  1. I have a set of the ehr-3 with the 2.5mm pitch. That's the ones on Amazon. The ones in the Warthog are even smaller. The C-C measurement of the pins is only about 1mm and the pins are only 0.3mm in diameter.
  2. Hey @Hempstead As a follow up to this, I need to get some of the 3 pin connectors/pins that are used in the Warthog throttle. When I changed the bricked board, one of the connectors split. I thought that these https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B01E5MZXIM/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 were the correct ones, but they are way too big. Can you point me to the correct ones?
  3. What do the internals of the Otto switch look like? Are they simply 4 tactile switches or something more sophisticated? Sent from my LG-H873 using Tapatalk
  4. Thanks for sacrificing your lungs for our entertainment. The replacement pots are excellent. I can't wait to see new hat switches.
  5. Ok, I know this isn't the Ascon support forum. But I'm trying to look at some m3d files and Solidworks won't display that format. I've downloaded Kompas 3d LT and the viewer, but I can't find the setting to switch the interface to english. Help would be appreciated.
  6. Hey Gus I'm very interested in this project. Do you have any updates on your progress?
  7. Holy F@ck! 200 ft before the lights are visible? That is nuts! Is the computer flying that approach? It seems like the autopilot isn't disengaged until they hit the runway.
  8. Wow. I like it. What are you using to simulate the Force Trim system? I'd be interested in knowing about the mechanism.
  9. Great idea, but what sort of system would you need to coordinate all that action? The military version of ArmA runs on servers, and a single simulator for the CF-18 requires several banks of computers. Put it all together and I'm not sure the internet could even handle that much traffic.
  10. How is it they supported the Cougar for years, but gave up on the Warthog?
  11. OK, I know I'm gonna get drilled for this, but here it is. I watched the video from the OP, and I have to ask: how is this different from the original FM? I understand that a whole bunch of data has been entered into the sim to recreate the Falcon. But, what do I see in the video that demonstrates it? I don't really know what I should be looking for, I guess. I don't have any real world flight experience, so maybe that's the problem. I had the same problem with the old Falcon 4 mods. The improved systems I could get my head around, but the "improved flight model" was never adequately demonstrated to me. I'm interested, but clueless.
  12. I converted my TM elite pedals to a hall sensor to use with my cougar and it was simple. Using a Teensy 2.0+ (or the Bodnar board) and an allegro 1302 you should be able to get more than acceptable response. Here is a start. The only difference is the sensor. http://www.leobodnar.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=223 As far as the sensor goes, you can use the body and post of the pot to accomodate the magnet and hall sensor. Gene Buckle over at SimHQ is the local evil genius in regards to that stuff. http://simhq.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/3653294/1 I'll post a picture of my version, when I get a chance.
  13. Except for the links to Lockheed Martin, Boeing, Northrop Grumman, Raytheon etc at the bottom of their home page. Those were probably put there by accident.
  14. Dude, you have working gauges on a 2nd monitor. That's nothing to scoff at. I'm still squinting at my main screen to read the instruments. Nice start.
  15. Ok, but why is it haphazardly thrown on a trailer? You'd think that they would carefully level it and then strap it down.
  16. I've noticed that as well. I don't even shop ebay anymore because prices get astronomical at the end. I have an (ungrounded) suspicion that certain sellers have accounts that they use to bid up their own item prices if bidding is slow. But maybe I'm just pissy
  17. Actually, suck isn't the right word...AWESOME is more appropriate. I just have one question, does the doll act as ATC? :) Keep up the great work
  18. Actually, don't use a drill bit with the dremel. Use a milling bit. Like this: http://www.dremel.com/en-us/Accessories/Pages/ProductDetail.aspx?pid=194 It will shave the hole until you're close to the desired size. Then use this: http://www.dremel.com/en-us/Accessories/Pages/ProductDetail.aspx?pid=407 to make the hole nice and round. It's not hard to do, but you have to take your time and GO EASY. Drill bits put too much pressure in the centre of the hole, and they only grab in 2 spots. That's why they crack the plastic. A scriber would work better than an X-acto because it actually removes a thin ribbon of plastic rather than pushing it out of the way. http://www.cyber-hobby.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=7915 Do the thumb switch in 2 halves.
  19. The WiiMote has a camera built into it. It hangs above your monitor
  20. It's not impossible, it just tanks frame rates. If you look over at viperpits.org, they've beaten the topic to death.
  21. Yep. I've programmed the keystrokes properly, but the modifiers aren't recognized.
