  1. I'm surprised at this recommendation (otherwise a big fan of Mbucchias work and dedication!) but with my system (3090 ftw3, 13700kf, 64gb ddr5) there is no way I can stop the Fixed foveated rendering (in quad view foveated rendering) for the G2 (non-omnicept), to not stutter in lateral side to side movements. test is simple, boot up your choice of A10C2, f16c, or AV8BA (or likely any others I just didn't test more), and move your head laterally side to side - and watch the console/fire handles etc judder along. amazingly small circular movements with your head while looking down at the flight control doesn't cause the issue. Now I realize you might wonder how often one moves side to side, well even looking left to right or vice versa can cause a similar effect. Uninstall quad view foveated rendering (just disabling toolkit doesn't stop it), and try again - perfectly smooth lateral (side to side) movements looking at the consoles of those aircraft.
  2. Glad to hear it is fixed, that was a strange one for sure
  3. Regarding the toolkit, well i disabled it because I wasn't sure where my settings were at with it, and didn't want any conflicting settings, ie: back to somewhat barebones and build on up. Next step will be to slowly reintroduce some of the toolkit settings to see if it's worth utilizing or not. Regarding motion reprojecting, I find the artifacting to be pretty minimal especially with the f16 maybe a little wavering around the eyebrows, and without it (enabled) my 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock stutter the landscape. I'm pretty happy with where things are at, try it out is all I can suggest.
  4. Grodin, I also run a reverb g2, on a 3090, 13700kf, w/64gb ddr5. I do not have your experience at all running dlss, quality preset, dlaa, sharpening at 0.55, pd 1.0 in sim. I disabled the toolkit, but run the openxr tools at 140 percent with motion repro, and prefer frames. I feel I get very little ghosting, and the sim has otherwise never ran better for me. I've mostly been playing the f16. But have done outings in the a10c2 and apache as well.
  5. Ok, this was totally my bad. I've figured out what I was doing wrong and while relatively unrelated to pretense at this point now, and has to do more with my misunderstanding I wanted to post what I found. When I would lay markpoints, I would always wait for the markpoint number on the ded to advance (Ie from 26 to 27)as visual confirmation it took. My problem was in thinking when the DED advanced to 27, it was the markpoint 26 that I had just put in, whereas it was actually markpoint 27 that had just logged. So of course when I went to steerpoint 26 the tgp would look at a location associated with a zone. Pretty silly, but that was my issue.
  6. I've just attempted this again tonight, (getting the f16 to lay markpoints w/ JHMCS) and it finally worked on markpoint 28, after 26 and 27 failed. these are my steps: AG Mode selected HUD with upper left asterisk as sensor of interest TGP pulled up on left MFD, SMS on right JHMCS set full bright Toggle numeric 7 for markpoint on the ICP TMS Up long to get circle in JHMCS pick random spot on the ground I want to land a markpoint press TMS up once to ground stabilize, and then up again to lay the markpoint. visibly check the DED that the markpoint has indeed advanced to "27" from 26 hit the RTN on the ICP Toggle numeric 4 for Steerpoint on the ICP Enter 26 for the steerpoint and press enter attempt everything I can on the TGP (CZ, SP, CZ again, TGT) to get it look at "markpoint 26" instead it will continue to gaze at waypoint 26 which correlates to one of the zones. I'll do this again for markpoint 27 - sometimes it will work, tonight it didn't work until my third go around and finally logged markpoint 28 as one I could look at through the TGP. if anyone can see something I'm doing wrong I'd love to know - having a ton of fun in the mountains taking out the smaller encampments!
  7. Thanks for reply Dzsekeb, I figured it must be finger problems on my end, I'll keep working at it.
  8. Let me preface this by saying I'm not the greatest at the f16 yet. But I'm just curious from other players using the f16, if you are experiencing difficulties laying down markpoints in the markpoint specific range of 26 - 30? I feel like markpoint 26 never takes, sometimes 27 will, and so the whole process has become a bit of a fiddly bit for me to get to work. I feel the underlying issue might be that the waypoints for the different zones go right through 26 to 30 and are pre loaded, and overwriting them with a markpoint is dicey, but then again as I'm fairly new could be just finger problems on my end. This all being said, I'm loving pretense, and some of my best dcs experiences have been playing it!
