  1. I've done a small mission just for fun and the idea is to depass as many bad guys as possible. it worked fine for some time, now what is happening is that once my aircraft is damaged the ground units stop engaging me. The idea here is to go as far as possible even if I only have one engine or other kind of damage. Yes I'm in a A-10 The ground units are from Cobra to Strela, Zu's, shilkas, manpads in between and are all set to Red alert and weapon free. Thanks

    FAQ

Well explained. In fact I changed my DCS main folder to other HD by drag and drop (was the way I saw after some ... not much ... research) Strange is that before I update DCS it was working fine. I will follow your suggestion. Thanks a lot.

    FAQ

Sorry if I'm repeating a question, but since last DCS update the \ menu show up every 5 seconds. I did some research but no joy. I erased Export.LUA both from saved games and main folder. Did a clean and repair in DCS If disable plugin support in Voice Attack setting, it stops bringing the menu as described above. And I cant find the ""Remedy Table"" Can someone help with this issue? Thanks
  4. Thanks. In fact that's the answer I got from a RL A-10 pilot, I post it below, he was a real gentleman: The A-10 can carry six AGM-65, but in practice will usually max out at four. The inboard station of the LAU-88 is close to the A-10 main gear nacelle. The exhaust from the inboard Maverick will scorch the main gear nacelle, the tire and the enpenage. The additional drag and weight of an additional two AGM-65 also adversely effects the A-10 performance. The most common loadout is a single Maverick loaded on a LAU-117A on stations 3 and 9. Drag seem also to be a major concern.
  5. I always assumed that the A-10 can only bring up to 4 Mavericks. Then I saw this post on the USAF website. https://www.af.mil/About-Us/Fact-Sheets/Display/Article/104577/agm-65-maverick/ Does anyone know if the A-10 can actually bring 6 in RL, am I understanding correctly?
  6. Thanks for the answer. Where in LUA must I put the script? (line nr or in wich section) I did a few trials, but no joy.
  7. Hi to all. I’m doing my 1st steps on scripting. I already used MIST and CTLD and respawn units. Now I’m trying to so a F10 Radio menu with Submenus. The idea is to open and close units in a target range but is more than 10 target ranges, so, I must separate in groups: F.1 - TR 1 / 2 / 3 F.2 - TR 4 / 5 / 6 F.3 - TR 7 / 8 / 9 F.4 - TR 10/ 11 / 12 What I would like to see if F.1 - TR 1 / 2 / 3 is selected: F.1 - TR 1 F.2 - TR 2 F.2 - TR 3 Then, after (ex) F.1 - TR 1 is selected menu disappear from screen and activate the units on that Target Range Then, if F10 menu is selected again I would like to have: F.1 - TR 1 / 2 / 3 F.2 - TR 4 / 5 / 6 F.3 - TR 7 / 8 / 9 F.4 - TR 10/ 11 / 12 F5. Close TR 1 And if F.5 is selected it “”kills”” all those units in TR 1 and if is selected again the respawn script do the job. I found the addsubmenu script that may do what I need, but have no idea where to put it in ME or if it goes to the actual LUA file from mission (or both) Thanks.
  8. Same here. This time I was sure I wasn't in negative G in a 35/45° dive, roll, and only 1 engine shut down. I agree with @Yurgon hi speed and throttle combination has some effect in this situation and also like @Emmysays, much more frequent now since last update.
  9. I saw the F117 "dance" from the cockpit ... is so cool I will let them stay for entretaining purposes Well, I always do cold start .... I like the sound from the APU .... I wonder if ..... Any way, thanks a lot for all your interest and help. Like I say above. Have learned something new with this situation, I always roll inverted now and understand a bit more about A10 procedures in flight. Cheers
  10. Sorry late response. Here it is a link for the file in one drive (it is bigger than 5MB). If possible i would like to have the feedback. Thanks https://1drv.ms/u/s!AqMUXpPB-zX6go0y84KvBw98PBrrBQ?e=j6rg7o
  11. That is good learning. Thanks a lot. I fly exclusively A10 for 3 years and never had the "pain" of flying russian aircrafts. That's why I stay on only 1, always learning something. Cheers.
  12. Thanks. I can send you the Tackview file if it help's. Honestly, I'm temped to believe it was something wrong I did. When I realise I was almost depassing the target I pulled hard the stick and had that feeling ... "I shouln't be doing this" ... Just had a look again in Tackview, and realise that in the beginning of the dive I was in negative G's for a few seconds (around 5).
  13. Gentleman, thanks a lot for your thoughts. I see here some good experienced pilots. I go for the negative G's probability. Yesterday I tried to replicate the situation over, and over, and no joy, my A10 was still strong as a Hog and no engine shut down. As I say above, I could restart them, but as consequence of the dive i was low and surrounded by mountains, so I had to eject. I thing I got in Tackview the exact moment the engines shut down, and in telemetry it says -0 G ... in movement is compreensible I did some wing shake (was my 1st reaction). Also noted the angle wasn't that sharp after all. I confess i'm not a expert interpreting telemetry, so, if someone see something that expain the issue, please step forward. Thank you
  14. During a dive attack at a very sharp angle (50/60), the aircraft shut down completely. I still managed to get an engine running, but in the middle of the Caucasus mountains it was impossible to recover. Does anyone know what can it be? I recognize that what I did is not supposed to happen in RL, but as I had altitude and a good position for a target, I decided to go ahead. My initial altitude was 20000 feet and the target was around 5000 feet. Could it be due to being at high altitude, the rarefied air causing the engines to collapse?
  15. A-10C pilots recruit 09-18-2020, 03:57 PM A10-C pilots Wildcats Vfs is recruiting A-10C pilots for the 25th FS Draggins Squad. We are a European based squad. Flights usually are at 1900Z. All skills welcome. Although Wilcats is a group with some time in the DCS community, the 25th was formed recently. For this reason, we need skill pilots as much as we have the capacity to train new pilots who are interested in the A-10C. Our trainings and missions try to integrate all the airframes we support within the same mission objectives according with the role they are designed to play. In A-10C case we try to develop CAS missions integrated with SEAD, CAP and troops on ground. For those interested in a Mil-Sim environment with casual elements, look no further. All we ask is dedication to the airframe and like for dig in the mud. See you on Discord. https://discord.gg/8g4xpm6

