  1. Would like to see the finished tutorial Headspace. Charts are not adjusted. As far as we tested as long as you choose an airport in DCS with TACAN and ILS, charts will work OK. For IFR, specially for final you have to correct the heading by 4 to 6 degrees to make it perfect. I suposse the difference in magnetic bearing is because the static magnetic deviation in DCS world and the one in the charts dated on 2006, I will ask one of our RL pilots. Actually I dont know if bearings and radials in aeronautical charts are real or magnetic. Example: Batumi bearing for RW 13: Charts 126 degrees, DCS world 120 degrees. AFAIK Tacan beacons in DCS are on the side of the runways, and work OK. Turning bank angle for A-10C on basic should be approximately 15 to 20 degrees. We have a few custom made charts made for instrucción (by Alfredo):
  2. Compiled by Alfredo -117-, real life pilot, for our squadron, BOE -117-. This charts definitely deserves to be shared . In english and with QNH & QFE altitudes. Note: the original attached charts were deleted to prevet copyright issues. There is a new link with free ones. Contains the charts for the following airports: Sochi Batumi Tbilisi Nalchik Mineralye Vody Krasnodar Anapa Gelendzhik Notice that not all airports in DCS have ILS/TACAN stations as in real life. 3. Oh, now I get it. I just made a quick reading. Yes, if someone is not seeing the runway lights on MP he just has to play with HDR options. Can't help you with light posts, sorry.
  4. Try this: on in game graphics options HDR ON and with normal or warm colors. Las week two mates from BOE-117 dind't see any airport lights on an IFR MP practice. We all checked our graphics options and pined it down to HDR. Problem solved.
  5. Great news Habu! Looking foward to fly v3.0 with our squadron.
  6. A few pics here from our squadron (BOE-117): The last one doing my homework with aeronautical & ground charts :smartass:. Next time I'll post some pics with our new custom skin :).
  7. I had a few PMs asking for the charts of the second picture. Here is the link, great Gorund and VAD charts: http://www.boe117.com/foro/index.php?/topic/548-cartas-de-aproximacion-visual/ (It's on the first post).
  10. Sharing my virtual flying setup:
  14. After a few months we flew last night this excellent mission again with the latest 1.2.2 DCW World. Pig flight x4 A10C + 4 A10C added with the editor at the same Base. We had one problem with the triggers. The mission was opened and saved with mission editor to help with compatibility. When we get to IP WP we where given coordinates to atack an insurgent camp. We found some tents and two bunkers at the coordinates but no enemy units (trigger fail?). We detroyed all tents and bunkers but recived no message of task completed an no other tasks where given when we flew back to IP point. Thanks Habu for this grate mission. Waiting with enthusiasm for Operation Bactria 3.0 here. One pilot RTB because an engine failure before reaching de Camp. I was the leader but maybe he was in the leaders A-10C and thus the trigger failure? If this is the case we will give operation bactria 2.0 another try.
  15. MP issues with 1.2.2 version on our squadron, tested the last weekend: 1) All clients CTD, server stays online: happens always after 10-30 minutes with missions edited or created with 1.2.2 version. With or without FC3 or CA slots. It happened many times to all the squadron in our 2 dedicated servers (different hardware, bandwidth and location) and in the 104th server. It did not happen with old 1.2.1 missions, but we had issues # 2 & 3. All clients have a CTD at the same time every 10 to 30'. We had Servman installed in the 2 servers, 1.2.2 overwrote some or all of its files. It was not reinstalled to prevent compatibily issues. May be is somehow related? Known issues: 2) Connection interrupted, server timed out issue. Still present. Kicks one client at a time. Seems to be related with the amount of moving ground units (about > than 5-10) and amount of clients (more frequent with more than 4-6 clients connected). Latest 1.2.1 was more stable than prior versions. Hard to tell the difference with 1.2.2 because of so many # 1 (client CTD) 3) Server not in the list: Frequently one or two of the clients can’t see one of the 2 servers in the list nor connect using IP. Sometimes the server appears after refreshing, sometimes they can be refreshing for 30’ without seeing the server. It happends to one or two clients, the rest can connect OK. We also had 2 or 3 CTD on server #1, which is rare. Logs: Server #1: (i5 2500k, 8 GB DDR3, SSD Vertex 3, Ati HD 6850, Windows 7 x64) server logs.rar Client #1: (specs in the signature) client 1 log.rar Most flights where done on server #2, let me know if you need the logs and I’ll ask for them. Hope this helps. We flew many hours this weekend but could't finish any mission.
