  1. The late great Joe Bill Dryden describes it here from first-hand experience (page 10). As an old-school F-16 sim pilot my MPO switch is bound to a toggle switch on my WH throttle, 'cos I know I'll need it sometime.
  2. My F-16C module (<volume>:\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\Mods\aircraft\F-16C), completely stock, occupies 1.05GB on my SSD according to Explorer.
  3. I'm going for a -30, as iirc that was the first block introduced with the common engine bay (for either PW or GE motors) which is specifically mentioned in the video. The inlet also looks to be a "big mouth" and the tail feathers look GE, so that's my logic.
  4. The YT algorithm needs serious attention. Not only does it drop unrelated "ad breaks" into openly-sponsored content (I'm watching flight sim footage, wtf do I care about cat food???) but it also makes ridiculous assumptions based on viewing history. I've been watching a lot of historical air warfare documentaries during our latest lockdown so YT has now decided that I'm an ideal customer for Rafael's products. I'm sure they're awesome, but ffs... is a 56yo nerd in a city centre flat really the target market for SPICE/SPIKE/SPYDER? There again, SPYDER might have deterred the d*ckhead in the A400M from flying continuous low circuits over the Inner Moray Firth on Friday afternoon. You weren't squawking or broadcasting a callsign but you *had* to be from Brise. No offence, but why? Don't you have any LFAs in England?
  5. Make sure you've added Pakistan to the relevant coalition when setting up the mission (by default it's "neutral"), then you'll be able to select it as "country" for your F-16C and several PAK liveries will become available, including 11Sqn Arrows.
  6. Likewise. I need to see significant VR gains before I sacrifice my FSSB funds.... ;)
  7. Yup, gave me a nice 833KB .csv which, when imported in LibreOffice, confirmed that 96.5% was indeed the max gpu_power figure recorded during the test.
  8. i9900K and EVGA 2080Ti FTW3 Ultra (both @ stock settings). 2560x1440, 8x MSAA. GPU TDP peaked @ 96.5%. Test hit PWR and VOLT limits but TEMP remained below 65C. About to rerun with "Log GPU data" enabled in the hope of providing more useful empirical results..will update if successful.
  9. You have to update your VA profile with the new keywords imported into Vaicom. Page 36 of the Vaicom user manual has step-by-step instructions.
  10. MAC will function within DCS; this was confirmed by ED's Global Business Development Director in a recent QA session. Video link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zRKL0yZHvwg, @1:53:05
  11. The AGM-88 is great, but the AN/ASQ-213 HTS is what makes the Viper special. Please ED, give us the entire mission package (as far as OPSEC allows) rather than simply a USAF F/A-18C. No offence to Hornet drivers intended, but the "Wild Weasel" nomenclature is there for a reason.
  12. What's your display resolution? 1080p, 1440p, 4k, or VR? I chose the 2080Ti as I was planning ahead for VR. Driving a 32" 1440p display in 2D it's overkill. Is your 9700K air-cooled? Maybe invest in a 360mm AIO (if possible) and push the overclock towards 5GHz? You'll see a noticeable improvement for much less outlay. ;) +1 Noticeably quieter/cooler under full load than the Zotac 2080Ti Amp! that it replaced (under warranty).
