  1. saw no difference between windows 10 and 11 here.
  2. man, if I had the cash I'd buy this in a heartbeat...but I do not. Good luck to you sir, this is an absolutely amazing deal.
  3. I went from locked 30fps to locked 45fps, using a vive pro 2 at native res. Sooo...worth it!
  4. I finally upgraded my pedals and joystick, so looking to sell my old ones. Both are USB, and the FIghterstick was upgraded with the contactless hall sensors and board, so it's far more accurate. (I didn't need the higher resolution for the pedals). Asking $80 + shipping for the Fighterstick, and $50 + shipping for the rudder pedals. $50 + shipping for Ryzen 5 3600. Can include stock Wraith Stealth cooler if desired.
  5. also important to consider, are you GPU bound, or CPU bound? I'm going to guess GPU bound with a 3060, but without knowing which intel processor you have, we can't truly recommend a card to match it. (For example, I have a 3070, but am CPU bound with a R5 3600. I have already purchased an R7 5800x3d, which will net me around 25% more FPS based on reviews here with my current RTX 3070, and at which point I will be GPU bound, not CPU)
  6. Makes a lot of sense to have it under hardware next to input devices.
  7. Holy guacamole ED... My FPS went from low 30s on the ground to solid 45FPS... and smooth. So much smoother... this was a massive update for me, and I changed no settings. There's room to tweak this for sure, but, I'm insanely impressed. (R5 3600, RTX 3070, 32GB RAM, Vive Pro 2, DCS says cpu bound)
  8. I'm the opposite, and love base station tracking, but I also do roomscale, where inside out tracking is just...bad. I love the Vive Pro 2, but it's a hefty initial entry if you don't already have base stations. G2 is probably your best bet at that price range.
  9. I'll just say that I've used the Warthog for a year, and basically always struggled with the TGP in the F-18. I got the Delta Slew Upgrade, and immediately the TGP became usable. Like..no issues, it just worked. Even the hud reticle became usable.
  10. yeah, we get this in VR too. Even at 100+FOV, it's tunnel vision. Not much of a solution available aside from waiting for wide FOV headsets to get affordable. (and PCs to power them)
  11. First off, you are bringing a favorite area back to flight sims, thanks to hundreds of hours in F-22 ADF by DID back in the 90s! Looking forward to seeing it with modern tech! As for a request...and I have no idea if this is a map makers possibility... But can you make the oil / petroleum storage tanks at the actually explode?
  12. Exclusive VR player, I use a Vive Pro 2, around 70% scaling (I came from the Rift CV1, so this is still a massive improvement, I knew I wouldn't be able to get full details of the headset when I bought it). Love the wider FOV compared to CV1, although still wish for more, but given I also do some roomscale and such, the Pimax was both to bulky and too expensive. VP2 hit all the checkboxes for what I wanted, and I haven't been disappointed.
  13. I'm still happy I have a 3070...no way can I get a new card this fast. LOL Maybe in another 2 years I can get a good upgrade.
  14. I've been enjoying the Vive Pro 2, decent FOV, although still a far cry from PIMAX, but I can read everything in the cockpit, and run it on a 3070, so I'm happy.
  15. I'm in the same boat. Want to buy as well, but site is down.
  16. Never had a crash from desktop, and I don't think DCS has ever crashed. (Xplane 11 is the biggest culprit).
  17. Whatever the GTX 1080 version was with 16GB ram and top i7 at the time. He runs the Oculus Rift S, which...again, was the best at that time. Main issues are it crashes in VR frequently, and non-upgradable. You get a desktop, you can upgrade the GPU, swap mobo and get a new CPU, etc. That said, it does work.
  18. I can answer this, as my dad did this for VR flight sims, with an Alienware R5 17in... answer is...kinda yes? He can run DCS / X-plane 11, and even in VR. BUT, we've had issues, this thing runs loud and hot, has frequent crashes, and can't be upgraded, and has a high up front cost.
  19. My windows has been wonky with auto time. Keeps getting an hour off. I've learned to check before launching the game. LOL
  20. Going to add this: 1: VR is amazing, but be prepared for loss of visual quality compared to flat screen. (Tradeoff 100% worth it, I only fly in VR now) 2: Be prepared for VR sickness your first few flights. Do *not* try to work through it. As soon as you start to feel any queasiness, take a break. Pushing through it will make it far worse, and take longer to get your "VR Legs" so to speak. I found I was fine for normal flying right off the bat, but took me a few flights to be ready to dogfight. 3: be prepared to tweak settings a fair bit to find your personal sweatspot for graphics and framerate.
  21. Just saw that DCS World got Steam Deck Verified as playable! I dunno how they managed it, but dcs can now be played on a handheld portable PC! And with hot-swapable Micro SD cards, that means I can out all of DCS on a dedicated SD Card to play without using any of the internal storage. Haha Can't wait to try this out.
  22. Finally updated to the newer version of the upscaler, and love the added keybinds to tweak settings. Also, getting solid performance and details from it when dialed in.
  23. As a busy dad with 1.5 hours flight time a week, I need these in my life. Thank you!
  24. I go with the disagreements being a good sign actually, as everyone's memory is a little different, slight variations in Aircraft, all have impacts on how this one 'feels' compared to the one they flew. End of the day, I doubt many aircraft even with identical configurations fly exactly the same, close enough you can hop in and fly it sure, but not exact.
