  1. Just had this happen again, .. changed my password last week. Only one Login, .. and only Single Player. .. frustrating, when you're in the middle of a Mission, .. and you just get kicked out .. :( Cheers Tom
  2. Hi Just had it happen to me today ... twice .. :( Changed password, .. but, it is of concern. Have DCS accounts been hacked?, .. or, is this related to the patch? https://forums.eagle.ru/attachment.php?attachmentid=227645&stc=1&d=1581840075 Cheers Tom
  3. Hi, As Goblin correctly noted, .. it's not the Twist Lock that is turning, .. it's the mounting to the base that is turning. .. try and tighten it if you can. Mine required quite a lot a lot of force to tighten it up. I also thought at first, that the Twist Lock was rotating slightly, .. but, it wasn't. If you look at the pic I posted earlier, .. the set screw goes through both the inner and outer parts of the Twist Mechanism, .. .. thus preventing any rotation of the outer part around the inner part. .. so, not possible for it to twist .. :) Not sure what Virpil did with the VFX mount assembly, but, I don't have the problem with my other Virpil grips, .. nor, the Thrustmaster grips, .. although the F-18 is not as good as the Warthog when it comes to tightening up the grip on the base. I'd have much preferred that the Grip came without the Twist Mechanism, .. as I don't want it, .. don't need it, .. and will never use it. Although I do understand that some people want it. However, .. the mechanism looks like it was probably one of the more costly items in the Grip, .. and now I have pay for something I didn't want, won't use, .. etc etc.. Virpil should have made 2 versions of the Grip, .. one with, .. and one without the Twist, .. and priced accordingly. I hope that this is not going to be a trend with Virpil, .. as they introduce new Flight Sim grips into the market. :( Cheers Tom
  4. Hi Hamilton, If your pic shows that the Set Screw is tightened fully clockwise, .. believe me, it's not even beginning to engage with the twist lock mechanism. When the screw has fully engaged with the twist lock, .. it should be recessed into the hole by ~ 7 to 8mm. ..only then will it have locked the 2 cylindrical sections of the twist lock together. Please check that you haven't cross-threaded that screw .. :( Cheers Tom
  5. Hmm, .. odd, .. I just tried it, .. and it worked fine for me .. twice .. :) .. on Open Beta 2.5.5.38140 Not sure what to suggest, .. but, the Mission seems fine. Cheers Tom
  6. See my reply here .. https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=4084251&postcount=2
  7. Hi, Not gone, .. just barely audible. :( On the release version, with in-cockpit sounds at 50%, I can hear the switches clearly. On the open beta, .. even with in-cockpit sounds at 100%, they are not as audible as the release version at 50%. Of course, that's when the cockpit is cold and dark. Doubt I would hear those switches on the open beta, .. with the engine running. :( Cheers Tom
  8. All works fine for me, .. and the trim descriptions match my input .. :) Nose down = push up on my trim hat Nose up = pull back on my trim hat i.e. Normal Cheers Tom
  9. I have the TM F-18 grip on my Virpil T-50 Base, .. and it works just fine. Just remember to Create a New Profile, .. and select the TM Warthog/TM F18, .. as your grip. Cheers Tom
  10. I have the F-18 grip on my Virpil T-50 Base, .. and it works just fine. Just remember to Create a New Profile, .. and select the TM Warthog/TM F18, .. as your grip. Cheers Tom
  11. +1 .. I've noticed that he seems to be bailing out a lot more than usual. I've had a couple of hairy landings on the Carrier with my damaged Cat, .. and as soon as things look like they might go a bit pear-shaped .. he vacates the plane .. :( .. that is the time when he should be telling me .. to do some of that "pilot shit" .. :) Need a new RIO, .. one with some nerves .. ;) Cheers Tom
  12. Hi, Since the latest update, .. every mission that starts on the ground, or the Carrier Deck, has the nosewheel offset to the left. Cheers Tom
  13. Hi, I get this effect when I use Ultra Shadows, .. turning Shadows down to Low or Medium tends to reduce the effect, .. but then the Shadows are crappy. :( All other Aircraft with MFDs etc. seem to be fine, .. it's just the Hornet. Cheers Tom