  16. You’re right. I was optimistic, buy I did read somewhere about new landing, taxing physics. Well, if by arcade you mean a 1980s Atari plane game, FC3 is of course better. But you get my point, right? Just from the first seconds: a DCS module would slightly roll and bounce while each weapon/tank is loaded in each wing, you would see the effect of the weight in the shocks. You can see this differences and the F-15 is no even taxing. Not to mention the Eagle was started in a few seconds and touching two buttons (well, I cant see the last one :)). After there it will take me pages to describe what looks obvious to me. Nice flying. Yes, we use AI aircrafts sometimes. We don’t use external views and usually only see them close enough while taxing or air refueling. I'm certain I couldn't tell if the tanker had AFM while its flying in a straight line. Actually I prefer to have a human pilot flying it if he wants to, much better than AI. But it won’t be me in a FC3 plane. Nor it’ll will be an unknown pilot, just to prevent point and shoot gamers entering the server. I gues that open servers slots for FC3 will be up to each server seriousness/tolerability. I've bought 12 Keys for DCS products since the release of BS1. For personal use, gifts, server use and ED support. I'm a devote client and frequent user. I find DCS Ka-50, A-10C and P-51D to be excellent, unique, simulators. I bought this week two keys for FC3 and after testing it resulted to be the exact opposite kind of product I would like to support. My error. @GGTharos: I’m sorry if I’m critical of a product you seem to be fan off. Just stating an opinion here and looking for feedback other than my squadron fellows.
  17. May I get a refund for the FC3 keys I bought? I've bought 12 Keys for DCS products since the release of BS1 (2008 ). For personal use, gifts, server use and ED support. I bought this week two keys for FC3 and after testing it resulted to be the exact opposite kind of product I would like to support. Beta or not beta it just cant be fixed enogh. It's just feels as flying an Arma II plane inside DCS world, or worse. I'm a devote client and frequent user. I find DCS Ka-50, A-10C and P-51D to be excellent, unique, simulators. I will suport all DCS quality products. But I don't want this humble $80 I paid to stimulate the production of an arcade game like FC3. Of course, with refund or with out it, I won't be "flying" any FC3 plane, nor place slots for them in our server.
  18. Maybe because it's an arcade game?
  19. As posted before: I'm very sorry to say that it FC3 has terrible physics (IMO). It's in no way comparable to the flight physics you will feel with the A-10, Ka-50, P-51 or Su-25. The Su-25 has very simplified systems but AFM at least. I only tried the F-15 (beatifull cockpit by the way) but it's so arcade that I wont fly FC3, period. It's a beta but it's so bad that I don't think it can be improved to an acceptable level for final release (or later). It actually feels like flying an Arma II plane inside DCS World, or worse. There wont be open missions with FC3 planes in our squadron server.

Saludos, Tango.
  23. Thanks for the sugestions Paganus. Our saquad editor was doing something similar after many trial and error testing. They come very handy, fowarding them to him right now. Please note a very possible solution for connection problems: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=96565
  24. Thank you very much Megagoth! Hope this tip helps, fowarding to my squadron right now. We had this big problem for several months, shame on ED if the solution was so simple.
  25. Thanks you so much Bezcl for the Argentinian Skin. Definitely the first one I'll be using. With some imagination we can use de Mig-21 as the Dagger, Mirage III, Skyhawk or Super Etandar that Argentina used in the 1982 Malvinas-Falklands conflict. More over with the coming Harrier module.
