  1. Hi, I tried running that file using the target GUI and it stopped with a run time error after about 2 minutes?
  2. Thanks guys, it appears to have been a combination of having two different controllers plugged in at the same time and loads of functions mapped to both rudders and hotas together. Thank you for the pointers, Mark
  3. But is it better? I might need the new system? I just want to know what the changes are !!
  4. Ok, it looks like lots of reading time.... ! I just started reading some of the linked threads, but its tricky to see which info is correct and what is outdated by the new patches. Can I just ask, does the new manual product ( which I have, but have not yet read ) take into account the patch changes? Is it possible to summarize the changes ? Is there a read me for the patches installed anywhere that details the changes? I am not being lazy, its just I have very little spare time for this and every minute is valuable... thanks, Mark
  5. Hi, Guys, I am returning to Black shark after a nine month lay off. Before left, I was just about up to speed with using the trim and auto pilot. I have patched my game to version C. However I understand that trim is now implemented differently. Is there a succint and concise explanation of how to use the new trim function anywhere? Or am I going to have to spend the next few days ploughing back through threads here to find the info ? Does it also interact differently with the autopilot now? I carefully downloaded and printed out the KA50 autopilot notes earlier in the year and dont want to start learning stuff again that is wrong. Thank you, mark
  6. thx, will look tomorrow, it was happening right at start of instant action, which I was using to re familiarise. So was not going fast, it was not rotor strike, it was as if the rudder was suddenly slammed right over, even then, i have never seen the helo react that fast to a control input in the sim before... thx, Mark
  7. Hey guys, i justgot myself re installed, after a 6 month break, needless to say, i have forgotten most of my hard learned knowledge. my first problem is that as soon as touch and I mean the tiniest lightest touch my feet onto my rudder pedals, the helo immediately turns upside down and spins into the ground. I cant see anything wrong in the setup options, axis assigned is rz and the rudder function on my CH eclipse yoke works just fine ( I wanted to use my cougar hotas and rudder pedals instead while flying the Helo, as its more realsitic and intuitive) anyone have an idea what might be my issue? i have not managed to fly more than 100 metres yet!! cheers, Mark
  8. Edit, its all down to stupidity!! I forgot my original log in was different. I think the error is as a result of not placing the data1 .cab file in the install as well. Thanks again and sorry to waste your time!
  9. Hi Guys, I have to re install my game as i have built a new PC. The set up file i have gives an error halfway through, so I think I need to re download. However, on my account, I can seee my payment records, but cannot see anywhere where I can re download the file. My email to the support address came back undeliverable. can anyone help me out with the correct procedure ? thanks, Mark
  10. thx dude, had a read through, looks like a step too far for me, seems very complex and people seemed to be having problems getting it installed. I think i will stick with the stock system for the time being, but thx for the pointer. mark
  11. I asked this in the autopilot sticky thread, but got no reply, so am putting it here for better attention! In the thread, there is a long post by Reticuli, in which he refers to a glovepie script he has written and its effect on manouvering. It seemed from the post that this was some kind of add on to use with the Saitek software. ( But I may be mistaken here) Is this correct? If not, what is it and how is it used? Will it help in flying and manouvering the helo? thx, Mark
  12. My sentiments entirely, I have already pre ordered the manual on Amazon, having a fantastic time learning the complexities of this sim, cant wait for future releases!!
  13. Hi Sobel, I meant the system does it, as opposed to the pilot!! I am sure you understand what I meant!! I am just curious how the system will adjust airspeed, if it has no action on the collective, and consequently, how much pilot input is required when in route mode. And thanks for your patience with me !!
  14. Ok thx, it does that by raising or lowering the nose to increase or decrease airspeed? You dont have to do that for it? And what if by raising the nose, you start to rise ( or descend if doing the opposite) Already stated above that the system does not affect the collective, so do you have to input the required collective change yourself after the system raises or lowers the nose to adjust airspeed?
