if you are good with notepad++ and search and replace functions therein
extract out the mission file itself from the MIZ file, open in notepad++ , search for the hidden line and update it to turn it off
save the mission file and drop it back into the MIZ file

rename saved games/dcs.openebeta to dcs.openbetaX
then try starting DCS , just to see if something config wise is borked