  17. Thank you Gent's I think I have another study case in hands. If is for realism, is great!!! :)
  18. Thank you Frederf. True is that in early versions I didn't had that issue, now all my training missions are different. I even went to A10 BTQ missions and confirm that. There is a "window" for level turns and i was getting the annoying "Terminate, Terminate ... you are above .... " And if I set QNH to "trick" altimeter it worked. As I say, before I had't any issue, only a Q- on BTQ :)
  19. Hi all. I notice that the altitude (in meters translated into feet) has a deviation of about 200 feet down. That is, if I make a trigger on the ME for a certain altitude, for example at 10000ft at 9800ft it triggers. If I make a correction in the QNH to 30.13 (and in the mission I use 29.92 default) I get the correct altitude on the altimeter (I guess is fake, but does the job) Could I be misunderstanding or is it a bug? I tested only on the A-10C.
  20. Thank you for the tip Shadow. I just asigned the "q" instead of "A" and work like a charm. Cheers
  21. Sorry if I.m asking too much... But would it be possible to have a SHACK! Direct hit" message if we hit target in a 3 or 4 meter distance from center? Or even better, if it activates also a trigger (for example) or a sound file to activate a voice message in ME ? I try to do it with a small triggerzone inside the Target circle, and use the Bomb in zone condition, but it has 2 problems: 1- The bomb has to "travel for 1 second inside the trigger 2- It has also the condition for the type of bomb. What i'm doing is a OCU training mission for my squad Raf Air UK (97Th) where I use Ciribob GREAT script and 467th GREAT target range mod. I have several messages and briefings to know what is required from new pilots. So the SHACK sound trom the target range crew, would be a cherry on top of the cake :D Cheers
  22. Yep... Cheers. You are the best.
