  1. I was able to start SteamVR by forcing a startup option through the Steam GUI. Then launching it with the MT version in the steam launch button.
  2. Please put me down for an A-10.
  3. Was there a recent change to the SRS server settings? A month or two ago the SRS server settings were changed to show the player tag that was transmitting and also supported expanded radios. A few days ago I was playing Last Man Standing and noticed I lost my expanded radios in the middle of the match and haven't figured out it was me or did something change on the server. Did anyone else notice this? The expanded radio was a real nice feature although it wasn't realistic. But for gameplay it helped with reducing comms congestion and was a decent work around for the deployed blue EWRs which do not respond on 251. I could switch my cockpit radio to 124 and still monitor 251 on SRS. The expanded radios could also be used for flight comms instead of the whole team stepping on each other on one freq.
  4. May I suggest that the schedule for this event gets a sticky post? Maybe edit the first post with the next date/time for the event. I was searching for it in this thread but couldn't find it. It was only when I checked the regular Cold War thread that I found it there: Sorry, my mistake. The next event is a totally new thing. I thought it was just another round for this one.
  5. Forgive me for asking the obvious, but I don't really understand why this game breaking. If we know there is one player attacking EWRs why don't we just assign one fighter to defend it? Within 15 minutes, this fighter is sure to see some action.
  6. From today on Search and Destroy. LOL this guy has some explaining to do.
  7. I read through all the recent posts and didn't see a reference to it. I may have overlooked it. I apologize.
  8. Add RB-24J back? Looking at the patch notes for 2.5.6.54046, the RB-24J has been fixed. Are we ready to have it added back?
  9. Comrade Mig-21 drivers, Has anyone noticed something different with max G-loading above 900kph airspeed? I might be crazy, but it seems after today's patch I can no longer pull more than 5Gs at 10 degrees AoA. I can pull more Gs and more AoA somewhere under 800kph. I saw something in the change log about changes to the damage model when exceeding g-limits so I tried to bend my plane and found out I couldn't even begin to get into g-loc. Tell me it just me
  10. Thanks for the clarification. I apologize if I sounded overly critical, it wasn't intended. I understand there's limits to what the mission designers can do and still make it fun and immersive. I enjoyed the first campaign and I'm very pleased with this one already. Money well spent.
  11. Ah...sorry, although I skimmed this thread I didn't realize the context without reading the spoiler in Glyn's response. Although I totally understand the tactic, it's doesn't seem plausible to me that the SAM site can track my JSOWs when launched closer, but yet can't detect them when launched further away. If the JSOWs are a radar hit from 35nm, wouldn't they still be a hit at the same range regardless of how far out they're launched? Also, I didn't get any RWR warning before I got close to 35 miles. I'm assuming the SAM has the search radar on and is actively searching. I'm no expert on the matter, but I thought at 30,000ft I would have a clear line of site to the search radar and can detect the EM energy over 40 miles away easily. Is this just a matter of realism vs. dcs simulation vs. mission scripting?
