my valve index station (only ordered one) is already dead, blinks red after almost 2 weeks….

Valve Index Base Station blinkt rot nach nicht einmal 2Wochen Einsatz. Kosten ja nur 159€ das Stück... Jetzt bleibt Antwort abzuwarten, Rücksendung, neues Teil erwarten..... Ich hasse BANANENHARD+SOFTWARE welche erst beim Kunden reifen muss. Da ich nicht der einzige bin, gehe ich nicht von einem Montagsprodukt aus.

check mal ob Dein DCS im Vollbildmodus ist, zur Not mit Alt+Enter. Dann sollten die Miniaussetzer verschwinden. Auf dem Monitor sollte dann das Bild voll sein, siehst Du mit der Brille sonst nicht.

Tasten betätigst du in VR in der Regel mit der Maus. Bei den FC3 Modellen musst Du komplett alles auf Deinen Joystick packen, da nur dort nur mit Tastatur bedient wird. Und mit Brille auf siehste die Tastatur ja nicht ;)

Die Controller machen bei der Index echt einen guten Eindruck, aber momentan interessiert mich nur gutes Tracking, bin mit der alten HP sonst mit 1440x1440 zufrieden. Der kleine Sprung an FOV in Verbindung mit meinem Setup sollte aber zurzeit optimal passen. Mich würde noch interessieren, wie gut man spotten kann mit der Index, denn da habe ich noch Probleme. Evtl hat mein Kumpel die Index noch weit vor mir, damit ich testen kann :D

@ram0506 hab mir mal son Ding reserviert (Index). Als alter WMR Nutzer weiß ich wie sehr das Tracking nervt. Da sollte was passieren, und nicht einfach die Auflösung erhöht werden. Falls in naher Zukunft was besseres kommt, was ich nicht glaube, wird halt abbestellt.

Hat die Index wirklich nen 130 FOV? Im englischen Forum hier wird nun spekuliert, dass es angeblich nur ein 114er sein soll... Schon verwirrend manchmal mit dem ganzen Expertengedöns. @uwedd läuft doch top mit deinen Speccs !

Try to use your left and right wheelbrakes too, to taxi around. I had exactly the same Problem with wind.

Im not in a Rush, but on Winter/ Easter Sale i thought buy them all and test whenever you want to test a Plane/Heli. To have what u like already makes it easier. No rule to master one plane 1st. My fav. Bird is the buggy AV-8b ;) I married Betty last November. She is so in love with me, whenever she looks at me, she starts to stutter :D But nice to have some knobs to shut her up :P

Once you like it, you'll buy other modules anyway ;) I startet with FC 8Month ago and have 3 Helis, 10planes and all Maps or something like that now :D

My Solution was, to put the Headset on before you start DCS.

i know i have some Shapackle contact sometimes, cause mine has been falling down from a truck, so Guarantee is not a word i can speak for :) The HMD is working. Still looking for a fix

Checking some settings in Steam VR currently. Without Steam VR and only running Mixed Reality Portal, the HMD works after Standby. Now i think that Steam VR is the Problem too (1.3.23).

I'll give that a try. Edit: Didnt work. Funny thing is Tracking still works, only the screen is gone.

Then something ain't right with mine. Mixed Reality Portal and Steam VR is running, all works great in DCS. If i put it back on my head after a break of 10Mins or so the HMD-Screen keeps Black. But i can see all on my Monitors, in Portal and Steam VR.

does somebody know, how to wakeup the HMD from Standby without restarting the Computer or unplug all cables ? I cant find anything.

...hmmm thinking about, if it's possible to join a Multiplayer Server filled with Tomcats, joining each as Rio to pull Eject :D :D :D