  14. Apologies, .. it looks like the changelog was updated since I saw it earlier today, .. there was nothing for the F-14 in the original changelog. Cheers Tom
  15. Huh?, .. I have no idea what you are reading, .. but, I don't see any updates for the Tomcat. .. for today's OB Update 2.5.5.33057 Cheers Tom
  16. Mine auto-locks just fine .. no problem at all. Realistic TDC not selected .. Using a Hat switch on Virpil T-50 Throttle. Cheers Tom
  17. As do Virpil, .. with the added benefit of being able to rotate the grip to the angle you want, .. which is especially useful for center-mounted sticks, .. without using extensions. I have 3 Grips (2 Virpil and a Warthog stick) that I use with my Virpil T-50 Base, .. and all that is required is to load the Profile (optional) for the new grip. The Profile contains specific config info (if required) and calibration data (due to weight differences) for the different sticks. .. no flashing of firmware required .. :) If I ever purchase the TM F-18 grip, .. it will just plug straight in to Virpil base. I've ordered the Virpil F-14 (VFX) grip, and the same applies .. i.e. plug and play .. :) Cheers Tom
  18. I agree :) It's not like it's a missing switch or knob, or something functional. I'm pretty sure that the model is probably missing a few thousand other parts, nuts, bolts, rivets etc., .. and my F-18 flies just fine .. :) Devs have far more important things, like functional items, .. to occupy their time with. Cheers Tom
  19. Pretty sure that 25% discount applies to the purchase of the DCS F-18 Hornet sim, .. not the TM F-18 stick. EDIT: Confirmed: found the text below from Thrustmaster's Facebook page .. "Hands on time with the F/A-18C Hornet™ HOTAS Add-On Grip isn’t the only treat for FlightSimExpo attendees; they also get some sweet TM swag AND a 25% discount code for the F/A-18C Hornet module in Digital Combat Simulator!" Cheers Tom
  20. Your answer is in this video .. :) Cheers Tom
  21. That looks like a HUD frame behind the box .. .. then there's this pic .. Look at the box below the stick .. :joystick: So, I believe it's the new F-18 HOTAS. .. pity about the pricing .. :( Cheers Tom
  22. Hi, Well, .. I'm using VPC Confiiguration Tool (VPC-JOY-190514) .. and tested using VPC Joystick Tester Tool (v05) .. and my buttons (logical) go from 01 thru 28. This is using a MongoosT-50 Base with the CM2 stick. See this post, by mazex, .. for Layout Templates for the T-50CM and CM2 https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3908036&postcount=1 No need for me to do one .. :) Cheers Tom
  23. Hi, Not sure how you got a button 0, .. unless you changed the mapping/naming somehow. .. and 28 is the last button .. not 27. You need to add 1 to all your numbers .. e.g. 0 to 1, 1 to 2, etc. etc. Cheers Tom
  24. Hi Mazex, Thanks for doing these, .. the layouts are great. Couple of things on the T-50 CM2 Grip:- The push down button on the middle bottom hat switch should be 11 .. not 17 (you actually have this duplicated as the push down on the outer 2 position switch, .. which is the correct 17). Also, you've missed Button 27 as the button on the Z-Axis lever. :) The T-50 CM Grip (original) is mostly incorrect. It only has 19 buttons, and you've referenced 28, .. as with the CM2. Here is the correct numbering. I've put the actual number vs your number .. 1=1 ; 2=2 ; 3=4 ; 4=10 ; 5=16 ; 6=18 ; 7=19 ; 8=20 ; 9=6 ; 10=7 ; 11=8 ; 12=9 ; 13=12 ; 14=13 ; 15=14 ; 16=16 ; 17=right thumb single button (missing on yours) ; 18=26 ; 19=button on Z-Axis (missing on yours) Also, .. the CM1 doesn't have a button on the flip up/flip down trigger .. so, no 28 Hope this helps .. :) Thanks again .. :) Cheers Tom
  25. Hi, Just saw this on Digital Combat Simulator Facebook page .. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=1253065461518202&set=pcb.2083261171799889&type=3&ifg=1&__tn__=HH-R&eid=ARAdfoPs5utI31zXIrUa98o_wikmii5uwoIDvDBC9M_D51s3WjXYa6hO6_oD_rlqMeVy2rfQ6uNQQtfL .. for those that have access to that group. Looks like a retail version of the F-18 Stick .. :) Cheers Tom
