  1. Hi! I recently had some computer trouble-- my motherboard shorted out-- and I had to grab some replacement parts. I now have a different board and a different processor. Everything else is the same apart from the power supply and 2GB less RAM (new board has a DDR3, so I had to throw some out), as well as a couple disk drives. Starforce isn't too happy about it though. Every time I launch a mission the DRM asks me to enter my key to reactivate the product. It asks me several times for each product and then goes on to launch the sim. When I try to fly any of the aircraft there are no cockpits; the content is not there. If I restart the game and try again the process simply repeats itself. If I try to activate the modules from their folders inside "~Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Mods\aircrafts" the DRM program simply crashes. I reactivated Flaming Cliffs 2 alright, its just DCS World that's having problems. On top of all that my copy of DCS:BS is all out of activations. Of course I knew that, but since my computer died the way it did I wasn't able to deactivate the product. So perhaps you could manually deactivate it for me? I shouldn't need a new key, as I believe I have plenty of deactivations left. I should mention that I have already tried to reinstall DCS World without sucess. I appreciate the help, I really want to get back in the air.
  2. How will FC 3 aircraft interact with the current DCS:World modules? For instance, with the advent of FC 2 the radar signature of the Ka-50 was altered, effectively eliminating any return from the blades (or so that is my understanding). Are we going to have to deal with this sort of thing again?
  3. I've looked into it a bit and this DIRCM thing seams quite interesting to me. Can anybody tell me how it really works and if we'll ever see it implemented in DCS?
  4. Change your radio. If you don't want to hear them then go into the mission editor and change the frequencies of the other flights.
  5. Crap! I'm stuck in stupid Lake Tahoe untill Saturday! It's not fair!
  6. Ahh, woops! Thanks for the correction! I meant to say Leopard, I swear! Scared myself for a minute there.:megalol:
  7. Germany has got the Challenger and the Marder while the UK has the Warrior IFV. And no doubt they'll be drivable if that's all you're worried about. ;)
  8. Well you can make the game, but you can't force people to play it a certain way. It's just gonna be the way it is. Maybe public servers won't be so bad, I don't really know if the DCS community would have a hard time playing the right way or not. And as you've said in your post, it isn't as if you can't play the game in as realistic a manor as possible, it is just that you chose not to. I understand, sure, I am lazy too. The deaf person in this case may just not be able to play.
  9. Yea, well the P-51 is a sim. CA looks like a fun thing to play with, something I'd definitely get if I the money sitting around. It's like Flamming Cliffs; it'd be fun to mess around with, but I'm not gonna get it if I have to bend over backwards to come up with the cash. :P The next DCS fighter on the other hand... :joystick: That being said, I think I'll be dropping the money on CA once it becomes available, but I'm probably not gonna go out and get it right away. I already had my go with FC2 so I think I'll pass on that when it comes out (unless ED pulls something else out of their hat), but this is something new, so I think I'll try it at some point.
  10. Well Stickers, your posts do seem to suggest you have a problem with accidentally shooting folks. :music_whistling: But if y'all ever run across an "archer" in Chernarus, lemme know you're from the forums. I'll trust ya more, and it's better to have more friends than enemies the way I see it. :D
  11. I am disappointed too. Albeit I have no expertise in nor knowledge on the subject, but it seems that the only possible reason that they couldn't allow BS2 upgrade users to fly in World is because they are trying to work out some sort of activation procedure. Enter DCS:Black Shark Key --> Enter DCS:Black Shark 2 Key --> Product Activated I thought I read somewhere that this wasn't the case though. However as World is still in beta they can deny us the ability to fly as long as they damn well please, seeing as there is no entitlement to participate in a beta test. Makes me sad, a big letdown for me, but what can you do? Would be nice, but it may just be we are screwed on beta participation.
  12. Not entirely their fault. ED wouldn't make you buy from UBI if they didn't have to, but they are contractually obligated. They got screwed, so it isn't as if they do it by choice. :ermm:
  13. Terrible film for sure. Movies are all so lame anymore it seems. But it may be that I'm just not old enough to appreciate how bad it was...
  14. Great! Thanks Nate, that was my question. You guys had me scared for a minute there! :megalol:
  15. I like the idea of Flying Legends. Not really all that interested, but the pony is pretty cool. And hey, if everyone else loves it why not? I may end up buying it yet. But I have a question about the 109 and the 190 as well as the B-17 I saw elsewhere. I think I'm a little confused on this whole third party mods thing. Are we gonna see AI packs that we'd have to pay for? I was under the impression that this would only be the case with flyable aircraft and maybe maps, all AI units would be availiable to everyone. That's what I got from the МиГ-21 thread at any rate. So are we going to have to pay for AI units, or is this sort of a "You agree to a contract, ED gives you the tools and everything you make is theirs to include in the game in some later patch" sort of thing?

  17. What? DCS:Flying Fortress? And the forums haven't exploded over this new discovery yet? I am surprised...
  18. Wild Weasel, baby! Where's my SA-2?! :pilotfly: Edit* No gun! Still great fun though. :D
  19. Well, I decided to sign on if that's OK. Sounds like a good time!
  20. 'Bout a year and a half ago I made a suggestion on this thread: the MiG-21. Lo and behold..... So lets hope this works a second time! F-4 Phantom II. One with a gun! Come on, baby! :D
  21. First of all, let me just say that I have no idea. Though I wouldn't think it'd be any different. Don't own the pony... Check your ping?
  22. Right, right. I always forget the FC series!
  23. All ED developed aircraft will have clickable pits, advanced flight and damage models, and everything else to be found in the Mustang final release. The МиГ-21 will have a fully clickable pit as well (however the last time I checked the thread the FM was still to be determined). Third party mods however arn't, as far as I know, guaarenteed the same level of quality, or even 3D pits.
