  1. The first mission could get tricky if you spend too much time over the area, so you need to be skilled dealing with bridges to destroy them within time and returning base with the rest of flight groups operating there because it is designed to pop up several MANPADS close to bridges at some point. So you executed fine the flight plan and even destroying by your own all the objectives. Good job. Flying my own campaign i have had some unexpected situations while landing and taxing to park, The most memorable was a blue on blue incident, it was when a friendly ship totally destroyed my flight group when we were about to touch runway. Checking the replay it seems they were trying to destroy a lost cruise missile over airbase and my wingman and me were in the middle. Thanks for the suggestions they are good points.
  2. jpm1, the password it is in the pdf; "eagle2". About the first mission: They are about 14 "sab-100" packs dropped in the area during the mission. The first packs are dropped exactly at 1:07h by a MIG flight group. The others are dropped later by Su-25 groups operating in the area also controlled by IA. You have to follow the waypoints controlling the designed speed so when you reach the attack point you can see the same as you can see in the first pic i have attached in this thread if you zoom a bit the camera. In that pic the southern 2 bridges can be seen just to the right of some buildings on fire. If you send your wingman to attack mission objetives when you reach attack point he probably takes care of northern one, that will not be good iluminated but should be spoted if you study the recon photo in the briefings (pdf file), so the mission can be acomplished just in one run over the area. There is also one sab-100 pack dropped over the sea, that signal can be used for exit and enter point if the first run failed, in the second photo i have attached, you can see the area from that point. In this case all bridges are destroyed. So if you dont see candle bombs, it could be because you reach the area too soon, or there is a problem with MIG and su-25 IA airplanes weapon payload. Wich lock on version are you playing ?
  3. Being overexcited about black shark and while waiting for international DVD release i took my old lock on CD and started again to play a bit. I don't own flamming cliffs expansion neither played too much online or built any kind of sortie with the mission editor, but this time, don't know why, i started to make a campaign. So here you have a su-25 campaign for the basic su-25 (no su-25t) with 12 missions, and a pdf file with extended biefrings and photos. It is builted on 1.02 version, don't know if it will work in the newest version, but if any can try it to check it or modificate it to be able to run i would apreciate it. Also i would apreciate it if you tell me if you find any bug or strange behaviour. What i most fear is if the AI airplanes will have the weapons i designed for them, because i dont know exactly if the weapons groups are standar or i needed to save them. Enjoy. Files are all compressed in .rar format, i had to split the briefing in 2 files because it had more than maximun height permitted. The other one is the campaign file. crisis_in_georgia-briefings1-7.rar crisis_in_georgia-briefings8-12.rar crisis_in_georgia.rar
  4. As far as i know they added su-25t, isn' t the basic su-25 as playable still in game?
  5. Hello. I have developed a su-25 campaign with lock on 1.02. I would like to know if this campaign will run on last versions (flaming cliffs), if it requires minor changes by an owner of flaming cliffs to be able to run it or if it is just impossible due to compatibility issues.
  6. i have a little question about 1.02 version. Can missions made on 1.02 editor be run on FC?
  7. I still don´t own the game but i have to disagree with you, i have read the GUI manual and with the given tools you could make a single mission that you will not run the same. Just put a 10 random trigger at mission start and you have 10 fresh missions, add flags to the combination and those random triggers could take several paths. With not so much effort you would need 30 or more runs of the same mission to "run the same" just playing with flags and triggers. So at the end it is on the hands of mission builder how much replayable can be a mission.
  8. Thank you for the reply, at last i am going to buy this: GEFORCE 9600GT 512mb DDR3 PSU NOX URANO 600W 12CM SATA Motherboard GIGABYTE G31M FXB1600 DDR2-1066 GIGABIT CPU INTEL CORE 2 DUO E8500 2X3MB 3,16GHZ RAM 4GB DDR2 PC800 KINGSTON WINDOWS VISTA HOME PREMIUM
  9. I remenber playing f-19 stealth fighter and its upgraded version f-117 in my awesome commodore Amiga 512k. With the computer it came for free F-29 retaliator another great sim. Those three games were what got me in the flight simulator world. Those were released around 1988/90. Oh man we are old farts lol. I did a search in youtube and there is video about it.
  10. Here (it is a section of this forum) http://forums.eagle.ru/forumdisplay.php?f=87 Anyway i think the people is still learning the game so there aren´t too many missions available. Also the game hasn´t hit shops in europe or america so a small % of future total users own the game.
  11. I have to choose one of those options in each section. I dont´t want the best options but an overall good balance between price/quality computer, and of course be able to run DCS:BS quite decent. Could you help me? -- All prices (except PSU) are without taxes. 12. It is this model http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c00751146&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&jumpid=reg_R1002_USEN And the card; (click specifications tab) http://www.nvidia.com/object/product_geforce_8800_gt_us.html Anyway i think i am going to buy a new computer (it would be good to have a computer backup due to my work) but then the video card will be worse than 8800gt. I have open a new thread about that to help me choosing hardware components from a list. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=613899#post613899
  13. Can´t wait, i hope the manuals have high quality translation and i ask myself if ED would put them for downloading before the game hits stores.