  9. I'm a reverb g2 v1 owner since being on pre order in canada, before it dropped, on original cable. I honestly never understood all the issues people were having with the cable... I figure most problems must have arose from those that jump about the room beat sabering, or lots of family member headset swapping. Playing seated (sims) and carefully stowing the headset has worked to this point for me. As for you, I would recommend waiting for quest 3, release in the fall, save a couple more pounds until then....
  10. Just wanted to say thanks for pretense! I've been really enjoying it the last couple of nights, and that was without persistance too (which I've set up now). Your dynamic campaign makes the game feel much more alive. Cheers
  11. I get it where the first airfield (Kutaisi) I can contact the ground crews to move in, can visibly see them move in, then in F10 I can announce objective #1 complete, but Senaki is crickets once cleared.... crazy this bug has been around since a year ago? and even with the latest upgrade to this campaign still doesn't work correctly.
  12. Glad you got it going and thanks for testing the issue I've been having. It wouldn't be such a big deal to me (VPN doesnt need to be active when flying either) but its just different behavior then I had in win 10, when I never had to deactivate my VPN. Maybe I'll ask on the forum of "private internet access" might be some Networky types there that know why it's interfering with a local ip/port
  13. Do you have a VPN? I found out recently (still haven't dug deeper) that I have to disable my VPN to get it working.... Symptoms were identical to yours, even tried using other people's versions of export.lua to no benefit.
  14. I figured out my issue with simshaker not getting any input from dcs. It was my VPN. I don't fully understand why that's happening as I've used a VPN and dcs w/ simshaker for years with windows 10. So maybe something different in windows 11 or something changed with the VPN when reinstalled. But I can be playing the game with the dcs debug screen from simshaker open, and as I toggle the VPN off or on, the data (and rumble) coincides with the VPNs state.
  15. Thanks Dos, I tried backing up my existing Export file, and used the lines from yours corresponding to simshaker, unfortunately this still hasn't worked for me, following that I tried another repair of the export file from Simshaker, and it still doesn't work. I've also previously tried deleting the export file altogether and having the sim regenerate it - but still no dice! still seeking a solution.. so strange I've never had issues with simshaker (well I guess it is technically looking more like a DCS issue) until now, but i'm sure missing it in sim! cheers, and thanks for trying to help
  16. thanks for your response Andre, are you talking about the dcs export file that it makes a backup of and then tries to recreate? the contents of that file is as follows (does this look somewhat normal to you?) : local SimShakerlfs=require('lfs'); dofile(SimShakerlfs.writedir()..'Scripts/SimShaker.lua') dofile(SimShakerlfs.writedir()..[[Scripts\SimShaker-export-core\ExportCore.lua]]) pcall(function() local dcsSr=require('lfs');dofile(dcsSr.writedir()..[[Mods\Services\DCS-SRS\Scripts\DCS-SimpleRadioStandalone.lua]]); end, nil) dofile(lfs.writedir()..[[Scripts\SimShaker-export-core\ExportCore.lua]]) local SimShakerlfs=require('lfs'); dofile(SimShakerlfs.writedir()..'Scripts/SimShaker.lua') local Tacviewlfs=require('lfs');dofile(Tacviewlfs.writedir()..'Scripts/TacviewGameExport.lua') I mean I only use SRS, and Tacview ? (i also use open kneeboard and voiceattack, but they aren't referenced in the export file) not exactly super different apps that the majority of other people would use? I tested it tonight with simconnect with the "other sim" and it works fine... I just can't get it working with DCS, I even tried the old 2.5.10 version, no-go - so back to 2.6.3
