  1. Finally gettin the hang of it. Managed to take off, fly a few laps around the airport and bring 'er in for my first landing. Beautiful isn't she? Screenshot: http://min.us/m2LO7qrRT
  2. As a pretty serious simmer for quite a few years now I can happily say I am excited for this module. Just flying around so far and testing the stangs limits has been pretty fun. Looking forward to some missions, but until then I'll just pretend I'm at an airshow and buzz around the field
  3. Can I create an SPI from the TAD? I figure if I create an SPI on the red mark JTAC gives me I can slew all sensors right on top of it?
  4. Its not so much an issue when the JTAC marks it with smoke. I've practiced a lot with that method but with these missions there is no mark, so I feel more or less lost. Will keep trying.
  5. Correct I can input the coords, select the steerpoint/waypoint I just made then use China AFT LONG to slew TGP steerpoint. Does this sound correct?
  6. I have finally gotten to the point of being able to maneuver around, use guns, rockets, bombs, and mavs, however I am still having trouble with one crucial aspect. I have been trying a few missions, most recently the "Surrounded!" mission. However in every mission I attempt to fly, I cannot get on target, or find any of the enemy I am supposed to knock out. JTAC links me the data, I fly towards the red mark and scan around with the TGP but cant find anything. I cant even imagine trying to spot targets "WITHOUT" JTAC. I cant even find targets "WITH" JTAC. Any advice on getting on target?
  7. If I plug in the waypoint and give it the name JTAC and find out its in the wrong grid. Can I re enter the coords into the right grid and overwrite the original JTAC point I made? Also are there any updated mods that allow for JTAC to give you the 37T or 38T info?
  8. Well for whatever reason it managed to switch over to 37T this time. However it seemed to throw my waypoints off on my TAD, and also couldnt get the MAV to slew to the SPI. I marked the SPI on the red marker given by JTAC with TMS FWD Long, then tried to slave the MAV using China FWD Long but it would not. And for some reason the wedding cake was on my aircraft for the majority of the flight! Anyways here is the track. I would appreciate any feedback and help. I feel like I am pretty close to being able to mark points with SPI and get on target but this one really threw me off :( EDIT: Also, how are you supposed to know if ur target zone is in 37T or 38T when in the middle of a mission? I have the map that shows the divide but I wouldnt know in mid flight what side of that line I am on. Download to track: http://s000.tinyupload.com/index.php?file_id=80119531901788629274
  9. Hey folks. I am running a GTX 295 which is two video cards (I think 280's) sandwiched together. Lately I have had the second GPU disabled due to the fact it was crashing another game of mine that I frequent. Anyways, I was wondering if enabling that second GPU will have any affect on DCS A-10's performance, and if the sim even supports multi GPU's
  10. Under what directory will I find the multiplayer tracks?
  11. Appreciate the link however my problem is being able to change from 38T to 37T. Whenever I try to punch it into the CDU I get an input error.
  12. I have tried clearing it before entering 37T but still get an error. I will try again I suppose.
  13. When I type 37T and try to input it next to [] 38T I get an input error in the scratch pad.
  14. I am given coordinates from JTAC but they always seem to be like 800 miles away. Someone mentioned to me because its 37T coords hes giving you instead of 38T. However I have no clue how to change it. The display says "[]38T WG84" so I am assuming its on 38T instead of 37T. How do I correct this so I can input 37T coords?
  15. That's odd. There is no difference between the "Default" and "DCS" profile provided in that link. All the curves are the exact same. Screenshots: Default: http://min.us/mbFWoNSUp DCS: http://min.us/mW5E0pAGt Other folk on that thread you linked me (I think page 3) have the same issue. Profile does not change from default once I select the DCS profile :(
  16. I am rather new to both the sim and TrackIR. I find its pretty decent so far for viewing most the cockpit but when I need to view like the radios its quite painful. I have to tweak my head left and look down as much as I can, then when I try to zoom in the TrackIR loses signal. I almost feel like my virtual pilot is sitting to close. Can you easily move him back some? Surely there is an easier solution to getting around the cockpit with TrackIR than this. I am just using a default profile. Any suggestions are appreciated.
  17. Really appreciate all the feedback, resources, and tips! I have used just about all of them. Really helpful stuff!
  18. Those are both great references! Thanks gents!
  19. Not cheesy sounding at all. My biggest problem isnt figure out where I mapped the functions but instead I find my self going "Ummm ok how do I make an SPI? is it TMS FWD Long or TMS AFT Long?" So I know where the controls are (finally), I just have to train my brain to remember when to use them, heh.
  20. I have been at this sim all day today and all day all I could think was "how do the others memorize this stuff?" By stuff I mean "TMS Up short, TMS Up long, Left, right, etc, etc" for every HAT there. There must be 24+ functions if you figure 4 ways for each HAT and 2 functions for each direction (my math could be off, its late). Anyways, what should I do to practice getting all this into my brain?! I have been working with JTAC today and I still forget the proper functions just to slave my TGP to the coords given to me via JTAC.
  21. I am not entirely sure. I just plug in the GGXXXXX coord in and assign it. Not sure how to switch 38T and 37T
  22. I get an input error when trying to insert my coords next to the 38T button.
