  1. I have exactly the same Problem.... Again. Sadly this Error comes back with every other DCS Update. With the latest Update and Hotfix from 04.Feb DCS keeps Crashing, freezing SteamVR, overloading the VR Compositor or lagging the GPU Driver. What has crashed DCS for me this evening alone: Joining a Server Leaving a Server Rejoining the same Server Looking around in the Cockpit Switching Views Selecting a different Slot/Plane VR Headset: Valve Index CPU: Intel Core i5-11600K at 5.1Ghz RAM: Kingston 64GB 3600MHz DDR4 (2x32GB) GPU: ASUS Nvidia RTX 2080Ti Strix OC DCS is installed on its own 1TB Samsung SSD Nvidia GPU Driver Version 511.65 Windows 11 Pro Build Version 10.0.22000 Build 22000 Steam VR 1.21.7
  2. Just bought all the NS430 DLC. Please release one for the Hind too
  3. After more testing all Fixed Wing run stable and the Helos (Ka-50, Mi-24) Crash my Game. Helos are more intensive on the System do to the closer proximity to the Ground. My guess is DCS overloads the VR compositor or GPU Driver I will wait for the next update and see if there are any changes. Everything else runs stable on my Hardware. Most likely it is some Software nightmare not even necessary DCS. Prime candidate GPU Driver or the usual Windows f*up.
  4. Thanks for the tips. But sadly its nothing of the above. I just flew a Mission with lots of Air and Ground Units without any Crashes or FPS drops. We flew the Mission without any Mi-24 Hind in it. With a sample sice of one. I would say the crash is somehow related to the Mi-24. Tomorrow I will test a few more Missions and fly more different Aircraft to make sure it is a Problem with the Hind. And just for comparison the Log File of the Mission without Crashes. dcs.log
  5. Yes I did. I normally only play on Steam VR Stable. I upgraded to the latest Beta Version to see if there are any improvements in DCS. There are some but DCS is still very unstable. I had no... less problems before the last couple hot-fixes and the last big update.
  6. Steam VR: 1.20.3 [BETA] DCS still crashes but it runs a little longer before doing so. dcs.log
  7. Still the same even after reinstalling the Driver. dcs.log
  8. Sadly i have the same problem again in VR with DCS. The game freezes or crashes. CPU: 11600K RAM: 32GB GPU: RTX 2080Ti GPU Driver: 472.12 VR: Valve Index Steam VR: 1.19.7 Next step I will do is to DDU the GPU Driver and reinstall the same Version. dcs.log
  9. Sorry for digging out this older post but I was thinking it is more reasonable to do so then making a new post because this one still pops up in the Google search result if you search for the NS430 in the Hind. If the NS430 would have VR support for the 2D and 3D model and support for the Mi-24P Hind I would really consider buying it on Steam. Right now without the Support of VR it has no big appeal for me. And I wouldn't mind more Modules included in the Steam Version of the NS430 even if this means the Price would go up. Would only be fair to increase the price if the other 3th Party Modules would be added and VR Support. (Maybe like the A-10C II upgrade-model)
  10. Well... i give up! I tried everything. Nothing seams to help. FPS are bad and the game crashes randomly. The best result I had with an F-5E on the Cold War Server. You could almost call DCS stable while flying the F-5 on the cold War Server. Sometimes I can just fly fine even with planes like the F-14 or F/A-18. Saturday I was flying with the Hornet on the PGAW Server with no crashes. I will just wait for the next Patch and put DCS until then to rest. Strangely every other Game runs just fine. Maybe my Windows needs a fresh install. Wouldn't be the first time that Windows misbehaves :joystick:
  11. @BIGNEWY Is there a config option to turn off the VR Mirror Window? My theory right now is that when a Program has some kind of Game-Overlay it tries to render the Overlay in the VR Mirror on the Desktop and this conflicts with DCS or StemaVR or the way both work together. By turning off all Software I have running that has some kind of Overlay I was able to play even longer until it crashed again. This time maybe it was just a normal Bug that triggered the same behaviour. I was in my F-14 and wanted to turn down the lower Display brightness and in the moment I did the game crashed. I try to reproduce the Bug and i will look if the Game still crashes with other Planes. New Log as usual. dcs.log
  12. After updating to the today released optional Windows 10 V2004 Update (kb4571744) it looks like my DCS/SteamVR stopped crashing. I only had time to join a server just for a little bit but I will test it more in depth later.
  13. After deleting my DCS Savegames Folder and reinstalling DCS and Steam VR still the same. New DCS logs down below. I will try disabling all other Audio Hardware and see if this helps. But my theory is that the Audio Part is just an symptom. dcs.log
  14. After increasing my Pagefile from the Windows assigned 6.7GB to 32GB i was able to stay in the mission for a couple of seconds longer. The outcome was still the same result. Here are the new log. DCS and Steam Logs 2.zip