  17. First of all thanks for your reply Andre, I appreciate your time and your software! as to your question, I do not see anything in the dcs debug window, just a blank page. if I select "effect monitor" it also says "error: no active connection/aircraft to monitor" in the log page (settings not the dcs debug) I get: 21:28:40.3252 SimShaker for Aviators Beta Version 2.6.3.0 21:28:40.3252 ********** DCS World Open Beta version folder found in Saved Games ********** 21:28:40.3252 DCS.openbeta export feature setup: SimShaker.lua added to C:\Users\xxxxx\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Scripts 21:28:40.3252 DCS.openbeta export feature setup: ExportCore.lua added to C:\Users\xxxxx\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Scripts\SimShaker-export-core 21:28:40.3252 DCS.openbeta export feature setup: ExportDevice.lua added to C:\Users\xxxxx\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Scripts\SimShaker-export-core 21:28:40.3252 DCS.openbeta export feature setup: KeyValueStore.lua added to C:\Users\xxxxx\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Scripts\SimShaker-export-core 21:28:40.3292 DCS.openbeta export feature setup: Network.lua added to C:\Users\xxxxx\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Scripts\SimShaker-export-core 21:28:40.3292 DCS.openbeta export feature setup: Protocol.lua added to C:\Users\xxxxx\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Scripts\SimShaker-export-core 21:28:40.3292 local Tacviewlfs=require('lfs');dofile(Tacviewlfs.writedir()..'Scripts/TacviewGameExport.lua') call found in C:\Users\xxxxx\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Scripts\Export.lua 21:28:40.3292 local SimShakerlfs=require('lfs'); dofile(SimShakerlfs.writedir()..'Scripts/SimShaker.lua') call found in C:\Users\xxxxx\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Scripts\Export.lua 21:28:40.3292 dofile(lfs.writedir()..[[Scripts\SimShaker-export-core\ExportCore.lua]]) call found in C:\Users\xxxxx\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Scripts\Export.lua 21:28:40.3292 ********** Custom DCS World configuration found ********** 21:28:40.3292 DCS.openbeta export feature setup: SimShaker.lua added to C:\Users\xxxxx\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Scripts 21:28:40.3292 DCS.openbeta export feature setup: ExportCore.lua added to C:\Users\xxxxx\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Scripts\SimShaker-export-core 21:28:40.3292 DCS.openbeta export feature setup: ExportDevice.lua added to C:\Users\xxxxx\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Scripts\SimShaker-export-core 21:28:40.3292 DCS.openbeta export feature setup: KeyValueStore.lua added to C:\Users\xxxxx\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Scripts\SimShaker-export-core 21:28:40.3292 DCS.openbeta export feature setup: Network.lua added to C:\Users\xxxxx\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Scripts\SimShaker-export-core 21:28:40.3292 DCS.openbeta export feature setup: Protocol.lua added to C:\Users\xxxxx\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Scripts\SimShaker-export-core 21:28:40.3292 local Tacviewlfs=require('lfs');dofile(Tacviewlfs.writedir()..'Scripts/TacviewGameExport.lua') call found in C:\Users\xxxxx\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Scripts\Export.lua 21:28:40.3292 local SimShakerlfs=require('lfs'); dofile(SimShakerlfs.writedir()..'Scripts/SimShaker.lua') call found in C:\Users\xxxxx\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Scripts\Export.lua 21:28:40.3292 dofile(lfs.writedir()..[[Scripts\SimShaker-export-core\ExportCore.lua]]) call found in C:\Users\xxxxx\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Scripts\Export.lua 21:28:40.6397 Latest available release is: SimShaker for Aviators Beta 2.6.3 21:30:19.0250 ********** Repair DCS World export.lua ********** 21:30:19.0250 SimShaker for Aviators Beta Version 2.6.3.0 21:30:19.0250 ********** DCS World Open Beta version folder found in Saved Games ********** 21:30:19.0250 SimpleRadio call found in C:\Users\xxxxx\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Scripts\Export.lua 21:30:19.0250 TacView call found in C:\Users\xxxxx\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Scripts\Export.lua where xxxxx - is my username. 