  1. Hi folks, Haven’t seen anything here using the search so… I recently acquired a used X-55 that obviously came from a cat-lover [emoji51] I’d like to clean it properly, and that likely means I’ll be opening it up. I also am noticing some of the buttons don’t quite feel clicky. Haven’t hooked it up yet to test all functions(still using my trusty X-52), but honestly I’d like to get in there and clean up as much of the internals as I can before I start using it. Any bright ideas on how to remove the cat hair effectively without hurting the soft finish as well as refurbish/clean up the contacts and axes while I have this thing apart? Thanks!
  2. Hey OP, I was using an old Westinghouse 720p 27” for awhile as a PC monitor, then bought an awesome (I thought) no-name 39” 720p off Newegg for $89 after rebate. Thought it would do the trick for DCS...way too pixelated for my setup so I went ahead and swapped in my 40” Sony 1080p for PC monitor duty and am loving it. I put the cheapo LCD in the living room and because of the farther viewing distance there, it’s practically just as good as the Sony was. AND TrackIR makes it even better. I really think I’m going to put off the 4K situation as long as possible...since it would require a lot more power in the GPU department. Definitely more interested in trying out the Rift rather than worrying about a huge screen...
  3. So...I’m sure you all gave smoking hot 1080 ti etc type cards in your gaming rigs, but for guys like me, who are cash-strapped, this might be just what you need to bring your DCS game up to VR Refurbished: MSI Radeon RX 470 MSI RX470 MINER 8G RFB Mining Card http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=14-137-298 It’s an 8gb card for $149 and then additional 50% off. That’s a $75 buck card that’s on par with a 1060 and way better at least for me than what I was running (Ryzen 2200g w/no card [emoji51]) Hope it helps someone!
