  1. I got also got a couple of requests to change password. Looks like someone got a list of usernames and is hitting the password reset, possibly looking for compromised email accounts.
  2. Most of the Shark's A2A capabilities envolve turning around and running away.:music_whistling: There is, however, a A2A switch that sets the Vikhr warheard to detonate early. But that is only in the unlikely event you happen to get the drop on another helo or a low, slow flying aircraft.
  3. A.K.A. a full load.:music_whistling: Dust protection is for when you're kicking up dust (landing/flying low). Anti-Ice is for when you're flying high or in winter environment. If you're not doing neither, leave it on neutral so the engines can work exclusively to keep you in the air. And like GGTharos said, barometric altitude is also a factor, so you should check it. The higher you are the less lift you get from the blades.
  4. You're not going blind. :) If you're referring to the switch's neutral position, if you leave it there the alt hold won't work.
  5. I observe that the dust protection system is engaged. You do realize that it takes something like 100hp from the engines? If you add a full load, the shark may not be able to hover.
  6. It's on the paragraph following the one on the Track/Heading switch. :)
  7. You should push ctrl+enter to see the command inputs. If the helo was turning wildly or something like that, it would probably be a stability problem. But pitching down? There may be something else going on...
  8. Like Frederf said, it is set automatically upon mission start, depending on loadout. You should only mess with it if you come back to base to rearm and change the rocket type or gun pods. If you don't, the computer will miscalculate the impact point (ie. the piper will be in the wrong place)
  9. Perhaps #55 had a weird concept on how close a close formation should be. Either that or he was a saboteur.
  10. Awesome! Was that for an airshow or something?
  11. It kinda looks like the "Laser Ranger-Finder Active" cue, though the second char appears different from the one on the manual (page 4-8 ).
  12. I don't have a CH Hotas, just the Cyborg Evo Force. 350$ for a custom HOTAS is reasonable, but the customs duties are brutal. My brother payed something like 60$ for an 100$ X-Arcade stick, I can't even contemplate how much they would charge for the HOTAS, as it is calculated over the price of the product. Plus S&H, so it's not an option, unfortunately.:no_sad: I'm leaning towards the x52 pro, maybe someone will do something similar for it over here.
  13. From what I understood from aledmb's link, rudder input should only occur if there is undesired yawing. Small corrections to keep the ball centered and so on.
  14. I always use the rudder to turn. Probably also a hangover from flying sim planes. Bearing in mind what Vortex said, that would explain why my turns always degenerate into a bloody mess.
  15. Similar thing happened to me the other day. Was playing the Gauntlet mission, sent one of the wingmen to do my bidding, got run over by said wingman. Anyway, this has been discussed before, keep'em away from you and you'll be fine. In Over-G Fighters is a lot worse, I'm actually more afraid of my wingman than the enemy planes, who are actually trying to kill me...:lookaround:
