  1. I am unable to install the Syria theater. Every time I try, I get this message:
  2. DCS is in fact installed on my new SSD. I did not reinstall Windows (which is still installed on my HDD C drive). The new SSD E drive basically just functions as a 1 TB flash-style USB drive but I assumed nonetheless that installing DCS onto it would improve performance.
  3. I recently reinstalled DCS and now the load times are extremely long. They can be anywhere from 5 minutes to hours without loading at all. It just stays stuck on this screen:
  4. I am trying to land the Su-25T, but each time I do, the nose wheel tire strips off. Apparently this guy had the same problem. Does anybody know what to do besides ask the ground crew to repair every time you land?
  5. I would like to see this map given its relevance to the current political situation. DCS already has Tigers, Mirages, Vipers, and Flankers. If Okinawa is included, the Eagles, Hornets, and Harriers might come into play as well.
  6. I set up a custom mission with 2 carriers, in which I fly the Sea Flanker. I am ask both of them for permission to land and am told by both that I am not authorized. Does anybody know what the reason for this would be?
  7. Would it be possible to implement an AI version of China's mainstay bomber? Also, it would be nice to see Taiwan as a map given the recent H-6 bomber flights there, as well as the area around Tibet after China's recent border skirmish with India.
  8. Some of the other DCS modules support force feedback joysticks with gun shake and stall warning stick shakers. Would it be possible for these features to be implemented on the Tiger? :joystick:
  9. The Tiger is very easy for a supersonic air-to-air fighter. If you want something easier, look into the L-39 (it is slow and simple and has two seats) or A-10 (the Flaming Cliffs A-10A is particularly easy because it does not have a clickable pit, and the bundled non-clickable F-15C, with its low wing loading and good slow-speed handling, is similarly easy to pick up although it is competitive in combat with any other DCS fighter except perhaps the >1,900mphMach 2.83/78,000ft ceiling MiG-25 and MiG-31, which are AI only and have lousy maneuverability and range).
  10. The Tiger does not support Force feedback joysticks with either gun shake or a stall warning stick shaker. Could these features be implemented?
  11. In Flaming Cliffs 2, the MiG-29 featured gun shake (stick vibration when firing the cannon); now, none of the planes have the feature. Now, the MiG-29 and Su-27 both have stick shakers when approaching a stall, but the A-10A and F-15C do not. Would it be possible to implement stick shakers and gun shake for all Flaming Cliffs 3 aircraft?
  12. Is there any plan in the future for the Huey to support multiple players per helicopter (i.e. 2 gunner players and 2 pilot players)?
  13. I just went through the guide. In the tutorial, you use the F-18, which has a virtual detent. I mainly fly the Flaming Cliffs 3 aircraft, especially the F-15C, which do not have this option. What should I do? :joystick:

  15. I would be happy to see this, the F-15C even without the clickable pit is my favorite module in DCS.
  16. "Dogfighting is a waste of time." -Erich Hartmann, 352 aerial victories (he used his superior eyesight and boom-and-zoom techniques (especially diving out of the sun) to defeat his mostly-Soviet enemies; every time one pulls G, energy (altitude and airspeed) is lost)
  17. I acquired a Thrustmaster Warthog several months ago, and it is an excellent product except for the fact that setting the throttle at the maximum non-afterburner detents produces a slightly different throttle value for each engine. How do I mitigate this?
  18. Taiwan flies the F-5E, which they equip with the AIM-120 and Sky Sword II (the latter has superior speed and range to the AIM-120; it would be nice to see a DCS rendition of it). https://militarywatchmagazine.com/article/taiwan-s-modernised-f-5es-pack-a-punch-with-indigenous-hypersonic-air-to-air-missiles-sky-sword-ii-can-engage-targets-at-mach-6 https://militarywatchmagazine.com/article/the-f-5-in-singaporean-and-taiwanese-service-modernising-a-second-generation-fighter-for-the-21st-century
  19. The AIDC F-CK-1 Ching-Kuo Indigenous Defense Fighter (IDF) and Mitsubishi F-2 (similar to the F-16, but with different radar and avionics) are the indigenous fighters for Taiwan and Japan. Could somebody start developing these? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AIDC_F-CK-1_Ching-kuo https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mitsubishi_F-2
  20. I have DCS Flaming Cliffs 3, UH-1 Huey, and F-5E. I fly with a Logitech G940 FFB HOTAS. the Huey has excellent force feedback implementation; the other modules only implement stick movement on trim (there is no gunfire shake or stick vibration when stalling, as implemented in IL-2 Sturmovik 1946; I have played no simulator that came close to Microsoft Flight Simulator X, which modulates stick force depending on the pressure on control surfaces.
  21. It would be nice if somebody made a Taiwan map as well as an AI Tupolev Tu-16/Xian H-6 "Badger", complete with anti-ship missiles, because the H-6 is China's most capable bomber and they are already being used to harass Taiwan. Thanks. https://asia.nikkei.com/Politics/China-sends-warplanes-through-Taiwan-airspace?n_cid=NARAN185&utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=infeed&utm_campaign=IC+NL&utm_content=FB_dynamic_ads&fbclid=IwAR3E8ZKzloo8GQqaz602reTSffWddxxQBIjkdqA-kjwUIpOlxFeLfZdsSy0
  22. I've had the DCS F-5 for at least a year now, and I was disappointed to find that the plane can only carry two AIM-9 Sidewinders as far as guided missiles go. It looks like the team is modeling the F-5 as it was used during the Vietnam era; many air force is still use the Tiger and they often equip it with four Sidewinders, four AGM-65 Mavericks, or four AIM-120 AMRAAMS. I downloaded the F-16 module and everything about it is excellent except for the air-to-surface payload. I understand the team is working on Maverick compatibility; it would also be nice to see the AGM-84 Harpoon as an option (Falcon 4 is 2 decades old and it features both the Harpoon and Maverick). The single-seat air superiority F-15C in Flaming Cliffs 3 (no clickable pit) has been one of my favorite DCS planes for years because of its performance (it has a higher top speed and range than the F-22 because it is much lighter although it is not stealth). It would be nice to see an F-15E Strike Eagle with a clickable cockpit and a rear seat like the F-14's (the F-15E's cockpit is more technologically sophisticated than the F-15C's). Communist aggression on China's eastern frontier will likely involve the People's Liberation Army Navy; Taiwan and South Corea both fly the F-5 and F-16, and South Corea flies the F-15K (based on the E model), so it is important that these land-based planes become capable of air-to-surface (especially air-to-sea) missions in DCS (the F-18 and F-14 get a lot of attention, but aircraft carriers may become largely obsolete in the future due to aerial refueling tankers; it is possible for bombers (B-52s, B-1s, and B-2s) and strike planes (including Harpoon-armed F-16s and F-35s) escorted by air-superiority fighters (F-15Cs and F-22s) and tankers (KC-135s, KC-10s, and KC-46s) to take off from Honolulu, Anchorage, or possibly even California and attack ships near Taipei and Tainan as well as airbases, naval yards, and ballistic missile sites (US carriers in the region are extremely vulnerable to China's new carrier-killing missile) across the Taiwan Strait in Taipei and Fuzhou. I don't know how much of the B-2, F-22 and F-35 info is classified, but it would be nice to see an AI KC-46 Pegasus. EDIT: Can somebody move this to the general wish list forum? I did not realize this was only supposed to be Viper-related.
  23. It can carry the equivalent weight in dumb and guided bombs; why not missiles? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Northrop_F-5
