  1. I'm not sure who or has not seen this series...people use to make fun of me for not watching it...I simply replied, "AT LEAST MY MOTHER TOOK ME TO NASCAR!!!"... Seriously, the funniest scene is when the infamous, "TRANSLATOR" SCENE... You know...When the CO takes Meesh to speak to locals desperate to find remnants of Tanks they called airstrikes on the night before... Nothing but "BIG FIREBALLS...AND KILLING ALOT OF WICKED SAND...THE SAND...ITS SO EEEEVIL"
  2. Considering the Huey??? There is an avid DCS proponent who also posts encounters of his on YT...I recommend checking out his vids piloting the Huey...he is rather proficient or seems to be ...although his vids are not tutorials, extremely entertaining including a specific vid of him and his co-pilot "Bob" engaged in air to air combat with the Russian "flying tank"...not sure if he uses the same callsign but on YT is "Hellreign82"---message him I'm sure he would be happy to provide insight :pilotfly:
  3. Stumbled across a YT channel a few weeks ago which has no commentary, daily postings presenting straight forward benchmark comparisons of seemingly any & all components- combinations, options w lot of focus recently on the new AMD CPU-GPUs, Nvidia new products & Intel's existing options-I am going to suggest they do something using DCS...I have no clue if is one person or group of people but regardless the channel name is "TESTING GAMES". I read earlier today an article on Tom's Hardware that the new AMD CPUs will be compatible with existing, older Mobos as they stated a while back (said until 2020) However, I was not clear about what was meant or what referring to when wrote ~ if use/have "a lot of things" to plug into the MOBO (particularly external devices) one should focus on the HEDT platform MOBOs... I can find a link and provide if needed. Hope this helps.
  4. AMD vs Intel is either or...YET what about the new GPUs??? Apologize if posting in the wrong section. Nonetheless, anxious to begin my DCS career so to speak...Does anyone have a GTX 1660Ti using for DCS..if so are u regulated to 1080p or is VR or 2K possible? Also, as the new releases from ED and it's affiliates are launched is 16GB of RAM sufficient or will 32GB be the new standard...if not already? The System Req has been static for some time..including with the latest releases such as the F-14...About to purchase/build just trying to get the best bang for my buck...mainly Mil-Sim; Flight-Sims exclusively...Thx in advance
  5. THX--I REALIZED MY ERROR AFTER THE FACT-- I did make an error in typing...I was severely distracted by an irate:thumbup: wife..so my bad... THANKS FOR POSTING THE PICS YOU HAVE THOUGH...GREAT PICS... WOULD love to see that in person...truly amazing to me...I was amazed how much larger the F22 is vs the MUSTANG...didn't realize that... Any case, I did notice the error but before you pointed it out...so thanks for that and for posting pics...still cool IMO:pilotfly:
  6. BRAIN DEAD--F22s NOT F35s...lesson learned..never post while wife is yelling at you...dangerous to accuracy!!! I'm posting a link to an AWESOME Video which has more than F-22s and is different than any other video w F22s I've ever seen...considering the exercise at the base occurred only last week thought would share it...The Video was posted on March 27, 2019...what makes this video different??? It's not an air show...It's from an active USAF Base in Alaska...The 1st 5 minutes is basically just taxing then it gets interesting after showing F-22s in an Elephant walk..but everything after is the REAL REASON I'M SHARING..in fact can fast forward to around 5:25 minute mark or so is a quick COBRA but then if keep watching will see what I call a modified cobra maneuver is ~6:04...after that is handful of different things I've never seen including an F-22 flying alongside a WarBird...a prestige Mustang no less...any case..Wasn't sure where to Post so apologize if in wrong area..I'm new to DCS..Believe most will enjoy...Disclosure...IT IS NOT MY VID...I just stumbled across it and wanted to share...I saw it on You-Tube...Title of Video is: Two Dozen F-22 Raptor Showcase Overwhelming Combat Airpower During Elephant Walk Link: It looks to be filmed by a civilian or maybe ground crew...The Weather that day was not severe clear..due to being Alaska can't tell if early morning, sunset or what time of day it is..but looks very cold w snow everywhere--also no commentary, no annoying noises, no crowds, no fanfare...just someone w a handheld regular camera...really cool though...hope all enjoy who view it
  7. @ Rudel_chw I noticed you listed the devices you have and what used for...curious..I am inverse of you with respect to have Macs @ home and before closing my business of 21yrs had PCs at my office..in fact lot of PCs (60+) along with 5x HP Powerdedge 710R Servers..I've been desperately trying to figure out if I can use any components of the servers or the virtual workstation PCs for gaming or at the least w minimum expense relatively speaking-I was hoping a motherboard, power supply, RAM, Fans, Case, even all the HD I have could be used with need to only buy a CPU & GPU for DCS (and peripherals)..al the PCs only have i3 CPUs & serves have older intel XEONs...I have no idea if any of the MOBOs could be used..Too much & not sure what to do with it all..but anycase, I noticed ur iMac is the same model as 1 of mine yet you have a i7 CPU??? Did u upgrade from the i3? Also with the i7 CPU would u be able to (if needed) to attach an eGPU, use bootcamp or whatever and run DCS THROUGH ur Mac on the Mac monitor (which is nice monitor) I also have a 21in imac (2011), 2 Macbook-pro, 2 MB Airs (2013)..the MB Air has a i5 CPU but only 2.4ghz so I not going to try a eGPU...I want a PC to game with, edit, record..my "gaming" would be exclusively DCS (perhaps another WWII flight sim) and that's about it...was curious when I saw the i7 in the older iMac...can't wait to get set-up whenever I figure out how to rid myself of all these workstation PCs/Servers...if ED could use let me know or anyone who reading feel free to contact me...email...AUCEO@OUTLOOK.COM
