  1. I figured out my issue, I had selected the F-16C bl.50 instead of the F-16CM bl.50. Not sure what the CM means, but if I would have scrolled down a little more I would have noticed that it was listed in yellow meaning I own it. After choosing the right plane variation the "player" skill choice showed up. Thanks!
  2. Thanks for the suggestion. I always use the fast mission (which isn't working with the channel map) so I kind of forgot about creating a mission from scratch. I just gave it a try and it kind of worked, but for some reason I couldn't control the plane. I set the pilot skill of my jet to "client" but I'm sure I missed something else I have to do. I'll have to revisit the docs or a youtube vid on creating missions. Thanks again!
  3. Thanks for the reply. I was looking at regular missions, I do see the instant missions for the P-51 and those are working. So currently there is no way to fly an F-16 in the channel map? Hopefully they are working on the issue.
  4. If I select instant action, then choose channel map, there is nothing listed in the middle. Also I don't see any channel map missions and when I try to create a fast mission, it starts loading for a few seconds, then goes back to the main menu. If I try advanced mode and generate, I get the error "getMissionNode NodeIds is empty" I've tried repair and also disabling channel, restarting, then re-enabling to no avail. Any suggestions would be appreciated!
  5. Thanks for the answer and snark. I must have missed in in the 110 pages of this thread? These megathreads are ridiculous, but I digress. This guys guide said they would be regenerated: He tells you to delete them, install the mod and they would get regenerated. I guess he is wrong, but the game seemed to work ok without them.
  6. I dropped from a solid 45 fps (ASW on) with Rift S to an average of 26 fps using my standard benchmark test, which is the first 30 seconds of the Persian gulf free flight mission, looking forward and just flying straight. I changed some of the settings down below where I normally have them, but even with doing that was only able to get it up around 33 avg fps :(
  7. I was doing some benchmark testing with the mod enabled. That worked fine and I was just going to remove the mod and test some more, but I noticed that the "Mods\terrains\PersianGulf\misc\metacache" directory did not contain a dcs directory, just the dcs.old that I renamed. Any idea why that would be? I thought it was supposed to regenerate that directory and files inside. After removing the mod and flying for around 30 seconds of the persian gulf free flight mission, that dir was still not there. Maybe I was confused and those files are not generated? Thanks!
  8. Thanks for all the replies. I didn't realize the "full" plane was needed for an AI version. I was thinking those were modules that somehow were installed when not needed so just wanted to double check. Ok, back to learning the Viper!
  9. I just happened to notice in the CoreMods/aircraft folder there are a lot of planes listed that I don't own yet, but are taking up a lot of disk space (see attachment). I assume if I delete those folders, they will just get downloaded again on the next update. I only own Ajs37, F-16C, F/A-18C, and Ka-50. There are 19 plane directories and 1 ChinaAssetPack (not sure what that is). Can this be fixed? Thanks!

    ADF issues

I'm confused on this as well. All the frequencies on the map and in the briefing are in MHz, but the manual states the range of ADF frequencies is 190 - 535 kHz. For example, the lowest frequency listed for Al Dahfra in the briefing is 3.975 Mhz, but that would be 3975 Khz, which is outside the given range. Where do you see that Dubia is frequency 265? How would you enter that on the scratch pad, 000265? Thanks for the help, I am new to this but looking forward to learning. I guess for now I will move on to tacan navigation.
