  1. Is this an upgrqade to FC3 Mig29A, or a new module that has to be paid for?
  2. Have the same issue with RTX 3060Ti. Happens in all theaters I have. Georgia, Syria, PG, South Atlantic, Normadie (1.X). Safe to assume its DCS wide. Just installed latest 547.19 Nvidia Game Ready drivers.
  3. Well I am not sure it even matters in practice. Every time I am hit with MANPADS, 23mm, 40mm, or higher, the pilot is killed or blacks out , or tail separates. The damage model, I suspect , is a lot weaker then real one. Survivability is low. At close range , .50BMG or Russian/Chinese equivalent shoots down where tail separates or tail rotor is destroyed.
  4. Countermeasures release mapable commands have disappeared. No appreciable way to release flares or chaff.
  5. How can Army approve combat helicopter for operational service if aircraft cannot autorotate?
  6. I wanted to practice worst case autorotations. Didn't quite work. First I chopped power. Open the cover then depressed button for 1 second. Nothing happened. Aircraft kept flying, and there was no power loss. What does power chop suppoused to do? Then I tried loss of power. Throttle to idle then throttle OFF. Total loss of power, total loss of generator. Lost all control! No cyclic, no pedals, no collective. No control at all,so no autorot possible. I guess loosing powerplants in Apache is death. Wouldn't the spinning rotor keep emergency generator and hydralics running to allow autorot?
  7. RnFAA operated F-4K. I guess those were British versions of F-4J but with R&R Spey plants. As A-4E, carrier variants of F-4 used bridal launch sytem and not strut extentions. DCS: Carrier does not suppourt bridal, AFAIK. Maybe they will add it to older Forestall class CVs in DCS. I beleive A-7 was the first to use strut extention to hookup to catapult.
  8. ZOOM export of MFD in AH-64D how to ? Just like in AV-8B?
  9. Seems that, thus far, DLSS: OFF DLAA:ON gives best FPS, with all other settings not being changed.
  10. Well I turned DLSS ON and DLAA , I guess is automatic. I keep rez on 2560X1440 as it is my panel's native rez. Can't say if FPS has improved or not. I am running mt version of DCS. The CPU has 4 cores(8 threads) and GPU is RTX 3060Ti. Most of the time my FPS is near 100. Lower in AH-64D. Fastest FPS wise fixed wing mod is Harrier. Fastest rotary is KA-50III, at 120+ FPS. Hind and and UH-1H have close similar performance slightly slower then KA-50, around 90-100 FPS. Worst rotaries are AH-64D and Gazelle 50-80 FPS. Mig-21bis is about 80 -100 depending on theater and scene. Fastest non DCS level module are SU-25T and F-15C. I get 150 average. With DLSS and DLAA the HUD in FC level modules (SU-25T, F-15C, Mig, SU) blur smears a lot. I do NOT use motion blur, so the blur smear has to be related to DLSS/DLAA. However if I do screen cap the blur smear is not captured. HUD appears crisp in cap JPG, but blurry and smeared in flight. But I spend so little time in FC , that it matters little to me. I do like to practice landing in MIg-29 as it has realistic landing gear performance that is far less forgiving then multiple DCS level mods. Worst performing map is South Atlantic. Its not only slowest in FPS, but most unstable. Syria (especcially Cypress) has gotten a lot better in 2.9 and generally has been slightly improving in later 2.8 updates. PG, Georgia, and Mariannas have remained the same, which is good. South Atlantic stability has gotten worse, for me, in 2.9. So in short, for those of who have RTX boards. Turn DLSS and DLAA ON and leave it ON. Yes/No?
  11. TAA and DLAA are not mentioned in FAQ. Hence my post.
  12. So now I have to go through every module and reload Input options manually.
  13. Lost of my controls presets. After system restart. Which file do I load to regain all the presets
  14. What are TAA and DLAA? I Keep DLSS OFF, as I natively run 2560X1440 I have RTX 3060Ti FE.
  15. yes So U believe the pedals are failing. The potentiometers are faulty or worn out?
  16. run joy.cpl from command prompt. Select T-Rudder properties Move pedals rudder axis. ?Is the input stable and accurate? In DCS/Options/AH-64D Pilot/Axis/Rudder When going from max deflection L to max R and vice versa are the inout stable or does it vibrate as it moves? Mine vibrates a lot. The software is not filtering and smoothing input. What this causes is tail that wiggles. creating unstable directional control.
