  1. if memory serves me correctly, this file is not available anymore since it was encrypted a few months ago. Back then quite some files were encripted, but not completely sure anymore if the callsigns were.
  2. One of the main advantages SRS still has is, that if somebody is on his laptop using lotatc, he can command the others without having dcs running on the system, that is the most vital part lacking in the builtin voip in my opinion.
  3. if you want to start into coding an external flight model you have to study quite deep into equations of motion and fluid dynamics as far as I know and you need to learn to code in c++, so if you want to start going in that direction thats where you have to start studying. Then you need to get access to wind tunnel data or alternatively CFD data for the aircraft you want to model. If you have all these basics then you can start looking into other open source flight models like the one of the a-4 that was already linked above
  4. I think they are still calculated, at least their collision objects are. If you delete a hangar per trigger and place something on top of it, it stays on top of the invisible hangar. I really also hope for better performance, especially as some people have struggles with high end pc's. But for the people expecting to continue to run dcs on the same settings with aging hardware, this won't happen due to the advancements of the game. If your computer can't upgrade there is a simple solution that really hurts. When 2.5 came around I couldn't run it (back then I could barely run 1.5), so I had to go back to 1.2 version of dcs. That was because I was playing on my mother s laptop that was a hot potato. I still am a Student and am lowering my settings slowly as dcs progresses but I think it is unreasonable to expect a game that gets developped to new graphical standards all the time to be able to run on old hardware, so worst case you have to stay on an older version of dcs. The amazing thing with dcs is, that at least last time I tested multiplayer versions as late as 1.2 were working when the other player also installed 1.2
  5. I really also hope for improvements and optimisations, but why are you calling bs on us flying 4 ship all evening long? We had different systems (one or two people flat screen, rest vr) I myselfe fly in vr, with a 1080ti, a ryzen 5 2600 and only 16gb ram and had quite good performance, so it is not just raw power but probably some settings or configurations that play together with some hardware configurations that lead to really bad performance for some and quite okay performance for others
  6. Well I have to say, I'm sorry for everybody that has huge fps problems, but for many apparently it isn't really a problem. We flew 4 ship hornets today all over the map and none of us had really any problems (we however all had lowered our settings previousely for flying missions on syria). So especially as it is a free map, I'm still happy that it has been released for those of us who can already use it and hopefully for the rest it gets optimized soon.
  7. In the newsletter they said it would be due to people cheating in online servers with enhanced missiles
  8. So to sum up this, we have waited a year for the promised waveoff lights and now we can't even use them in vr with the mouse? I have the blue cross but can't reach the buttons and can't test with controllers as I don't have them.
  9. Just a bump, as this issue is still present after having been reported multiple times and since multiple years.
  10. I know this thread is a bit older, but there is a workaround. There is a invisible farp and it removes scenery objects in a small radius around it. You can place multiple of them to remove stuff in multiplayer. Disadvantage is, that you can't contact the airfields anymore because the farps clutter the frequency list.
  11. I just want to bump this thread, as this problem has been in existance for years and not been fixed. We are a swiss community and are rebuilding our airbases with custom buildings and stuff. In Singleplayer, with this trigger you can remove all hangars and trees, but it is only visible to the server, not to the clients. Our workaround at the moment is to place hzundreds of invisible helipads as they remove the objects too, but this creates problems when refueling and with contacting atc as there are hundreds of farps in your radio list. This is one example where it would be extremely useful to have this feature.
  12. As a swiss, I would love such a map.
  13. If you have to press another seperate button it is even less realistic than not having to press a button at all, as the idea behind it is, that you push down the hat of the tdc and then move it.
  14. yes, only user files go into the saved games folder, if you put the others there the game will detect that you changed your game files and fail IC. It would also start downloading all the skins in every update.
  15. This specific problem is only in the c-101 as far as I can tell, but in the yak more often than not, multicrew is bugged with smoke being on for one person, off for the other, canopy open for one person and stuff like that (the important controls normally work). I don't know if it is fixed now but for a long time the l-39 would lose its controll surfaces while transfering controls from pilot to instructor, when not flying level with controls centered.
  16. Well, don't wait for it because of lacking multicrew, it is not like multicrew is working any better in the l-39 or the yak.
  17. For me it only happens when I don't go to mil on touchdown, or when I wait to long with going idle when the cable starts pulling the jet backwards.
  18. We have our server setup, so the people from our staff have acces to a google drive wich is hardlinked to the missions folder of our servers, so they can access the webgui, drop a mission into the google drive and upload it to the server. Then a limited number of People have full access to the server to perform the updates and stuff.
  19. I hate to break your enthusiasm but for many of these things you need sdk-access and for that you need to set up a company and have a contract with ED.
  20. In a Training flight two days ago I noticed that since the last update the beacon is not visible and the nav lights aren't flashing in the flashing position of the rotary knob. BTW. Thank you for the new floodlights in the cockpit, finally usable floodlights which don't blind you in the tiger.
  21. see the threads about it in the Mods section. It is not about multiplayer, it is about copyright and it will be resolved in the next patch.
  22. There have been multiple threads within the Bugs section and the Wishlist section about not being able to have realistic carrier setups because of the AI Taxiing through the statics. That's why I have come up with the idea of having in the Mission editor a set of Tickboxes where you can have No-Go-Areas for the ai, so for example you want to have statics in front of the Island, then you tick the corresponding box so The AI will taxi around it. If the ammount of these areas is limited, not every time an AI taxies, new routes have to be calculated but there are standard routes around these areas and mission editors can place statics there. A similar solution could be used for the catapults, with tickboxes for disabling a catapult. Additionally it would be great to have at least the option to disable the catapult available via flags in the mission, so the waist catapults can be disabled if we are doing case 1 training, because atm the crew often runs in position, only to find an aricraft in the groove and running back out of the landing area.
  23. until the next update, maybe there will be a hotfix, if not the earliest third of june. Until then, you can always go to the stable version, things like this should not, but can happen on openbeta. They don't have every cpu in existance to test, so they push things to openbeta so a broad userbase tests them. also this thread should be in the general dcs bugs area, not in the mods area.
  24. Yes, in the other thread I have also replied that I could get it to work again which was a huge relief. At the same time we have no idea if with any update this support could be lost, so integrating them into the basegame, or having the possibility of doing these things in the saved games area would still be hugely appreciated.
