  1. what was the problem, mine is crashing too solved mine by undoing aggressive overclock on CPU
  2. 72hz - worked, but too much stutter. Framerate counter from OpenXR toolkit stayed on 36/37 fps, so it should have been smoother. And it kind of was smooth, but there were a too noticeble amount of stutter. I won´t use Smart smoothing in DCS with Crystal running at 72hz unless some one comes up with an idea to make it work better. Now with the 72hz update I run DCS in 72hz mode in higher resolution. No smart smoothing of course since I don’t need it. And it looks incredible. Seriously - I didn’t dream about VR looking so good just a year ago I dont understand PeeDee...is it good or is it bad?
  3. i always monitored with msi afterburner graphs....never were any of the 8 cores running at less than 6.0. so I dont think throttling was taking place...it is interesting that the power draw is roughly the same with the 4 cores slowed to 3.2
  4. I don't think I was power limited with 1000 watt psu. Parking the E cores is not the variable that made the difference...it was taking 4 P cores to 3.2
  5. just experimented. 13900ks and 4090 was giving me around 60 fps with my settings...I had E Cores disabled in bios and 8 P Cores at 6.0...changing nothing else,,, I used Intel Extreme Tuning Utility and left cores 1 thru 4 at 6.0 and took cores 5 thru 8 to 3.2. FPS jumped to mostly steady 90 fps in multiple scenarios....can anyone duplicate? Before: 8 P cores at 6.0; 8 E cores parked = 60fps After: 4 P cores at 6.0; 4 P cores at 3.2; 8 E cores parked = 90fps let me emphasize...the only change i made was taking 4 P cores down to 3.2 from 6.0
  6. But your graph shows the mkII moving 5mm with 13 lbs vs the r3l moving 2mm with 13 lb pull. Has stick physical travel been increaseed?
  7. i had trouble wit my vrs sim racing wheel. my nlr v3 was conflicting in some way beyond my understanding...the tech at vrs said "The PIDs are different. So they probably registered their PID with STM. I used a random PID for the prerelease units before I applied for a PID from STM. The config app still looks for the old PID to support our early testers to update the firmware. In this last .exe I removed the support for the old PID. I should include this in the next release. (edited) [10:28 PM] Ok, so we have this sorted! I should still figure out why it choked otherwise " he had to supply me with a custom firmware or config file to bypass conflict
  8. Ive seen the question asked, but i could not find the answer. Some Aircraft SOMETIMES lose functionality after im shot down and i relaunch the jet via select role. i dont leave the server or back out of dcs in any way. I have to remove my reverb, alt tab to get the mouse free, shut down simshaker and the sound module, and restart simshaker to restore function. Any suggestions? thank you. im flying f5 but happens in all airccraft about 80% of the time.
  9. when i went from oculus to reverb, i changed from a distant vision prescription to my 30 inch computer desk prescription. Each headset has its own focal length, although i think most are out to infinity, reverb is not.
  10. so the F5 is such a uniqe aircraft that a large number of people are ripping the wings off....why isnt this happening to the other aircraft?
  11. lots of people are ripping the wings off, who cares why, it doesnt happen to other dcs aircraft with this frequency. either make all of them rip the wings off like the f5 if you claim its realistic, or fix the f5.
  12. if I am content to run with motion smoothing forced on, is it safe to go past 11ms frame times and just target staying well clear of 22ms?
  13. i only get black screen with dcs. other apps are fine
