  1. No you are all wrong. An autorotation would be full collective down with trim to 60kts with a pull on collective before touchdown with left rudder. This flight model will over torque with 130%+ and crash in a <profanity> show of phenomenal matter . This is not normal and shows how bad the flight model is currently programmed. I agree it is still in beta and can take time to fix but yes it is bad really bad.........
  2. I have noticed that the current flight model overtorques way too easily and with such little inputs. I have had maybe 60-70% left peddle in a landing and the whole thing goes to hell and overtorques out of control. I have flown many helicopters in real life and massive peddle input would NEVER overtorque a helicopter. Nor would a massive cyclic input but in DCS we have that. A basic back hard pull on the cyclic with a small amount of collective and left peddle input as any normal helicopter landing would require has put me in an overtorque hell with uncontrollable inputs under all the controls more time than I can count. This is not anywhere near a real helicopter controllability DCS! The flight model needs some real fixing.....
  3. I had it unlocked today at it was all over the place!! A helicopter is not hard to taxi at all but DCS made even a little rudder and she is spinning almost 90 degrees which is so unrealistic..... With all controls full down it still spins around like a top which is 100% unrealistic.
  4. I agree that force trim is an issue. They are putting in a trim that works by keeping the controls in place when used on sticks that do not lock in place. This is such a huge difference that you have to return the controls to center that the helicopter gets uncontrollable during this reset especially on landing. If my stick would hold its position it would not be a factor but since it does not the trim is flawed in a big way!! Think they need to program a way to either use force trim or a standard trim like the Hind. This would give the pilot a way to choose what works best for them depending on the stick used.
  5. When setting the force trim I noticed that when set the controls wont move until you release them. Agree when using the trim I crash almost 90% of the time.
  6. THANKS GUYS ..... Sorry, going through Wags controller setup and ran into a wall a few minutes in. Frostcab I used your setup and it worked! Again thanks.
  7. I went into Axis Controls and then HOCAS Cursor Controller - X Axis and trying to bind one of the hats on my Thrustmaster A-10 stick and nothing. Hit all keys on both stick and throttle and nothing binds in key/button area. Does anyone have any idea how to fix. I even cleared that area before double clicking the area. And yes I am sure it is under the Joystick-HOTAS Warthog column.
  8. I have flown the F-14 a few times but each time I fly it and get into any combat it shutters, stalls and flips over. Any type of aggressive movements with it it acts like it wants to falls out of the sky. Now I have not modified the axis controls in any way so if others have changed theirs this might be my issue. Out of the box it is terrible in my opinion but would like to make it flyable in combat without it just stalling all the time....... With that said it is by far the most beautifully done aircraft in DCS.
  9. Correct, when in missile mode it bounces left and right across the screen....
  10. No special changes in your settings if you set up the A-10 and F-18 correctly. The X and Y work across all platforms once you get them aligned......
  11. Nose The nose cone is made of a material like fiberglass and not of the aluminum of the main aircraft so there is a color change when painted. The original A model was black and changed in later models to a more grey/green color to match the main color of the aircraft.
