  1. I understand that, and i can live with it, but is in some sort, limiting your options, specially at dusk, when the sunlight is enough to not use NVG´s but in less than an hour you will need those. With the boxes checked you loose the option to determine when the filters are working.

I could be wonderful to be able to activate the filters with an option in the radio menu, or just get activated when you put your NVG´s on. Just something to think about.

    Thanks for you kind replies.

Someone said something before with the lights, first internally within our team about the Master Mode lights seemed different, then yesterday another user mentioned about the lights and his concerned was narrowly focused on the Flap and Gear indicators, being too dim. I opted to adjust those brighter for him.

I had added different lights for the NVG filters but they are extra lights that come on when the filters are installed while the original lights are hidden. Not changing the original lights strength, coding or textures. Hopefully this quick and dirty video can explain it better.

    What's with the Lights?

I think i´ve found the origin of the "Dim Lights" issue.

I´m using a mission template for training in my virtual squad for a long time, with different aircrafts and options. The F-15E lights intensity was normal until the last update, where i´ve found this dim issue, wondering why and driving me nuts. Then i´ve just deleted the F-15E flight and created another new airplane, and the issue gone away not thinking anymore about it.

But reading this post maked me thinking about the special options tab with NVG and Filters equiped on the F-15E, and.....

That´s the reason why you see the lights dimed.

Before the patch checking on additional aircraft porperties boxes " Equip AN/AVS-9 NVG and NVG Filter" didn´t change anything on the lights intensity in daylight. But now, since the last patch if you check those boxes, then all the warning, caution, master mode lights get dimed/filtered to the bare min, even if the mission is in broad daylight, when i suppose it should dim the lights only when you put your NVG´s on.

So that´s my discover and the reason why you see the lights issue.

I hope this helps to fix the bug, if there is any, or maybe this is intended and pilots should not check those boxes if they are going to fly at day. But in my oppinion the lights intensity should change when you put your NVG´s on or when you activate the filters on the cockpit, not only because the boxes are checked. Imagine a mission starting just with the sunset with enough light to VFR but to much for the NVG´s and after that with less light you put the NVG´s on. Only at that moment the cockpit lights intensity should change.

  3. There is another solution.

This issue is happening to me also sometimes and is related to the Track IR. Just hit ESC when you see the issue and enter Controls.

Then go to axis, Track IR column. Z axis, and change your zoom view to Trackir Forward/Backward. Hit ok, and go to the cockpit.

Then repeat the steps, this time changing again the z axis to zoom view.

    Go back to the cockpit.

    This should fix the issue.

  4. Nice to hear that, Maestro.

The map is a beauty itself, i love it, and the new dynamic lighting is very welcomed. This improvements sounds great.

Just is interesting how dynamic lighting in the Persian Gulf has a different impact in perfomance. Abu Dhabi and Dubai are very large cities and flying over is a joy at night with great perfomance. Syria i know is quite different, much more surface details, forests, trees, etc. But didn´t expect such a difference.

Will try the new update and make some comments around here.

    Thanks for you dedicated work

  5. Improvements all around the map are great, dont take me wrong. Is quite a lot the things here an there to take a look, and i love it. At day the perfomance is a blast for me. But at night, city lights are taking a big tool on my FPS. I know i have an old CPU, 2500K but the perfomance by day is great, so i think something is going on with the new night light

  6. HI Maestro.

I really appreciate the awesome updates around the map. But since today´s update i´m suffering poor FPS with the new night lighting on the map.

On the Persian Gulf map, night lighting does not have any impact on FPS but in Syria right now flying over cities at night makes a great impact on my FPS. From solid 60´s at day to 40´s at night, same place. I dont know others experience but for me but this is what i m seeing right now.

    Hi Art-j

I have made a new  b-17glods.json  file  to achieve any combination of reflection  from  Brushed to Mirror and anything inbetween.

This will also Automatically  be applied to and  Enhance  the Default B-17 Skin as well as  Pre-made  Custom Skins with NO Texture Editing required.

This will work with My "Flak Eater" skin from 2017.

    Regards

    Keith

    Thanks Warlord64

I´ve tried your .json file and works wonders but is for a mirror reflection version.

Do you have a version with a brushed, less reflective one?

  8. I have a 2500K 4/4 cores/threads

No difference. 4 Cores = CTD. 1 Core=CTD, the moment i press TDC Down

It´s a pitty because the F-15 is amazing to fly and fight with, but not able to  use the A/G radar High resolution mapping is killing me.
