  1. it was a simple question to ED. Dont need a long debate or you should do this or that. It allows a mission designer to modify the game and add cheats or whatnot and really should be looked into. If they choose not to, ok.. it was just a simple question if they are going to fix it or not
  2. severs should also go thru IC and modded planes should trigger IC is what I was asking if it was going to be fixed or not. I think you two are over thinking it. If a server has say the mod for the UH or c130 mod and they modify the mission so it is not required but is still in the mission, that should throw IC. It doesn't now because they was they have it implemented by putting the UH in saved games and not checking the server. So you end up with a mission that passed IC has modded planes. IC should be expanded to be a full anti-cheat and it should cover this.
  3. missions designers are now going into the missions and making changes to make the modded planes not required. My initial question was that since these servers are using modded planes is there going to be a fix so that IC picks this up and starts flagging them. IC main function is to prevent cheating and such. By allowing modded planes with unrealistic flight models into a server, it really should pick that up so we can filter out missions that are modded.
  4. I am talking about servers with IC on but have the A4, C130, ect.. in them. If a server has mods in the missions such as non official aircraft, I would think it should fail the IC as it is modded.
  5. again not what I was talking about. I do not see a platoon of troops coming out the back or parachuting from it, ect...
  6. I understand what integrity check does and does not do. I was asking if it was going to be fixed so when someone joins a server with it on they do not see a fighter dumping out paratroopers out the back or doing grass field landings. I am not against mods or anything but when joining a server with integrity check on, it should not allow stuff like that and should not be modded.
  7. Just curios is this something that will be fixed or not. There are some servers running some of the mod planes that show green on the integrity check. Some people do not want to fly with modded planes and we used to be able to use that to stay clear.
  8. Really I think the problem is people need to remember they bought a game, not a share of the company. You always have some people on here thinking they know best, how it needs to be done, ect.. Usually they do not have any knowledge of IT/project management. Don't get me wrong, ED has caused a lot of issues trying to placate the community. Giving to many updates to early before it is finalized ect.. in the past. ED needs to be more like Michael Angelo and the Pope. When will you make it end? When I'm finished btw nice post DigitalEngine nice laugh
  9. Someone really needs to go thru the tracker and take out the old bugs that are fixed, human error ones, the ED bugs that are not part of the harrier and feature requests. Just saying... There are bugs but it really should be a fair accounting not a flame list. Saying it is a community tracker, there should be a level of accuracy.
  10. Most companies move away from subscription models except when they have either a niche customer base (which if DCS went this way figure 50% of the people leave and then they would have their niche base) or they have a way to force you to use their product. So go ahead and keep pushing for a subscription model and kill the game. They make more money selling modules than they would on a subscription base. Not to mention say bye bye to all the 3rd party developers.
