wip How make do I make the wingman do anything in SP
Count Sessine replied to Count Sessine's topic in DCS: AH-64D
Thank you ! That was the problem. I just needed to move the frequency selector. Read the manuel, eh... -
Hi guys My wingman is totally unresponsive at all times. He just follows me around. I have used the PTT buttons and the old Comms button but nothing works. Is this a bug or is there something about the Apache comms I don't understand? Some SP missions are quite hard with only one loadout - I need more Hellfires

I solved the problem, somehow. It had something to do with a Win 10 user profile that had become hidden and thus unavailable somehow....

Ok so I figured out that it is a positional problem. If I reset the position from Steam VR, the gray area disappears and DCs is visible once again. But the position is invariably 2 meters too high above the cockpit. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to adjust it. I've played DCS VR since 2016 and never had this problem. When I exit DCS, the floor in the Steam landscape is a eye height. Any tips would be very appreciated.

I'm getting this too, suddenly. What gives? Clearing environment data did not fix it. The headset works fine with other apps.

Hi Reflected - I just thought I should say how impressed I was with your work. The best campaign I've played in DCS in a loong time. The postcards, music etc, very creative stuff. The 1969 vibe was strong and good. I'd like to also give a thumbs up to @Wolfpack - you're a good voice actor as were all the others PS. I played the whole thing in VR.

Count Sessine replied to nikoel's topic in Virtual Reality
Thanks for the work you guys have been doing on this. It has really made a difference to my VR performance across the board. Except for the Apache: all other modules perform 50+ FPS on my machine, but the Apache, with the same settings, can barely get over 15 FPS. Is this just teething problems for the new module or what do you guys think? Edit: I turned down the render scale and that did the trick. -
I got this too. All other aircraft run really well, but the apache suddenly dips into 12-15 fps.

2021 (and earlier) DCS Newsletter Discussion Thread
Count Sessine replied to NineLine's topic in DCS 2.9
Yes, fair enough, I guess my post was inappropriate in the context here. If we stay within context of this game, however, we can agree that perhaps the Mosquito was not exactly the precision instrument the post makes it out to be -

Yes it is very well written and interesting. It paints a rosy picture. In March 1945, Mosquitoes were tasked to bomb the Gestapo HQ in Copenhagen. A Mosquito hit a telephone pole on the way in and crashed between a teater and a school. This prompted the rest of the flight to drop their bombs on the smoking wreck. 86 schoolchildren and 18 adults were killed by the bombs and the school was totally destroyed. All in all 250 people were killed that day almost all civilians. 900 families lost their homes. Some of the planes managed to hit the target although they inadvertently killed 8 resistance fighters who were being kept in the building by the Germans. My performance, no settings changed, has improved by 15-20 FPS in my benchmark scenarios. It's pretty amazing, Even with heavy clouds, the FPS is higher than before.

Oil In The Water SP & CO Campaign
Count Sessine replied to Bunny Clark's topic in Missions and Campaigns
I really love this campaign. Hot start is nice and the historical flavor of each mission is just really cool. -
OPERATION CAGE THE BEAR (F/A-18C HORNET CAMPAIGN)
Count Sessine replied to kaba's topic in Missions and Campaigns
I'm having a blast with this campaign. Well done. I like the hot starts, cold starts are such a chore, how it is gradually increasing in diffuculty. Thank you. -
They could literally do a 3000 x 3000 km map of the GIUK gap with very, very little landmass to design. One can wish. Would be so nice for many platforms in the game, especially the carrier aircraft ofc. :)

Good work. Very atmospheric scenery.
