I set up a simple mission on Sinai so my group could look at the new map, but the 'Run' button is greyed out on the dedicated server, editing the start files to have it launch at server start gives me a 'Error starting server' pop up. Log tells me its an unsupported mission file. I have updated the server to 2.8.6.41066 Never had an issue with any new map before ( PG, SY, SA, etc ). (edit) I have flown the mission SP...   2. I'm hoping we will get a paint kit for this so we can customize it for our squadron. Individual seat textures, billboards to put up pilot awards and such.

  4. Really appreciate this tool as a server operator and skin maker. While using the Model Viewer my liveries tool doesn't appear or is off screen, restarting the MV/Utility/System doesn't reset its position, where is that position stored so I can manually move it back to a 'good' location? Also the MV seems to be rendering at a lower resolution ( ie 1080 on a 4k screen ) even when maximized. Thanks Ebein, CAG VFA-106 Gladiators
  5. Funny how this typically draws down to either Git-Gud or turn on unlimited fuel. As stated most of my pilots AAR with little issue, but several of our guys fly with their 70-80 year old fathers and since we cant turn on unlimited fuel on a pilot by pilot basis an option where they can still join us on longer missions is what I'm asking for.

My squadron has several 70+ pilots (2 @ 80yo), and while I expect most of my squadron pilots to be able to AAR in their 'primary' airframe, I don't have the expectation that my older pilots are able to. For many of them it is their first SIM and first video game period. It would be nice if we had an option to allow an easy mode AAR so we could design more of our campaign missions with AAR. I would suggest either an autopilot AAR, or preferably ( and probably easier to implement ) a radius based AAR, if you are within X meters of the tanker you get refueled, only allowing AAR within a certain cone behind the tanker would be good also.   8. Require a layered texture template for any new aircraft released. And add texture templates for all units in the game. Help DCS skinners add to the game. We have aircraft that have been out for years now still w/o a useful template. My squadron flies a wide variety of aircraft and I create a new livery for every campaign we fly (2-3 per year) making similar liveries for each airframe that are included in that particular campaign, unfortunately several do not have a useful template to build from.   9. My squadron uses the DCS log and tacview log to capture data about our weekly campaign missions. Neither provide the data we would like to collect and a more verbose log system would help us parse the logs easier. Currently we parse the logs by cutting and pasting the logs into a complex excel spreadsheet that collates the data. Eventually we will write a stand alone application to do the same and also keep track of per pilot data, however we are waiting until 2.7 & vulkan to drop as we expect some significant changes in log data.   11. A properly layered template of all of the assets they add to the game would be more useful then the community can add all the skins we want. Viggen has been out for years and no official template, No official template for F-14 either. There is a 'paint kit' for the F-14 made by a dedicated player but has no mesh layer to help you figure out where pieces go

  15. See attached JPG. I copied parts of the tail and nose, that in GIMP are the same color ( color picker ) yet the nose shows up as almost entirely black ( everything shows as somewhat darker ) compared to all the other textures on the model. I cant figure out what i could be doing wrong, Havent had an issue like this with the Hornet & A-10 skins ive done. Thanks,
  16. My Squadron and I have been flying(testing) this on and off for a couple weeks. A few questions/suggestions. A. Is there a way to create a custom faction or two? B. We regularly have 8-12 pilots flying in our Sunday campaign, We would like to run Liberation in the future, will the force multiplier be re-enabled in the near future? There are nowhere near enough targets for our group in its current state. C. We flew a Full Map mission from Liwa, and had No enemy CAP show up, a bunch of planes spawned at the nearest enemy airfield but never moved. We killed them on the ground.
  17. On the bright side, I've had at least one Gladiators server up for nearly 2 years, and yesterday was the first time I had to ban someone for purposely attacking friendlies. I can kick a player from the webGUI, but noone ever shows up in the 'banned' page, and I cant find any ban list / ban file that I can add names to. I also run multiple servers, so can we locate a file where all the servers can point to the ban list? Thanks!
  18. We pause the servers when noone is on, and we have a mission reset target near the 'starting base', I also do at least weekly restart of our servers.
  19. The Gladiators are recruiting a few filthy casuals to join us in online fun. Gladiators runs 3 dedicated DCS open beta servers, with a 4th server running as needed for squadron only campaigns or training missions. Gladiators currently include Pilots from 28-77 years of age. We have members who own one module, and members who have them all. We strive to work together to complete mission goals and to help each other learn the various modules of DCS. We have been running weekly dynamic squadron only PVE campaigns every Sunday 2100-2300 EST for the last year, and are now adding a new series of mini-campaigns on Wednesdays 2100-2300 EST that are 4-6 missions long covering aircraft we dont primarily fly. We fly Practice & training every Monday and Wednesday 2100-2300. We primarily fly A-10C, F-16, JF-17 & F/A-18C, though we are constantly learning new aircraft, and are happy to help train players who are willing to put in the same effort to learn. Our requirements Communications ( teamspeak & SRS ) PTT. Able to fly with us regularly on Monday/Wednesday/Sunday 2100-2300 EST, we don't expect you for every session, but we expect our members to fly 'regularly'.   20. I was updating our squadron liver server mission to add a SuperCarrier. When I fly from the mission editor or from single player 'mission' I can talk to the tower and get the into I need to land. When I take that same mission and load it on the server, Whenever I communicate with the Carrier it just tells me I am not authorized to land.   22. Mission I am running is a small custom mission, with about 20 BMP-1's and start slots for a the aircraft I have modules for ( A-10C, F/A-18C & the FC3 planes ). Attached.   23. Hi, I'm attempting to set up a new MP Dedicated server. I have it up and running and have been able to get myself and a friend on the server but the lag is horrible. Server info Sever OS unraid 6.6.5 VM Windows 10 pro Ryzen 1800X ( 4 cores & 4 threads assigned to DCS VM ) 64GB ram ( 32GB assigned to DCS VM ) Running on 2 500gb SSD in raid 1 ( 120GB assigned to VM ) VM has its own IP, and port 10308 (UDP/TDP) is forwarded to the VM VM has its on dedicated ethernet card. speedtest.net shows 200-230 down, 20-25 up. I followed this guide to set up the server https://thefraternitysim.com/how-to-properly-setup-a-dcs-world-dedicated-server/ With 2 players on we have constant rubber banding, about every 3-4 seconds. Oddly neither of us are rubber banding on our own screen, it is always the other player rubber banding. I'm seeing a '10' ping to the server, and a solid 80 fps, my friend has a 40-50 ping and a 45 fps ( oculus rift ). I also have the odd problem of once the server is started, I have to restart my DCS session to see the server ( and doesnt always show up then ) I am on a separate machine, though we are sharing our 'external ip'. Any help would be appreciated. My system Ryzen 2700X, 32GB ram, Vega64, installed on SSD.
