  1. I salute your decade long dedication for our sake, @Silver_Dragon. Thank you for keeping us updated on the state of things! This post deserves to be in the hall of fame!
  2. Check it out for yourself. This is in MP at 4YA aerobatic server. (Also if they did this, then its not a bug)
  3. I can testify to the client copilot not being able to operate the weapons. Honestly the updates to the Huey seems abit far in between, its like the huey has been forgotten all together.
  4. I know that my question has most likely been asked several times, and i can only guess that you want to keep it as vanilla as possible, but i'll give it a shot anyways: Any plans on implementing the UH-60 & Hercules mod? (perhaps on a modded SAR server). The UH-60 despite being a user-created mod, is actually a very fun and complicated aircraft to fly, also its a UH-60, one of the coolest helicopter ever conceived by any helicopter manufacturer. The hercules would be pretty neato to transport large quantities of supplies from a main supply airfield to operational hospital airfields & FARP bases, as the hercules is brilliant at landing in grassy fields and unformed land. But i guess i can reckon the answer, stability of servers and all. Thanks! -Tesla
  5. Thats gotta be the worst graphical visualisation of keybinds ive seen for any module in DCS..
  6. I cant get George to fire either. I get the same issue, Weapons ARMED, George's selected weapon is AGM hellfire and tads is slewed to the selected ground target, Colour is green, consent to fire is pressed, George says "Engaging", however no AGM is fired off. I was way below the 10km mark. George will fire off guns and rockets, but not Hellfires. I have no idea what im doing wrong, or if George just works 50% of the time.
  7. After i installed this, whenever i get negative G, im left with a red ring in my peripheral which never goes away until i quit DCS entirely, so sadly this isnt gonna work for me.
  8. Ah man that looks very nice. I have accumulated over 3800 hours in the Huey since '13 and i would absolutely love a setup like this. I must say if i would have made this, i'd go all the way and get the co-pilot side fitted aswell, for flying physically with friends, but thats just me. Alas, as i live in Norway, getting parts such as this is very hard, but eventually i'll make a Hueycockpit aswell when i get the time and funds. Beautifully done nevertheless!
  9. I'd pay for an updated module, for sure. I got close to 4000 hours in the Huey alone. If we get a UH-1N i'd be livid, and i'd pay a nifty price for it too. The UH-1H is outdated in todays standard, however sadly devs seems less than likely to even bat it an eye at this point.
  10. If you are experiencing what i call the pendulum effect during slingloading, the oscillating effect of the slingload, you'd want to be ahead of the curve, sort of speak. If you're hovering or slowly into forward flight, you'd want to wait till the load is at one side, say right, you'll notice it when the helicopter banks left with the loads weight, then when the load is swinging left, you pull left stick with the load. This will cancel out the swing of the load and position your load right beneath you. You can test this out yourself with a yoyo or a string with a weight attached to it to you finger. Same principle is in effect when slingloading.
  11. no im using no mods at all, so its weird..
  12. So i enter the server i want, and 5+ minutes goes into just DCS loading (Im in VR, always). Then when i choose and get in my desired aircraft (Huey in my case) it takes another 5, up to 10 minutes before the cockpit loads in, so im sitting in thin air. While its loading in i can still toggle switches and buttons however the forward compartment of the aircraft is gone. While this is happening i get 40-70 FPS, also the same amount of FPS after the cockpit has loaded in. This is slightly boring, to have to wait on the tarmac for 10 minutes before even startup of the aircraft because you're sitting in thin air because the cockpit takes ages to load. Valid performance bug ?
  13. Well this is news to me. But in all fairness it would be cool with a twin engine huey, despite its performance issues. But the most important bit of all, is that the current UH-1H gets a sorely needed graphical update, same with the MI8. perhaps if were lucky ED will upgrade the systems on the Huey aswell, giving us all of the features the huey originally got when it was in its glorydays.
  14. Any plans on fixing the runway ILS' on the map ? There is a few runways where the ILS system is inoperable, most notably Kobuleti. I cant seem to connect to it in the F16, F5 nor the UH-1H Huey. Or am i doing something wrong ?
  15. Yes ofcourse. I fly still with the CV1, but i'll upgrade to the G2 eventually or if a better headset comes along after a while. I'm also aiming for the Virpil collective set that comes out this year if they arent priced too high.
  16. So we can hope our outdated UH-1H Huey is, well.. outdated.. And as such, as we've seen with the A-10CII and the cancelled KA-50 upgrade (Due to Russia's new military information law), aswell as after the work on the AH-64D and the Hind, would a Huey 2.0 eventually come out ? And would we get an upgrade to the aircraft itself, perhaps a UH-1N Twin Huey? Heres to really hoping for the better. As a guy who have way over 3000 hours in the Huey since its '13 release, it is my most played aircraft in DCS, and too long have the UH-1H been neglected and overseen (yes we got Multicrew and i am grateful, however on the grander scale thats peanuts compared to the other more pressing matters). I believe, since ED has revealed nothing about the Huey (i guess they play their cards very close) i believe the time has come for ED to consider upgrading the oldest module currently in DCS. I think all of us who love the Huey, even as an icon and a legend, deserve an upgrade.
  17. Thrustmaster A-10C Warthog Throttle and Joystick, Thrustmaster Pendular Rudder Pedals and Rift CV1 VR Headset. I removed the middle spring in the joystick (if you got one, and you fly helos, remove it, thank me later) to get more authentic feel for the cyclic, left throttle for throttle, right throttle for collective. It works fairly well.
  18. Yesterday i reached an altitude of 26,000 feet. Calm weather, calm wind, temp above 10k was -10C and dropping. According to the official Flight Characteristic charts, a huey utility helicopter have a max altitude of 14k feet, 10k without oxygen masks. *Shrug* Video of the accurance
  19. As a rotorhead who have flown the huey since day 1, there is alot to be desired. Work on the huey, as we all know after all these years, are very much slow going or even halted at times. We can wish, desire and hope all we want, but the timeframe we're dealing with here is nearing a decade, not just months or years. I fear that we wont see much "update" to the huey, other than the recent multicrew, for a long, long time.
  20. Im gonna go on a limb here and say UH-60 Blackhawk.. Just a shot in the air..