  17. Really excessive noise in pedals with TM Pedals Latest 2.9 bera Track attached. Turn on controls indcator overlay or watch the legs of pilot. Tiny smooth pedals cause excessive diversions in amount and direction of pedal motion. Maybe hardware malfunction, maybe software filtering. AH-64D_2_9_pedals_excessive noise.trk
  18. How to get AI Gunner to fire salvo of AGM-114L at a ship? AI only fires one a t a time. With L being Fire&Forget, cycling back to target still offers low rate of fire. Without cycling, AI waits for current missile to hit or miss before fring another one. To disable or sink a Molnya corvette, one needs to place minimum of 4 to 8 Helfires into it.
  19. Well AGM-114 became an all pourpuse weapon. Its replacement is about size of Helfire , but is intended to replace Helfire, Maverick, TOW and some others for helicopter, fixed wing, drone ground, and naval surface fired missile.
  20. Not privy to classified info. But I bet in RL. FCR equipped 64D ir E Apache will recognize, prioritize, and distribute up to 4 targets to non-FCR equipped Apaches or Hellfire carrying drones. AH-64 and Hellfire were designed to balance out NATO low tank anti-tank armor , to high count Soviet-Warsaw Pact tank armies in Europe. As Soviet armor outnumbered NATO armor 10 to 1
  21. Macross MIssile Massacre with Hellfires is an awesome effect. In fact it was attempted in real life in MidEast project of mounting multiple ground launched Hellfire boxes on long bed semi-tractor flatbed trailer. Marines and Swedish Defense are working on a swarm Hellfire launcher for small ships and shore installations. I fel in love with Robotech becouse if Macross Missile Massacre.
  22. For Petro work with AT 6/9 After start up; Turn on weapons in upfront panel and have AI Petro turn on his systems. Set range to AUTO Set Weapon to OFF/MISSILE There are two small dark switches above weapons for syncing. Set both in up position Enable FIRE AT WILL for Petro. Point toward target area. Have Petro search for targets Set AI Petro to select ATTACKA MISSILE as weapon Select a target from Petro list and tell AI Petro to engage. After Petro reports weapon ready and target in range align Petro cross hair inside pilot crosshair and after missile ready tone sounds for one second without break Petro reports FIRING fires the missile. Keep the target inside HUD until hit or miss. The lower the AGL at time of release the lower the probability of hit. Petro will report missile hit or miss. When using rockets , or guns, have Petro search for targets, but fire weapons yourself. All rockets , guns, and pods in Hind are LOS forward firing weapons , so those are your responsibility. IMHO. Petro is used to search for targets and fire AT-6/9 missiles. I do enable AI countermeasures , but still fire flares/chaff manually when either Petro or Nadia reports a threat. I admit , missile evasion is poor. The Hind is huge and lumbering. Excessive roll or pitch , results in loss of control. Even empty Hind is heavy for available power and in my hands prone to VRS or settling with power. Pilot Visibility is poor , relative to Apache or Gazelle, so vertical landing in confined areas is difficult for me. Deck landings are somewhat normal as long as ship has 20 knot speed, and there is sufficient space. Hind appears to have similar clearance requirements as SeaStallion and Osprey. So land only on large moving ships. Hovering is a challenge due to GW and power limitations. Hind acts more like a compound helicopter-fixed wing VSTOL then pure helicopter. When empty with low fuel it will hover with high power settings. When loaded with weapons and fuel above 35% , bringing it to a stable hover is a danger frought challenge. Have gear down if hovering IGE. Most takeoffs and landings I do are rolling with about 30 kph forward speed. I land with elongated spiral landing pattern to shed speed and begin at least 1.5 km from landing spot. To me Hind is more of a rotary wing compound Very Short Takeoff and Landing aircraft , rather then a true helicopter. Watching various historical docs and recent event videos it appears that's how Hind crews fly it. Russians and their clients love it, but I am aghast that they would deploy a combat battlefield helicopter of that size. It's huge.It needs stand off range missiles. Combat hull losses Hinds took in Afghanistan, Chechnya, Georgia , MidEast, and Ukraine are huge. Being a Hind combat crew is a high risk job. MANPADS and IR SHORAD chew it up. In DCS, I think it needs more power. Even empty with no fuel , it's GW is near 90%.
  23. Solved. FOund the magic sauce recipe. Petro hits tatgey with AT-6/9 about 70% of the time, and thays about good enough and expected from Russian-Soviet systems. The engagement range is kind of short. Similar to US PKWS laser guided rockets, maybe a bit shorter. How does one survive even short range NATO SAMs?
