  1. I stopped using the controllers when I got a PointCtrl, but I did like them before I got that for clicking switches. One suggestion I saw, but never tried, was to put a long string between the two controllers and drape it over your neck.
  2. Feel free to ask what seem to be basic questions. How else are you going to learn?https://xkcd.com/1053/ What software hardware are you using to drive the potentiometer? Is it attached to an Arduino? A Bondar board?
  3. There appears to have been a major update on December 16th. https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/news/changelog/openbeta/2.8.1.34437/
  4. Chuck's Guide has a list of the the controls for the A10. https://www.mudspike.com/chucks-guides-dcs-a-10c-warthog/
  5. I use the Warthog paddle switch as a modifier.
  6. You can assign HOTAS keys to scroll the Vaicom Pro kneeboard, but you have to do it through VoiceAttack.
  7. Further up in the thread, I saw the comment about checking the "allow other commands to run" on my other commands. I tried that and it hasn't happened since. I haven't flown a lot, but it was happening regularly. Sent from my moto g stylus 5G using Tapatalk
  8. I am also still having this problem. I will have to try the Vaicom reset shortcut, in lieu of a solution. Sent from my moto g stylus 5G using Tapatalk
  9. I tried this, but now my usable mouse area is tiny for clicking anything in the cockpit. And it didn't even encompass the exit to desktop button and had to force quit from Windows. Has anyone else seen this and figured out a work around? Thanks! Sent from my moto g stylus 5G using Tapatalk
  10. I did try them all. I did manage to get them to try and engage with "Engage Mission and rejoin," but they never fired a single missile and eventually got shot down. It feels like a DCS AI bug, which is a bummer since I enjoyed the campaign. Sent from my moto g stylus 5G using Tapatalk
  11. I am trying to play the Cypress Incident campaign with the Gazelle, and for the life of me I cannot get my Wingman to engage. There is a huge line of trucks in front of us, and they just tell me unable. Does anyone have any suggestions? I realize this might just be DCS AI problems. Thanks!
  12. That seems to be a common problem with that stick. I had to exchange mine when it first arrived for the same problem. Sent from my moto g stylus 5G using Tapatalk
  13. I actually use Voiceattack to bind it to a HOTAS button. Sent from my moto g stylus 5G using Tapatalk
  14. I believe they are referring to the new South Atlantic map. Sent from my moto g stylus 5G using Tapatalk
  15. I managed to break one of my V1 battery chargers. Does anybody know the PN or specs so I can search for a replacement? Sent from my moto g stylus 5G using Tapatalk
  16. I had a question about this in another thread. Here is an updated picture. I got a 3d printer, so I printed a new head. I am tempted to shorten the arm slightly and reduce it's angle a little more, but it is currently working, and that is a big plus when it comes to using it. 17. This is think to the thread where I built it. /topic/213590-hall-effect-sensors-for-diy-collective/ Sent from my moto g stylus 5G using Tapatalk
  18. I am just now getting into the F-14. Is the ball correct on Forrestal, or do we need to fly it like in the Super Carrier? Sent from my moto g stylus 5G using Tapatalk
  19. I have a homemade collective, so I cannot speak to Virpil, but I have had two "Wow!" moments with DCS. The first was trying VR for the first time and the second was flying a helicopter with a collective. To me it felt so much more natural and real compared to a throttle. 20. On the Super Carrier you need to salute first. There is a keybind and I also believe it is accessible through the comms menu. Sent from my moto g stylus 5G using Tapatalk
  21. I even have a dedicated collective for helicopters, but when I first started flying the Harrier, the amount of times I would go full throttle on touchdown was ridiculous. My brain now seems to figured that out and it knows to go to idle know. Sent from my moto g stylus 5G using Tapatalk
  22. You can buy an addon for the Warthog stuck without the mounting plate. https://wheelstandpro.us/z-joystick-adapter-js-returns-refunds-unavailable-for-parts/ Sent from my moto g stylus 5G using Tapatalk
  23. I was also told when I started flight training that polarized glasses reduce the glint of sun off of other aircraft so it is harder to see other aircraft. That was in addition to the issue with modern screens blacking out at certain angles. I have no idea how much truth there is in this statement. Sent from my moto g stylus 5G using Tapatalk
  24. Thanks. I did verify that it is set to the correct version, and also reset the lua. It happened one time after that, but then I played several missions with no issues. Sent from my moto g stylus 5G using Tapatalk
  25. The first thing I always do in the Harrier and the Hornet is turn off the off the map and just use the HSI on a black background. Sent from my moto g stylus 5G using Tapatalk
