  1. I'm not sure that's what he was referring to.
  2. Because it's all voluntary. You not buying for your reasons is perfectly understandable, but as you can see in this forum others of us don't share the same concerns. And that's reasonable too.
  3. That doesn't address what I referenced. You specifically implied your surprise that people are allowed to just up and quit their jobs. But in any case, that hasn't happened (as in taking your money and bailing). I really don't want to come off as lecturing, but you and others are seriously overreacting at this point.
  4. Well, maybe ED will change their mind sometime in the future and provide what you want. In the meantime, it is what it is.
  5. I hate to be "that guy", but the date on the newsletter is wrong. Update: Thanks for satisfying the Admin Officer in me.
  6. Yes, I understand that’s the argument. Unfortunate for you and the others feeling that way, your only recourse is to not buy the map unless ED change their minds. What does this mean?
  7. …AND if you take the refund, I think I remember (but am too lazy to check) they will give you two weeks after EA release to buy it again at the same pre-purchase price.
  8. It's just geography. The Google Machine says it's about 300 miles from Afghanistan to the nearest coast on the Arabian Sea. That's a lot of landscape to model to just to provide carrier operations. And yes, I know people in this thread have said they don't need any real land detail for those 300 miles, but that doesn't seem acceptable for a premium product.
  9. According to ED there are already safeguards in place regarding source code should a 3rd party dev stop supporting.
  10. Thanks for the thorough answer. But there are a few purest who prefer to not use it. I certainly understand using the paddle against a fully exploited Eagle, Tomcat, M2000, etc., but given the F-16 has no such exploits (that I’m aware of) I don’t use it fighting them.
  11. Just make sure your referencing YT videos made since the latest updates.
  12. You should accept @Stackhouse‘s invitation and demonstrate that to them at the DCS Dogfighters server.
  13. Does the F/A-18 pilot need to use the paddle to dominate the F-16 or does it not matter?
  14. I think it can just be as interpreted as they are not obligated to provide a refund. That doesn’t preclude them offering a refund under certain conditions.
  15. Ha ha...yes. I've lost interest in the topic but am fascinated by you. Carry on.
  16. Nope, sorry. You’ve still lost me. It’s probably me, but don’t bother explaining I’ve kind of lost interest.
  17. Not sure how that applies to this discussion, but yes, that’s the word. But we don’t know the circumstances behind that. It’s conceivable that it’s Razbam that was in breach of some agreement.
  18. A couple of employees have but that doesn't represent the position of the company. Also, who knows, things may work themselves out and they might change their minds. We just don't know yet. Sorry, but I don't think you really don't have a justification for a refund yet. Regardless of what has been written, at this time the module is still working as intended.
  19. I don’t think there is any real world documentation for that. But it does seem to be the way the jet behaves in DCS.
