Hi, I am running DCS on a 22" monitor (Helios + CaptZeen) + videoprojection. My 22" was NOT originaly a "touchscreen" one but I bought an IR "touchscreen" overlay for about 40€ (+FDP) it works like a charm That might be a cheap solution for you. PS :Can someone tell me how to insert an image to show you how it look like ?

Hi everyone, I am interested to run DCS on a computer where I don't want to fly but just build missions and test lua script. Is the DCS dedicated server sufficient (i.e acces to ME and run mission in F10 view) or should I install the full DCS version. Thanks

Hi everyone, I am using a video projection for the main viewport located above a 22" monitor runing Helios+CaptZeen profile. When NVG is activated, it's default position is on the upper part of the projected picture which is not confortable in this configuration (tiring because you have to lift your head). I would like to make the NGV FOV tangent to the bottom border screen rather than the upper one as it is by default... Is there any way to do that, with a DCS option (I didn't find one) or modifying a few lua line in a file... Thanks

I everyone, I use to fly OB MP session with a friend as the hoster (as he has a better computer than mine). I fly with a vieoprojector for the main FOV and deported instrumentation on a dedicated 22" screen runing Helios and CaptZeen F18 profile. We never faced problem till last OB update where DCS complained that "Client tainted" when I entered the 3D game . If I "remove" (DCS reparation) Helios everything is fine. On the other hand, with Hélios/CaptZeen installed and runing it doesn't work anymore except if I am the session hoster... What's going wrong with Helios since the last OB update...? Does someone else face this problem ? Thanks

In particular what should be the "priority" among them... For exemple if I want a KC135 to enter a hypppodrome pattern while available for refueling which one should be the first one : pattern or refueling task ? Thanks

Hi everyone, So I want an IA flight being already visible when I enter cockpit and that it starts let's say 5 minutes after starting the mission. I didn't practice the DCS mission editor recently and although I was able to do that some months ago no way to do it now As far as I can remember and see in the forum I should use the UNCONTROLED option but... Hello, I have just updated my computer from W7 to W10 (no hardware changes) to enjoy the latest DCS update. Updated from 2.6 to 2.7 without problem but when I launch DCS it tells me that I must enter a key for my products (F18, F16, M2000, PG and Syria map). When I go to my account, the "details section" shows a binding key for the M2000 but nothing for the other products I purchassed except command number and so on but no key... Please help. Thanks

Hi everyone, I am wondering if this is a feature that doesn't exist in RL or that I have just not yet discovered... The question is the following : when you release an ordonance on one wing only, the plane center of gravity moves on the opposite and it tends to roll, something that you can correct by manually triming the plane. I am just surprised that an automatic triming function would not exist in such a sophisticated plane... It sounds raisonable to me that the rolling rate could be analysed by the computer and trimed acordingly after pilot action. Did I miss something ? Thanks

May be I was not clear enough... So some clarification about my question. It is clear to me that any pilot must be very efficient in AA engagement as they can be engage any time and they must defend their life... On the other hand I do not see any reason why a pilot generally flying AA mission would be tasked an AG mission unless extrem and urgent necessity Don't kwon if I am clear enough.

Hi everyone, When we go to the tanker for refueling, is there a preferential basket by default ? Although I have generaly no problem to refuel on the left one (which I am more confortable with), I tried also the right one but most of the time my refueling probe goes through the basket. Is it just a question of training the other side or one must choose on basket by default ? Thanks

Hy everyone, Is it just me or there is a problem using FLIR with GMT in the latest patched open beta. I used to take advantage of both GMT and FLIR to attack convoy. Previously when I designated a GMT target, the FLIR was automatically pointing at it (and alaos tracking the GMT position if I remember well). I tried that again today and the FLIR is pointing in offset with respect to the GMT. For exemple GMT was tracking a tank progressing on a road close to the coastline and the FLIR pointed somewhere in the water... Same is true with Sea mode. I designated my carrier in sea mode and the FLIR was pointing significatively in offset... I also got the impression that PTRK is alos more difficult to acquire a moving target.. Is it just me ? Did something change and I am doing it wrong ? Thanks

My question was not to know if it is possible but rather if it is routinely done that a pilot fly a escort or sweep mission one day and a precision strike the other day. I got the impression that altough pilots are trained at everything squadrons (and thus plitots) are more specialised in one task or another. But it also might depends on country doctrine. Thanks

Hi everyone, This is not a F18 dedicated question but a rather a multi-roles fighters (F18, F16,..) and pilots question. I post it here because there is no general discussion room but moderator might want to move it somewhere else if I am wrong... So, as we can experiment thanks to DCS F18 and F16 jets, they have rather complexe and dedicated AA and AG munitions and avionics... I think it is critical for real life pilots to be very efficient during their mission and I am wondering if pilots flying muti-roles jets are also multi-roles pilots or if they fly exclusively dedicated AA or AG missions ? Thanks

Hi everyone, As I had no luck posting this in the "mod" room I make a copy here. Let's hope I get an answer. Thanks. So here it is: I am using CaptZeen latest F18 profile (thanks to him) with Helios V1.6 (thanks to the developper) and everything work like a charm except for the DDI AMPCD and RWR fonts. On the RWR the symbols are very thick and fuzzy while on the other ones lines and letters are very thin and difficult to see/read. I have checked the forum for this problem and found different threads suggesting that one must change some variables in various Lua files but some informations are in contradiction and not updated... Could someone tell me what should I change and which values should I set. Thanks in advance, Happy new year and happy flying
