  1. I sadly didn't have this much luck with my G940 FFB. Before the recent AP reworks the AP worked both with the photocell engaged or not engaged, but now it doesn't work under either circumstance. Only Engaging the AP (attitude hold) seems to work fine, but ALT hold either slowly creeps the nose up to the sky or down to the ground, with similar behaviour in the ACL mode. If there are any tests I could do to help sort this out, I'm more than happy to help.
  2. Since the autopilot still seems to have problems with FFB sticks after the latest patch (18th May), I'm going to bump this topic to hopefully gain some insight.
  3. Concerning the problems that have occurred after the newest patch with the Autopilot not working, or not working correctly for users with a FFB stick, I was wondering whether there is any description of how the autopilot is supposed to work with FFB sticks. For Example, should the stick be centred to the neutral position for the AP to engage or should the stick be aligned with the trim indicator on the controls indicator? I think this could greatly help in reducing a lot of confusion that exist around this topic, and lead to more informed and concise description of the occurring problems.
  4. The engine of the Harrier doesn't seem to windmill even at high IAS, which makes a normal inflight engine relight impossible. (Writing it in this forum instead of the bug forum, since I wouldn't call it a bug but rather a missing feature)
  5. When you do a cold start, your landing gear doors are open at the beginning and close up once there is hydraulic pressure. I was wondering how to get them back open once the aircraft is shut down. One way I found to get them to drop open is to activate the emergency gear release on the ground and then just reset the emergency gear release but that can't be the correct procedure, right? Is there maybe a hidden handle that opens the uplock latches for the landing gear doors like on the p-51 or am I missing something else?
  6. Thank you very much for your quick answer
  7. I wanted to ask, whether there is a way to set up the three different waypoint sequence from the mission editior.
  8. Hornet Missile Warning System I was wondering, since the AN/ALE-47 has an automatic program for IR-Sam (present in the LUA file for the countermeasure programmes \Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\Mods\aircraft\FA-18C\Cockpit\Scripts\TEWS\device), there must be either a AN/AAR-38 or AN/AAR-57 Missile Warning System on board of the Hornet for it to detect IR-Sam´s. I was wondering whether these systems are gone be modelled in the finished release version, and if so, are we gone get IR-Missile warnings like in for example the Mirage? Thanks for your help
  9. [iNVESTIGATING] Radiator Flaps axis Maybe its only me, but I think it would be great to have the option to assign an axis to the radiator flap control, since in the real plane the radiator flaps are also controlled by a rotary knob.
  10. Reload the mission or chose another plane.
  11. Just tried it out myselfe. It seems to be fixed, if you watch the track that I attached you can see that I had the NWS turned off.
  12. The default key for the paddle sitch is Y(Z if you use a european keyboard). Yes the FCS Bit is initiated by going to the DDI FCS Bit page and pressing the FCS button there and the paddle switch(Y) simultaneously.
  13. When trying to shut down and restart the Hornet, I noticed that I could Brick the FCS. I go into one of the ready on the ramp mission, no matter what map, and shut down the Hornet according to the Natops manual (Page 340-350) which you can find at this link. I then restart the Hornet according to the Natops manual(Page 321-325). When on step 6 (Page 325) the flaps are raised from the FULL position to the AUTO position you can already see on the FCS DDI page, that the left leading edge flap doesn´t raise up from its 12° down position, but rather stays there while the right one goes up to the 0° position. If I then initiate the flight controls system check by pressing the FCS RESET and the FCS paddle switch at the same time, already only one side of the surfaces are moving. By then initiating the FCS BIT, like adviced in the NATOPS manual, the plane seems to get stuck in the FCS BIT and none of the surfaces react any more, neither to stick and rudder inputs, nor to flap switch commands. I know most players are probably not gone encounter this BUG, but it might be a symptom of a bigger FCS issue. Logs.zip F-18 FCS BUG.trk System.zip
