Sounds like you need to learn how to play the game a little more and learn how helicopters work. After 5 pages of replies which I can't be bothered to read, I'm sure someone's already gone into the details. :)

Alrite, just backup up the actual file then deleted it out, simple as. Nice one guys.

I think to use some of the systems aboard the Black shark like Datalink and Flares, you need to throttle up, not sure how far but having the throttle above idle activates some systems.

Hey guys, I was wondering if there's a way to skip the first FAM flight for the first campaign in Blackshark? I've restarted my campaign a few times and I can't really be bothered to fly around in a big circle for 40 or minutes once again..I was wondering if there's a line I can edit for my pilot profile or some way of just moving straight on to the next mission? Also I was wondering if there's a possibility to change the startup options for a mission? I want to manually fire up my helicopter, it's kind of boring just starting the mission with everything already running. You're given a few minutes before you're meant to take off before each mission anyway so that's more than enough time to fire up the Black Shark. It's not that important however, I mainly want to skip that first mission. Can't be bothered doing the FAM flight again!! :) Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Help guys, I somehow have turned on this setting and I genuinely have no idea how. All I did was go to options and turn on labels and mirrors for my helicopter and switched the language to Russian for the cockpit as I prefer it looking authentic. I load up a game to test it out and I get this: Any idea what I've done to enable this crap? I tried turning off labels but it's still there...I start the game with engines on and in external mode and this is just...fail... How do I turn this crap off and get it back to proper simulation? Even the flight mechanics have gone arcadey...I checked the gameplay options and the proper physics are enabled..

Well bit of a bump but I just tried the 1.01 patch and my game crashing issue is now gone. Strange but glad it works.

Hmm, well my game seems to no longer have the problem with the 1.01 patch. It's been a while but good to be flying again.

Right, I've uninstalled the game now. It's taking up space and it's useless in its current state. It's going to stay uninstalled until I get some real help from the team who made the damn game. So basically it looks like I've wasted my time and money...Thanks to those community members who actually tried to help, it is appreciated but I'm very dissapointed with the lack of response from any developers or tech help. Bye for now.

There are no records about it in my windows even log, I think I mentioned that in a previous post. I've tried playing this on another account but that doesn't work either. Anymore ideas or will the ED people finally help me out? lol

Yes but what you don't know is that my problem has not been solved, I have tried all that has been suggested by the community, sure it's vacation time now but I've been waiting for around a month or two with this problem. :)

Okay cool. I don't have that UAC crap turned on as it's annoying. :) I don't have a virus, my system is clean. I usually check once a month or so for virus' and spyware. I have tried launching the game with no antivirus on. Also tried launching 'as admin' setting, I do have full admin access. As for my profile being corrupt, surely that would effect other programs/settings too? I'll give making a guest account a try or something, see if that works..just doing the check disk now, will update. Shouldn't imagine I'd have any errors though. -------------------------- Well, no problems found on the disc.

I have full admin access, so it can't be that :) Even tried using the 'run as admin' feature but no effect.

People have mentioned these codecs...I really don't know what and where these codecs are but if someone could tell me where to find them, I'd happily try uninstalling them or whatever. As for changing anything scince last time Blackshark run, the only things would be windows updates but they're mostly security updates which I don't really want to go changing/uninstalling. I've tried installing the game with my antivirus off but still have the problem. I don't see anything in the event logs regarding anything along the lines of DCS crashing or program hangs so, not sure about that. As for the long explanation, I really don't understand much of that haha. If you could simplify some terms, I might be able to pick up on what you're getting at. Thanks much people!

I don't have windows restore points turned on. They're generally useless and allow some virus' to keep replicating themselves over and over. There's been nothing new install wise except windows updates which are important and security based so don't want to start removing them. Thanks for the suggestion though.

Yes. I recieved an email back from 'post master' or whatever saying delivery of the message failed. Usually indicated the address is no longer there.

Seriously, there's no one here that can give me anyway to contact the people who make this game/help and support? I appreciate the responses so far but I'm still unable to play this game after what, a month and a few weeks? This whole thing would be so much quicker if I could speak to someone who is involved with this game. I really miss this game. :(

All it does is convert them to something else when I ask it to, otherwise it has no effect on any files... No, I don't have any Ace Mega codecs installed, that was the other guy in this thread, I kind of hi-jacked his thread a little bit as I didn't want to start a completley new thread for a similar problem.
