  1. Request option to map countermeasure OFF, SNGL, MULTI, and PRGM as unique actions. Currently we can map rotating the mode knob left or right by one click, but I have a 4 position selector knob on my controller and I'd like to map all four locations to the above. Thanks in advance
  2. It would be really nice to have the option to map things like peforming a Master Arm or a Selective Jettison to a single button instead of needing a preceeding action/button to open the covers. A physical pilot would lift the cover and flip the switch in one combined action, but I'm just flying around with the covers open on these types of switches so I don't have to use the mouse in critical moments. It sort of breaks immersion for me. Heatblur offers a combined action on their F14 Master Arm switch for an example of what I mean. One button press on my controller and the cover opens and the switch is turned on in a single animation. It's a slick implementation and I would love something like that in this jet for Master Arm, Jettison Buttons, Stick Disconnect, Nose Wheel Steering Switch, Engine Starter... really any button that has a cover, which is a quite a few in this bird.

  3. Interesting stuff. It would certainly make bombing via depression tables easier if you could line up the target with the 10° or 20° line, for example. But the lines are just arbitrarily placed on the HUD in the Standard Mode. We have a flight path indicator in Approach Mode but not in the Standard Mode. Also, upon further investigation, the horizon line in Approach Mode appears to coincide and the 10° increments are accurately placed I think. Maybe I should be performing bombing and rocket attacks in Approach Mode. Edit: Brems just covered most of that last part. We were typing at the same time I guess
  4. I'm not sure that I understand the pitch ladder on the Mirage F1 HUD. Why does the 0° line not coincide with the horizon like it does on the HUDs of other jets? I couldn't find the answer in the manual. See attached image.. I'm at nearly 0° pitch on the HUD ladder and I am in level flight (note my climb rate is near 0 ft/min on the vertical speed indicator), but the 0° position on the HUD is in the dirt some 15-20° below the actual horizon. I tried adjusting the seat height to see if that made a difference, but it doesn't really change anything. To be clear... I'm not saying it's modeled incorrectly. I just don't understand why it's different on the F1 than other aircraft where the 0° line is right on the physical horizon.
  5. Sweet. Thanks for explaining
  6. I don't know exactly why, but this is the only jet in DCS that I can't map my cutoff/idle on the throttle axis. I have a winwing taurus, and if I try to map IDLE/CUTOFF like the other jets, it fouls the start procedure when I bring it out of cutoff to idle. The jet shuts down shortly after start. So I have to leave it unmapped and click the virtual throttle lever with the mouse. It works fine, but it's just not as nice as moving the physical throttle out of CUTOFF like I can with every other module. Please provide us with an option that works like the other modules. It would be greatly appreciated by a lot of us I think. I'm not certain, but I think the others work as an "else" function, such that the jet is in CUTOFF as long as the switch is held on, else the throttle advances to idle when switch is turned OFF.
  7. Or even better... put them on the white label under the HUD. Isn't that what it's for? Listing COMM freqs? I dunno... guessing it is.
  8. Agree with Harlikwin... the progressive damage model is one of the most impressive parts of this module. I'd really like to see others follow in your footsteps, because It really makes me as the pilot want to learn how the mechanics of the aircraft systems work at a higher level so that Emergency Procedures can be used and/or improvised after failures to save the aircraft. Reading about the Arthur system came in handy when I had hydraulic failures and it was immensely rewarding to apply that knowledge to decouple the stick and then get the bird home successfully after past experiences had shown me I would eventually lose control authority if I didn't take action. Also, I think this is the only plane I've had to use the emergency gear handle so far. You guys are making a great module.
  9. This has saved me many times.
  10. Awesome.
  11. What does the AMPLI selector do? I've wondered this for a while. I think it's in the Mirage 2K also.
  12. I betcha this is it. The only time my alignment failed and i saw the red light OP references was when I was loading weapons. Notably, repeating the stored heading alignment resulted in another red light. I had to perform a full alignment to rectify my jet.
  13. Thanks FYI still getting 502 error on client launch here. it went away for a while but it's back. Looks like they're still working on it.
  14. Where are you getting those updates? I want to subscribe to them. Thanks
  15. Where do we monitor status on this, aside from spamming this board? Is there a twitter or something similar that will announce when servers are back up?
  16. Thank you
  17. Dumb question. Which way do you set the selector switch for Magics vs Sidewiders. Is M for Magic and A for Sidewinder? Struggling to find this in the manual.
  18. If it happens again, I will look for a crashlog. I just tried and it worked fine now. Crashfest last week and prior attempts over the last few months, but all seems to be functioning at the moment.
  19. I am getting frequent DCS freezes when I try to map controls. Seems to occur mostly with the F1C, much less so with F1E. I don't have this issue with any other modules. Occurs whether I use in game mapping options or from the main menu. Seems to happen when i try to map something, or if I press an already mapped button to "go to" the existing mapping.
  20. Dumb question... do I unzip the final folder into it's destination or leave it zipped? I don't install mods ever, but this one is needed badly
  21. Have a three-way switch for flaps. Center position would be nice to map to half flaps.
  22. please