  14. I think there was a method to achieve that. If you put the units visible (but not active) you could make a trigger to activate them when damaged (or when your flight enter a trigger zone, don´t remenber if can be damaged while inactive but visible), then you can design the armored group waypoints; for example first waypoint at 1km/h straight and then make them go back at 100 km/h for example. Then it seems that the armored group is fighting back a bit and then retreating. Can´t check it by myself until game box is available though.
  15. Thanks for the reply, could you tell me how can i check what is the exact power suply of my computer? I have read the computer manual and it says ( my english is not good, this is a translation); "Don´t overload the system installating aditional cards wich consume too much power. The system is designed to handle 2 Ampers (as average) to +5 volts in each card of the PC. The total consume of the power as 5 volts in a full system (with all expansion slots full) doesn´t have to be superior to the total of slotsmultiplied by 2 ampers." Don´t know if this has any relation with the question but perhaps can help.
  16. My system specifications right now: HP pavilion 7530 (premade), Intel i945P/G, intel dual core 2.80 Ghz, 512mb DDR2-SDRAM X 2 ( 1gb RAM),and Geforce 7500 LE. Originally my system came with only 512 MB and i added another 512mb, also i changed the graphic card from gf7500 LE to 7600 GT. Few months ago my 7600 GT card died (after 2 years with no problems) so i had to put the old 7500 one. I would like to buy a 8800GT card and add 2gb RAM but i am a bit concerned about a couple of things. In the nvidia 8800 Gt specifications notes it says Maximum GPU Temperature (in C) 105 C Maximum Graphics Card Power (W) 105 W Minimum System Power Requirement (W) 400 W I dont know how much power has my system and how much temperature can handle. In the back of my tower computer it says: AC / input 100-127V 6.0A 50/60HZ 200-240V 3.0A I dont know what exsactly this means. Could my system have killed my 7600GT card? Could my system run a 8800 GT with no problems? Can i mix DDR2 RAM with other types of RAM or all chips need to have same characteristics? Thank you.
  17. To make all people happy, it would be nice after this helo, a CAS fixed wing type aircraft (A-10 or Su-25), and then an air to air type (F-16, Mig-29 or F-15, Su-27). That will make in a relatively short time (1.5 - 2 years) all types of flying available (AA and AG, non fixed/fixed aircrafts available).
  18. The trick that you didn´t know when you started with the sim but now is vital, that procedure that you did wrong and you found the proper way, the hardest thing you had to learn and how you did it, those little things not well documented that you learned by trial and error or researching, that hotkey or switch you always forgot and could have save you loads of hours....
  19. Iranian anti-air defend system review, perhaps can be useful. http://www.militaryphotos.net/forums/showthread.php?t=129494
  20. It is an important question that should be answered. I am planning to make a large campaign and it would be horrible if there isnt backwards compatibility.
  21. Simulators world is a niche. Let´s face it. We are a small world and fractured in a lot of sections (flight, ground vehicles, ships, subs ..). Perhaps the future will be to join all those worlds in large massive battlegrounds with multirole capability. My dream will be a mmosim (massive multiplayer online simulator).
  22. Can´t wait for the boxed version. Too bad there isn´t a collecionist edition, i would buy it even for triple price if it would have manual hard copy, maps, hotkey plastic cards, dvd with videos etc
  23. Any chance for subtitles in the videos?. Put the localization groups to work. :book:
  24. Mixed reactions. Great and bad. Great because it has loads of info and bad because it doesnt explain the "how to´s" very accurate and some concepts and terms are totally unknow for me and the manual call them as known. I´m in a second reading of the manual and this time i am cathing better all the concepts. I will not own the game until europe box release so i suppose concepts and procedures will be easier learned while trying in game. When i started learning how to program (php, javascript etc) i usually had two books for each language , one book was about functions and what they do (a reference manual), the other was about how to implement functions and other programming procedures with examples and when to use "what" to obtain a concrete result. So IMO the flight manual explain the "what" but not the "when, how and why". Cant speak yet about training missions until i own the game, and the developers notes sure they are very helpful but i am a passive english speaker so my english writing is very limited, my speaking even worst and i dont understand a shit if there aren´t subtitles, though my reading comprension is very high.
  25. While waiting for the spanish version release i am super excited about the mission editor (even more than the game itself!). I have read the manuals and i think the ME could add a changing waypoints/behaviours of AI units if some conditions are meet. For example you could assign a waypoint route to an armored group to patrol a determinated area, then if unit(s) are damaged activate an escape waypoint route, or if not player(unit) for X time within armored group trigger zone; active another route (perhaps to attack an area or forward advancement), This type of changing behaviours and waypoints while in battle could make every AI unit very flexible and alive; you could send groups to defend other groups if they are under attack, you could merge forces depending on battle situation, you could retreat or advance depending on enemy movements and so on. Battle could be very dinamyc itself and AI units could have multiple behaviours; defensive, agresive, tactical movement , all depending on how the things are developing. I know some of those behaviours can be reproduced with the actual ME, but i think it will require a lot of work and using several tricks, timing and loads of time to coordinate.
