Hi, On the ARA Vienticinco de Mayo, radio comms do not work. This was tested on 2 computers with the A-4 and F-18. I'd be great if this were fixed (or explained if I am doing something wrong) because I'd like to recreate the aborted air raids from this aircraft carrier on May 2nd, 1982. Thank you for your help. PS: This also prevents VOIP from working on SRS.

Hi, I've been piloting the A-4 for a short while now, and I've encountered a problem where the engine occasionally cuts off mid-flight. Specifically, the throttle seems to retract back to its initial setting on its own. Have you come across this problem? What solution did you find? It seems to be an issue with conflicting control binds.

Integrated Air Defense Script
Leviathan667 replied to Grimes's topic in User Created Missions General
Thans @Grimes for the script. I'am trying to set it up in a mission. I'd like to verify my understanding: the default level is 3 for "3. Basic randomization + enemy position based randomization". Am I right? -
We need Sharm el-Sheikh airport because of its historical significance (the Israeli AB of Ophir)

Thank you for this script. Can you pls share the parameters you used to enable the AI to loft bombs to the target?

you can find the list here (at 22'45")

bump It is especially important to know if it is a block 48 or prior or a block 49 and beyond since the latter has got Leading Edge slats.

With the increasing number of cold war AI assets, and may campaigns and mission to be made for this era, toss or loft bombing should become a thing for the AI. E.g., I am reading lots of material on SEAD/DEAD in the Middle East and Vietnam in the 1960s and 70s and I can't help but notice toss bombing was widely used. Actually, it has been used up until operation Desert Storm, in 1991. Thank you for your consideration null

In a book titled Patrolling the Cold War Skies, author Philip Keeble and ex-RAF pilot wrote: Unfortunately, the author does not elaborate anymore than that. I am looking for more information on this abbreviation. E.g. how would it look like when used to describe a bombing fit? A recce fit? Etc. Thanks

Hi, I noticed over the course of the last few weeks in several missions the pod would only record red air emitters and completely ignore land based red emitters. So I made a custom mission to test the U22/A ability to record land based red signals. It did not record any even though I’ve been painted several times by SAM systems and one of them fired at my plane. Find attached the info file, trk file, tacview file and miz file. Hi NineLine, RX 6900 XT + 12700 KF + 64 GB DDR5 + Oculus Quest 2 (at 1.4X rendering resolution - 5152 x 2608) Settings see below Also, I attached the image of the task manager where I compare 4 configurations: ST in 2D, ST in VR, MT in 2D and MT in VR. As I said previously, MT makes a difference and this is good. But it does seems my CPU is still the bottleneck when it comes to fps. Granted, MT uses more of it than ST but it seems to stop short at 28 % (it does not fully use my CPU). DxDiag.txt

I am using a 12700 KF and am CPU bottlenecked too it seems (if I correctly interpret the CPU bound red text with in the screenshot below). Though, going MT will use more of the CPU (from 11 to 17 % in 2D and from 18 to 28 % in VR).

I can confirm too. Turning motion blur off fixes the problem. Thanks. -
MT VR Display issue
Leviathan667 replied to Leviathan667's topic in Multi-Threading Bug Reports (Temp)
Troubleshooting steps: Repair DCS (partial) Delete fxo and shaders Reset GPU driver to factory settings Update GPU driver (6900 XT) Update Windows 11 Use VR headset with cable, with air link Reset VR headset to factory settings Stopped using Oculus tray Several restarts Just now: Repair DCS (full) - see log + trk - same issue All non official mods are disabled dcs2.log DCS MT VR2.trk -
Hi, DCS MT works well in 2D. I see a significant performance improvement. But in VR, I get some kind of screen overlap (at least this is how I interpret it - see images below) and the performance did not get better (FPS remains the same). Troubleshooting steps: Repair DCS Delete fxo and shaders Reset GPU driver to factory settings Update GPU driver (6900 XT) Update Windows 11 Use VR headset with cable, with air link Reset VR headset to factory settings Stopped using Oculus tray Several restarts dcs.log DCS MT VR1.trk DxDiag.txt

thanks for the links esp. to the swedish AF manuals. In the following manual Fpl AJ 37 speciell förarinstruktion (SFI) del 2 (M7780-400172), on p. 152 (after a detailed description on the use of the Lysbomber) under ANFALL BOMBER, it says Utges senare which means to be issued later. In the other manuals, I can't find anything regarding the use of SB/71s (Save System 37 but it is not as detailed as the AF manuals). Does anyone have a declassified AF manual with details regarding the use of SB/71s?

I've just updated mission 1. You may downloaded it from here and fly it as a standalone mission or replace the original mission 1 file in the campaign folder (to do the latter, you'll have to change the file name to match that of mission 1 in the campaign folder). Note: radio communications are handled differently now. You must tune to the proper radio channels to receive radiocomms. E.g. keep the mission with the radio on ch. A until you hear a message asking you to switch to 264 AM (ch. 110). Godspeed!
