  1. This is my concern as MSFS have stated repeatedly they will not allow weapons of any form on their sim. (Side note I'm not sure anyone is making millions on youtube from dcs content) I hope cooler heads prevail and this can get resolved. No matter whos fault it is if this is the real end between Razbam and DCS the real losers in this will be the player base.
  2. Bonus for having rockets on the outer pylons is being able to look at the front of the pod and see how many rockets are left. It's harder to see that if the rockets are on the inside pylons.

    MH-47G

I had to look it up the MH-47G is essentially the same helicopter as the CH-47F. Same avionics, same engines, etc the only difference is the MH version gets terrain following radar, weather mapping, FLIR, AAR probe, and extra gunners. Nothing too classified.

    MH-47G

Might be possible, the MH-47 has been used for awhile, kinda like the MH-60 there is most certainly multiple variants of the MH-47 and possibly a converted CH-47F version. Though I won't hold my breath on getting it on release or soon after with the release of Mirage F1 and HB F-14 A/B we have been seeing modules come out with multiple versions of the aircraft.
  5. The Chinook, (at least certain versions) are able to land on water. Is this going to be possible in the DCS Ch-47?
  6. Idk if it was fixed or not but recently I've used several WWII planes against each other and it definitely feels right. It mostly depends on where you hit them. Some times I down them with 1 burst some times it takes almost a full belt and they still don't want to go down. Though might be historically accurate since american planes for one where notoriously beefy when it comes to taking hits with one P-47 pilot taking several full bursts from a Fw-190 (who was an Ace pilot) and still flying back to base after the 190 pilot ran out of ammo.
  7. Fair, not to get to far off topic but I'd rather have all opinions even of not available for that particular model and date and just have mission makers / server admins disable them when applicable, then not have them for others. I.E. the original Apache exhaust ducts for country's other then the US to use or early GWOT missions. It's kinda annoying how certain modules get purists that only want to allow the equipment from a vary specific model and date while others (IMHO correctly) model every possible system for that airframe I.E. we have the P-51D-30 before any WWII pacific maps or even talk about doing any WWII maps out of Europe.
  8. True though it's part of takeoff procedure to put the prop in manual mode and then set it to 12 o'clock. From my understanding after take-off you where supposed to set it in automatic and leave it there unless you have a problem. Setting the prop to manual 12:00 position makes take-off more manageable. (Without auto-rudder and take-off assistance)
  9. I agree with waiting till the flight model and functionality is fully flushed out, my only problem with that is all the skins made up to that point will have to be modified, part of my point with it being easy on the digital side, is out of most things we can ask for on the wishlist this should be on the easy side so if this is being all out denied then whats the point of a wishlist other then minor tweeks that is more bug reporting then wishlist P.S. if eagle dynamics denies it I'm not really worried, this community is pretty awesome in the fact that someone will probably make a mod for it. kinda like F-16 CFT and FC3 clickable cockpits
  10. I'm not 100% sure on apache block configurations, and it was also muddied with deployed airframes getting updates when the parts became avaliable (besides depot level upgrades), from my understanding from hearing from a apache pilot all (if not most) apaches started off as A models I don't see what's so permanent about them especially since the defuser is more than likely a annual inspection item and a ware item, also on a helicopter that's supposed to be mostly field serviceable a fairing and defuser shouldn't be that hard to change, I get that it was probably doctrine to install the upgrade and not return them to the pervious defuser, but that's more doctrine then maintenance difficulty But I go back to the original statement of I don't see why the difficulty of actual maintenance to change them out matters in a digital environment, especially since the digital change wouldn't be harder then the mi-24 or mi-8
  11. As you state there are plenty of apaches in OIF and OEF with the exhaust mod installed though there are also plenty of examples of D model apaches that don't have it installed these are all deployed D model apaches of the US Army and even a longbow with standard exhaust the bottom picture was from kosovo in 2007. im not saying ED should put this before bug fixes or even before major fixes in the release just thay this minor cosmetic option will go along way to pleasing the community. We are not asking for different versions of the apache here or different avionics just for a cosmetic option that every other helo has since the UH-1H huey Like I said in the first post the longbow raydome is alot harder to install and remove then the ASPI Exhaust, all it is, is a exhaust duct and cowling.
  12. He's got a helmet and earplugs he's good lol. -ex airforce maintainer
  13. I don't understand your argument here isn't not like we are asking someone to physically take them off and put them on a helicopter, it's a slight model change which wouldn't be much harder then the mi8 or mi24. And if we where going to base it off how hard it would be to change in real life the F-16C chin pods wouldn't be removable as well as many other targeting pods including the apache's own radar mast. My understanding in real life especially with the F-16C they either have a pod or not they don't usally install or uninstall the pod unless the pod needs maintenance. Allowing not to have the ASPI Exhaust opens this apache model to be used with other countries skins including Israeli which would help support the sryian map as well as the US apache's own 15 mins of fame in the opening act of Operation Iraqi Freedom 2003, this also being the case pre-ASPI exhaust I love what EDs done with the apache so far and I understand if this is something that wouldn't be a priority until after radar hellfires and the radar mast, but i do believe itll be a easy win for ED to give the people who love the apache especially seeing it growing up the option do have the classic exhaust look as well as having the option for a more accurate look when using it in pre2005 and foreign country scenarios.
  14. i got this one from reddit but its slow is the 765mb file size about right https://ufile.io/aoi5uv40
  15. I'm all good with any Navy model or like the f-14 2 different F-4s, a F-4E and the most similar Navy model.
