  1. I'm taking the day off in celebration of this incredible occasion! Me and a friend are planning on jumping straight into a co-op campaign in hardcore mode!
  2. I like it, infact i actually prefer to keep the cockpit lights on now!
  3. I was thinking of this last night. Id love to be able to Datalink a target group and have friendly artillery (if within range) attack that group! It would be epic!
  4. To add to Lavas suggestion, and taken from 159th Viper in a similar post! Navigate to your Eagle Dynamics\Ka-50\BlackShark\data\scripts folder and open the options.lua with Notepad++ and find the following entries in red: ["heatBlr"] = 1, ["scenes"] = "high", ["water"] = 1, ["fullScreen"] = true, ["visibRange"] = "High", ["effects"] = 3, ["lights"] = 2, ["haze"] = 0, ["terrPrld"] = "40", Edit and Save to the following: ["heatBlr"] = 1, ["scenes"] = "high", ["water"] = 0, ["fullScreen"] = true, ["visibRange"] = "High", ["effects"] = 2, ["lights"] = 1, ["haze"] = 0, ["terrPrld"] = "40", "Note that some of the settings in black are set higher than what i use, i.e, heat blur, visible range"
  5. I downloaded game booster (GB) upon Waldo II's suggestion, and after some experimentation (and some GB research before installing) ive got some results. Nothing spectacular but may help lower spec users. My normal cpu and mem load according to Task Manager (this is without track-ir or fraps running, and obviously without DCS) 2% cpu - 192mb With GB on and enabled 2% cpu - 181mb (keep in mind enabling GB increases the mem usage before enabling, but enabling it reduces total mem usage overall) Enabling Track-Ir 4 (using track-ir 5 software) 2%- 4% cpu - 245mb (GB disabled) 2%-4% cpu - 235mb (with GB enabled) I didnt do any tests with DCS, because i just got off of work and ive had a few beers....but using game booster reduced my memory usage by 10mb. Ill do some tests with DCS in the near future and see what happens. I like the program though, its much easier than shutting down services manually.
  6. Awesome, thanks Toby! I must have originally downloaded a rehashed russian version of your pilot mod! This did the trick and it looks great! Im digging the Sharkpit mod as well!
  7. Im having no luck at all getting this mod to work (using new mod man 7, and 1.01a patch, downloaded mod from lockonfiles-and readme is in russian?) I recieve an error while installing, that several files couldnt install. Modman shows yellow status after install (im new to mod man but have several other mods working fine) All i want at this point is the new pilot skin, but the image names in the mod file are diffrent from the pilot image i can find in the game file! any ideas why, or how to remedy?
  8. Sounds awesome, much more natural. Props to TangoRomeos Battlefield FX Mod (I havnt tried it, but your hard work is appreciated)
  9. I screwed this one up too! By some miracle i landed on that cruiser on my first attempt, only to find out afterwords that i landed too far away from that damn truck!
  10. Wow, so i just unsuccessfully finished your mission, but holy crap man, i had a grin on my face the whole time! I went in fast like a bat out of hell and to my surprise i met all of al-quada around the corner! I took a lot of ground fire, and several sams came really close to ending me fast, but the terrain (which is awesome) saved my ass in a few tough spots! Im definitally going to play this one a lot! good job! great mission! what is the eta on insurgent success btw?
  11. I pretty much cleared out all buttons, and mapped just what i need - it took a while but its worth it. I love the LShift+, Lalt+, LCtrl+ functions, huge space saver! Im using a Saitek gamepad and rather than having to build a profile for it-DCS sees it essentially is a my other keyboard, ive got nearly 50 or more commands (from weapons systems, views, startup, gear) all on a 20 button pad, its sweet! one thing ive noticed tho - i reinstalled the game recently and loaded my saved keymap profile, and only the keyboard map had saved, reguardless of which option i loaded the profile under (Keyboard, Throttle Stick, Joystick) so this time i saved a profile for each of my inputs, just incase!
  12. It took me 4 attempts, only after learning the hard way how to keep away from SAMS  and other suprises! While returning to base after completing the mission, i did experience 1 glitch?, the radio kept repeating Two Rejoin...Two Regoin... could be nothing. There is also a lot of stuff going on, artillery, tanks tanks tanks, sams, explosions ... my fps took a few big hits. Very fun though! keep it up!
  13. it may be because the game scores only campaign data, which is wierd cuz there is ur flight time....and not to hijack your thread timm i hope to add to your question Is there a way to edit your campaign profile? My biggest grief is completing an hour long mission, sucessful take-off, landing and all that jazz, just to accidently hit the refly button @ the end of mission! OMG NO! So the game counts the first sucessful flight, as well as the second (failed) flight where i escaped b4 unpausing the game.
