  1. And now the Mozzie too. ED any word on if this can be considered?
  2. As a wishlist item I'd love to be able to do the "tapes on, fights on" and be able to save and review the tapes after a flight.
  3. I've been using this profile for a couple of years and just went looking for it as I've the luxury of a new build to reset up. I'm surprised that there haven't been any posts here for 3 years. Is this no longer the in vogue way of setting up the throttle? If not for Gizzy's profile how do people set up the three way switches, particularly the flaps in the F/A18C etc, without having to mess with .lua or programming individual things in TARGET?
  4. I don't live in Vegas but have had the pleasure of damaging my liver there on a number of occasions. I did think the 2020 image looked very accurate with regards to colouring. it also feels like a 'high gamma' sort of place when you escape out the casinos, it is a particularly bright light during the day followed by lots of bright lights at night. Good times.
  5. I find quite a bit of benefit using having four, particularly when flying in VR. I use the fourth Cougar for things a want to access quickly and just with muscle memory. For example, along the top row I have the different views F1, F2, F10 etc. On the left side I have kneeboard buttons, top left corner I have Escape, top right corner Eject, bottom row I have the flashlight, NVGs etc and Salute. I'd struggle without the fourth one these days and never have to use the keyboard in sim.
  6. Why I am going to be buying this beautiful module anytime soon... Indeed I already have, and the P47! The detail in the towns looks fantastic. It is almost enough to tempt me away from the Hornet for a bit. With all the batsh1t crazy stuff going on in the world this is a wonderful bit of escapism. Thank you ED.
  7. 'Santa' brought me one for Christmas and I love it. I use the mini scroll in it for zoom (forward), super zoomy thing (back) and re-centre view (press). I must admit I also have another zoom mapped on the throttle in case I want to zoom when doing CCIP bomb drops. Having the hornet stick does feel a bit indulgent but I do greatly enjoy using it.
  8. Hi Meyomyx, just wanted to check a couple of things. Are you practicing against the S3, or if on one of the other tankers using both the radio calls, 'request rejoin' and 'ready pre-contact' and going to the correct basket? I only ask because from memory you can get that situation you were talking about, the probe going straight through the basket and never connecting, when you try to plug into a hose that isn't expecting you. It's not a problem with the S3 of course as it only has the one hose and it is retracted unless it is expecting you. But even if that is not the issue, and on a positive note, you are getting close to mastering AAR if you are consistently putting the probe near the basket! That is a really good start. I believe the S3 has been shot down more than once by a DCSer frustrated with learning to AAR. When it clicks and you get the hang of it it is awesome though.

    BUNO

I think this is our 'real' jet, BUNO 165407. Now with VMFA-323, or at least that was the case in 2018.
  10. There have been quite a number of threads requesting a revamp of the S3 textures and further development of the AAR model in general spanning over a number of years. I believe there had been some mention a while back that this would be revisited with the SC, however, I haven't seen any recent reference to it from Kate or Wags in any product roadmap. The people/team that are revamping existing models appear to be working on the WWII Asset pack at this stage so I'd think any change to the S3 is unlikely in the foreseeable future. But then again maybe something is in the works tied to the SC.
  11. I looked at the poll and started to fill it in but like some others didn't know too much about many of those features or what the impact of each of those items would be on my gameplay so decided to leave it in the hands of those that know more. I guess what I'm saying is that there may be many others that are well engaged, and loving (or otherwise) the Hornet, though didn't complete the survey i.e. a limited number of survey respondents does not necessarily equate to limited engagement or interest in the Hornet or its ongoing development.
  12. I loved it. That has well and truely put a smile on my face so thank you ED, just what I needed (some light hearted relief I didn't realise I needed until I got it). It is crazy times and that was a cool little bit of normal April 1 tom foolery. It made my day. Thanks again.
  13. Yep, lovely work ED. DCS is going to be important escapism for many of us over the coming weeks and months. As the owner of a smallish business the months ahead are pretty daunting. I'm probably going to be working my backside off from home just to keep the company afloat so may not have much time for DCS. But when I do get the chance to step away from worky stuff immersing myself in hooking up to that tanker or getting a decent score on Bankler's carrier landing mission is a really healthy thing for me to do. It gives me the mental space to take a break and just chillax in my own somewhat self indulgent virtual world. So thanks ED, I'm grateful to you for the opportunity to do so. And I'm grateful that your sale provides an opportunity for more people to do the same.
