Wow a lot more posts than I expected! I was coming in fast and until I posted this initial thread I didn't even know what the speed brake key was and I've still not tried landing with the speed brakes deployed. I am using a keyboard and it feels, to me, like the plane does not want to stop. It's like I'm skidding without any noise even though I'm not and I have anti-skid enabled I've thought several times that I would run off the end of the runway.

Haha speed brakes?! Yeah maybe I should use them next time.

I've been getting the L HYD PRESS warning come on when landing. I hammer the brakes usually since I come in too fast, is this normal for the pressure to go down the more you use the brakes? I thought as long as everything was working i.e. engines and hydro pumps that there would be a constant supply of high pressure available for things like the brakes. I thought maybe I blew a tire or something but everything looked fine. Oh yeah, I LOVE THIS SIM!

I swear I remember asking this same question when black shark came out..anyway. Can the pilot be killed by weapons fire like in IL2? I would think since this is a ground attack aircraft and everything seems modeled except for pissing in a bag that death by big ass bullet would be modeled. That way you know if the titanium bathtub really works!

I love huge manuals and complicated sims. They allow me to experience something that I'll never have the chance to do in my life for real. The more I feel like a real life pilot the happier I am.

Yes cross feed was flipped to on and I had external tanks

So I started on the ramp, taxied to the runway and began takeoff roll when my right engine shut down. I pulled off the runway and tried to restart the right engine and my apu wouldn't ignite, it would start to spool up and then fizzle out. My left engine was fine, I thought maybe I forgot a fuel pump or something but I did not. Then I turned off all the fuel pumps and everything and my left engine kept running. I put the brakes on and went full throttle to see if maybe it was residual fuel or something keeping it going and it still didn't shut down...bug? user error? nifty feature? lol

I know its not the 90's anymore but whenever you bought a Janes sim it came with a kick ass manual and it for sure didn't cost $100

So the shaft that holds the blades on the end, is there one shaft or two (one inside the other)?

I'm not saying I wouldn't be willing to pay for the upgrade if it adds in new features I want. The issue I have is that there a things currently in this version of Black Shark that have obviously been set up as if they were going to use the new engine (like the shkval and windshield wipers, they look cool but what is the point if the glass never gets dirty unless you're role playing you don't need to use them) I also read in a post that currently the ins does not accumulate error yet we have the option of fixing it but it does nothing (maybe that's a patch and not an engine issue). This isn't meant to be a rant, I just want to know what to expect later as more modules are released.

Sorry if this has been answered already.. I'm concerned over the engine and future updates to the DCS series of modules. I keep seeing posts relating to Black Shark about things not modeled as of yet because of current engine limitations. I want to know if the new engine that's coming down the road is going to be provided to those of us with Black Shark and if it'll be free to upgrade to it, or if it'll be like a re-release that we'd have to pay for again.

I tried loading that and using it and I can't seem to make it do anything..can we fire it and if so how?

How are they planning on working out jets and helicopters in multiplayer? I would think if they both could be flown together it's going to turn into everyone in jets killing the helpless people flying the helicopters...

When hosting a server how much bandwidth is required per client on average?

I was about to ask something related but upon thinking about it I think I figured it out, let me know if I'm wrong. I was wondering why low rotor rpm kills the electric to the ka-50 even if engines are at or near max rpm. Is it because of the free power turbine being connected to both the generators and the main rotors, so if one slows it slows the other?

That happened to me on my laptop, wouldn't recognize the key press so I remapped it to the tab key

Don't want to hijack but I also had a question about the APU. Does the APU have to be running in order to start a shutdown engine even if the other engine is on and running?

I smashed into my wingman and lost 2 blades ( I think, once I hit the ride started :megalol:) I managed to hold it steady for a little but then the rest of the blades broke off and I dropped like a rock. Now that I think about it maybe they just hit each other but I don't know, the thing was shaking something fierce.
