  1. Last I heard they wanted to replace them with F-35s. Replacing with FA-50 seems weird at best.
  2. Hope for MiG-29A. Other possibilities could be BS3, AH-1, F-4 or nothing.
  3. Does that mean FF MiG-29A is no go? Its way more complex aircraft than Su-25 after all.
  4. I suppose they didnt have much info about this aircraft to make it beliavable. From what I saw on videos, the cockpit was taken from old variants. Real aircraft was based on MiG-29M, so It should have much more advanced avionics.
  5. From what I know, backbone of RuAF is currently made of Su-35s, Su-30SMs and modernized Su-27SM variants. Hoewer It seems like some unmodernized 80s variants are still in service. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ac23QOy3Y_xlUpYQ1xjQwVEYHi2qyoo3/view
  6. Its not "dead". There just probably isnt much to show. If I understand correctly MiG-23 is currently not priority for RAZBAM. There are some earlier projects in development like F-15E, Pucara, South Atlantic etc. + lot of work on released modules like AV-8 and M2000.
  7. Latest estimate was something like "before 2022", but given current progress I would expect it much later.
  8. Sadly nothing at all. We dont know even if its going to DCS or another sim.
  9. Most likely yes. There is apparently a lots of issues due legislation concerning more modern variants of Russian jets. Maybe 9-13S variant could be doable as well, but I wouldnt take a bet on it.
  10. Flyable heavy aircraft in DCS would be great. Especialy if it would be Tu-95. But I think its imposible, sadly.
  11. Ehm no. There was plenty of La-7s used on Eastern front. Lots of pilots became aces while flying this aircraft. It used same engine like late La-5FN and when 7s came to service most of the problems with it were already solved. Main difference was in better aerodynamics and lighter airframe. 1946-1950 was time for further improved La-9/11.
  12. Early Cold war is very poorly represented in DCS in general. Its bit shamefull that we have MiG-15, but not its primary targets (B-29 and B-36). MiG-19 is in bit worse situation. F-100 would be ideal foe for it, so lets hope that somebody decides to make it as 3rd party module. Soviet WW2 assets would be nice, however It hard to think that somebody that would be willing to make them.
  13. I would buy any Soviet aircraft avaiable. If it would be same late variant like 9M,U or P, it would certainly made nice addition for possible La-7 and It would also be good oponent to German (or American) aircrafts that we have currently in game. Of course It would be nice If there would be some Soviet WW2 asssets and suitable map, however there was a pretty long time when only way to play WW2 in DCS was with P-51 against 109s and Doras over modern Caucascus. Its not ideal, but Its doable.
  14. Pretty much yes. Its similar to G variant. Just westernized 29A.
  15. One of the problems that I have with "modern" era in DCS is that it doesnt feel very authentic in current implementation (especially with very simplified EW). Its almost like fighting in the 80s, just without chaffs and flares. Problem is that there is lots of stuff that is classified and of course cant be showed in public game.
  16. Even without new missions and campaigns, Its not like there wont be anything to do with 29A. There will be Dynamic Campaign comming soon, there Is Liberation campaign in the meantime. DCS have also user-friendly mission editor, so we can always create our own missions and campaigns. All it needs is to be little bit creative and have a bit of imagination. So again, no problem If you dont want to boost your ego on MP.
  17. Yes. Simply because Viper is very famous aircraft. Falcon BMS have Its strengths over DCS. Its like If I ask why there are people that still fly IL2 1946 or X-Plane 11. Why did they leaved in the first place? Even with all Its weaknesses, DCS is still best simulation of Soviet/Russian aircrafts available. Unless you know a better one. And comparing DCS to Arma?! C´mon.
  18. I think that ED should add R-77PD. That would solve the problem with Red planes competitiveness. Right? This is getting ridiculous. Even for low fiddelity aircrafts you need to get lots of informations that are currently classified. And for a good reason. There were a lots of people asking for FF Soviet/Russian 4gen aircraft, hoewer when one is possibly going to be released.... I guess that some people just cant be grateful. I wouldnt be afraid about 29s profitability. Its iconic aircraft that served in many countries, even NATO ones. Especialy Russian community is going to buy it in big numbers. Given that we already have low fidelity one, I suppose that making one is not going to eat that much resources, as for example F-16 or Eurofighter. As for competitiveness, 90% of players doesnt play MP anyway, so I wouldnt really see issue here. Of course, you must always count that Western Aircrafts are simply going to sell better.Even If we miraculously got Su-30MKI, I doubt it would outsell F/A-18.
  19. On contrary. There was several helicopter fights during Iran-Iraq war. It mainly involved Mi-25(export Mi-24) and AH-1s.
  20. Early Cold War era needs some units desperately. There isnt much proper foes for MiG-15 and 19. B-29 is absolute must. I would also liked to see B-47, B-36, B-45, IL-28 and Tu-4. F-100 and F-104 are also needed, hoewer Its very possible that somebody could do those as FF.
  21. In DCS enviroment I´m more in favor of adding some rather interesting maps like for example Cold War Central Europe, Alaska and Kamchatka, Iceland, Cuba etc rather than "historical" maps. Reason for that is simply because I think than most of the post WW2 aerial conflicts are not that interesting to be "recreated." Personally I am not much fan of recreating these "100% historicaly accurate" missions, simply because I feel that It kinda kills creativity, imagination and its not that much fun. There is just much more interesting stuff to do with this kinds of maps.
  22. We can probably expect R-24 and R-60M that are available on AI MiG-23MLD. Its very possible that we could get also older R-3S, R-13M and R-60, since those are already in game. About R-23, Chizh said once that It would be easy to do, but when I look on treatment that Soviet/Russian missiles are receiving, I wouldnt expect those with MiG-23 release. And no, It wont be able to use R-27, since serial 23s never used them.
  23. We had. Once. But sadly not anymore. This folder is inheritance from Flanker 2.5 times.
  24. Capability wise It will be probably very similar. Maybe we will get better look-down ranges for radar, since FC3 model is currently underperforming in this area. Clickable cockpits are great,It feels more authentic and It allows you for much better understanding of the aircraft. Its much more fun that way.
