  1. Pre ordered today, can’t wait. Thank you Heatblur for the module and releasing the manual early. Another humbling module for non pilots like me but I’ll have fun trying.
  2. Not really sure what I did, but I think picking the Maverick f/a-18c skin was the only thing I changed apart from loadout, which changed my vr hanger to a carrier with the hornet. I only did that this morning mucking around with my controller to check comms menu selection was working on throttle. Are there others?
  3. Documentation and music included is extremely well done!
  4. Picked this up today, been spending the last few months going through my rpl and ppl course irl and learning the f5e and fc3 aircraft in dcs before I committed to the f14 module apart from the first few famil lessons when I picked it up a while back. Just wanted to say thanks to all involved in making this. This level of access, if even only simulated to a percentage of the pressures faced by a pilot and a rio, makes me respect them even more. We had a lot of American air assets on station when I was doing my grunt work and can honestly say how elated we were knowing they were there and how deflated were felt when they weren’t. I can’t imagine how the air to air mission must have weighed on them, was never witness to it in my time (‘01-‘16) from the ground. But I felt like a total imposter listening to Bio in the first mission. I still had a grin like a slit watermelon, but felt that same sense of deflation when I realised I am probably out of my depth ha. I will continue to fly the lessons as provided with the module and apply them as I can in the campaign, thank goodness for active pause though. Cheers Bio and @Reflected. I am a happy wug with my purchase.
  5. That is fantastic. Great work.
  6. You are correct. I had the guardian set as stationary. Once I reset it that to room scale it was fixed. Or, at least through that cycle it was fixed. Thank you though, appreciate the tip.
  7. My wife just bought me a quest 2 and gave it to me as an early Christmas present and first time loading up dcs it would let me lean in towards switch panels and move around cockpit like my cv1. But second time I loaded it up the menu and cockpit stayed same distance away and moved with my head not allowing me to move 6dof. I can look left and right, up and down but not closer to any switch or instruments. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong? Everything is updated and running air link fine with ax router until cable arrives. Thanks in advance.
  8. Just wanted to say thank you to @Hollywood_315. Great app, bought the bundle which was an amazing price for what you’ve done. Tested tonight, AIRIO is smile inducing to say the least. My son jumped in the F-14 and he could not believe what he was witnessing. I had to let him stay up a bit on a school night he was having the time of his life, but I wanted a turn. I’m only new to all of this, but it’s added a sense of immersion that is unprecedented.
  9. Rest Sir. You’ve left a legacy that people are still discovering and created an opportunity for young minds to venture onward with excellence. Thank you for your service.
  10. Hey all. Been a regular visitor for a few years, recently retired pro rifleman, 2001 until Nov last year, I can finally put the hours into DCS. Took a lot of the guides with me over the years, started with a copy of LOMAC but haven’t had the time until now. This isn’t an acceptance speech so I won’t rattle off a list of names but the community and the content creators here have made getting set up to fly amazingly easy. I will say thanks to Chuck for his guides though, required reading in my opinion. Starting off in FC3 for familiarity then will probably progress through the F5E, I also have the super carrier and some navy birds with a view to enjoying some WW2 campaigns as I get my feet. Viacom pro and HeatBlur have made this sim even more appealing to me. Also I plan on flying this with my son so I can RIO him as he gets more familiar as well. He’s had the fortune to have a grandad and our neighbour introduce him to flying from 10 years old so I think the bug has bitten him and I’d prefer he look forward to that as a career choice over mine. So does the bride, ha! This sim has progressed since getting my attention as far back as 2006, and now being nothing more than a school time taxi I can finally invest in it at my own pace. Cheers, WUG.