18. Hi I am having issues, ever since upgrading my computer to win11, and some hardware (new mobo/cpu/ram etc). I am still using Reverb G2 for VR and main sound, and the motherboards realtek audio device to drive the buttkicker. the issue: DCS does not seem to detect Simshaker for Aviators Beta (Version 2.6.3.0) - I get the error System.InvalidOperationException: No process is associated with this object. If I open the sound module, and run a test - I get the rumble, but no matter what jet I pick in DCS, Simshaker for Aviators Beta does not change away from the default A10C. nor do I feel any bass-shaking activity, after a while the buttkicker just goes to sleep. I've tried doing a DCS repair Export but this didn't help, I've tried to open simshaker for Aviators beta before opening dcs, I've also tried closing and reopening Simshaker for aviators beta while DCS is running to see if it "kickstart" the connection - but it's just like it doesn't know i'm even playing DCS. if anyone has any suggestions i'm willing to try! Edit: i've also tried a DCS repair, I've tried running 2.6.0.0 (non-beta) - this gets me "more" logging in the event window but still ends with "connection to TCP server closed" I'm not sure if it's supposed to say that or not, and definitely no rumbles to the seat or auto-switching aircraft despite the test function working for the sound module. I also tried running both beta and non beta with the windows firewall disabled temporarily. thanks
  19. hi there, since 2.8 i'm seeing an odd triangle on the TGP - in VR (using a reverb G2, with openxr) instant action -> Georgia, winter, medium - set the tgp to AG, select waypoint 2, slave all sensors to spi. the two trucks will have this strange triangle, it looks like a shadow maybe of some sort. playing around last night I had it occur in a few differing circumstances. I've attached a screenshot of the abnormality. hope this info helps.
  20. I saw another guy ask the question quite a few pages back and now I've lost the post, but does anyone else experience the f11 key not working following installation of the mod? I don't think the tools itself is suspect, as I've had the tools installed but disabled and the behavior remains the same but my f11 key (usually used for backing out of radio menu options). No longer works... Anyone else experience that or a workaround?
  21. If you go to page 16 and scroll down until you see my username, I answered this for a guy and it seemed to work (specifically error -13) in our cases it had to do with remnant files from other vr mods
  22. I had a -13 last night (not sure if the rest of the error message you have matches mine) I had to rename an old lingering d3d11.dll to *.bak, and I still had vrperfkit.yml in my directory, once I fiddled/removed those it seemed to go ahead. I also hadn't performed a repair though, which I assume would get rid of that stuff automatically?
  23. Wow. I'm impressed. I'm not your typical VR user, as in, i'm running/suffering on pretty antiquated pc hardware at this point, a 5820K, with 32gbs of ram, a reverb G2, and wait for it - an EVGA 970. I've been wanting to upgrade my video card as I got the reverb g2 at launch, but alas due to first shortages, and now potentially waiting for the next gen - here I am. I haven't been one to shy away from mods in the past using OVGME to install and remove them, I never have much to lose, it either works or it doesn't. Most don't offer any performance for my old card, but I did like VR Sharpen Color IGM V2, mostly for the contrast/sharpening in the cockpit. Let me say this though, and caveat it with a few things, namely I'm at 60hz, and have never got to enjoy the clarity users of finer graphical card riches have enjoyed, so my experience is definitely not on par with some of yours... but wow! what a difference from running SteamVR, first of all the load times are great, no flickering in the loading screens! NO Flickering! unbelievable, then I get into the sim, and i'm used to playing with Sub 20fps, I didn't look at what the FPS is now, but it is many steps above where it was before for me - a bit of jagged stuttery mess as you can imagine with such an old video card at the helm. I took off in the apache and hovered about and my jaw just dropped for my old 970 to play like this. I'm still at 2x MSAA, and my custom render scale is at 35% (I was at 34% in SteamVR) and it still looks clearer than SteamVR ever did. I can't wait to get a new video card, run at 90hz, and push the clarity way further. well done to whichever team is behind this, and I really hope this is something ED can embrace and run with. dburne, don't be scared of a mod, try it out with your many headsets!
  24. I do... thanks for pointing that out - I think i remember reading somewhere now, that it won't work like that correct? going to give it a try now. thanks again! update: tested and works.
