  1. Hello, Intel i9 64gb RTX 4090 rig (Alienware R15) that's really having no issues running DCS World. One anomaly myself and others I fly with have noted is sometimes we get some random cut outs, for a brief second or two. It doesn't affect our Discord conversations and I can't seem to spot in the task manager or the FPS details any blips when this happens. Meaning, I don't see this being a performance lag/pause from the cpu or gpu. It'll happen for a brief second or two - fine - a few minutes later it may happen a couple times. I know this report sounds more like a bigfoot or ufo sighting - not much data or proof! But my squaddies suggested I post it here. I mentioned it on a Facebook post a while back and a few others chimed it, noting they experience it too and can't seem to nail down the source. So - I thought I would mention it here. Again, it only seems to affect the background engine noise for me. In the F-16 and the A-10A.
  2. Yeah the search doesn't always bring up relevant hits, so someone posting snarky comments like that is less than helpful. Also - the beams show up as black for me. They really stand out.   3. Running MT version on 4YA server last night. First time refueling from the S-3 in the F-14 and I expected a challenge and my FPS (VR) has been great. But for some reason, as I would approach the S-3, I was getting some jumpy video/lagging suddenly. Is the S-3 optimized / working OK? Anyone else experiencing any issues?
  4. That's interesting. I definitely have it locked up for way longer than that and encounter the issue mentioned. I locked the target up in VIS mode and move the TGP and zoom in on the target. I'll do some more testing.
  5. I've used BogeyDope's tutorials over on YouTube to learn how to mark and drop the JDAM bombs via the TGP. Using a tank as an example, I would put the cross hair at the very base of the tank tread and the 500 pound JDAM would score a direct hit. Lately, I am hitting short of the target. Using the zoom and the VR zoom to verify, I am just touching the base of the vehicle. If I put the crosshair on the tank itself, the bomb will overfly the target. I am (correctly) using the range slider on the right side of the HUD and drop from 15K or so, depending on cloud cover. Has anything changed in the recent releases that changed how JDAMs hit? I'm also finding it hard to find the target via the TGP at times, whether in TV or the IR modes. Thanks! I appreciate your help!

  7. Prior to the update, the Maverick lock on/ fine tune via the MFD screen worked great. Now, when using the cursor to adjust what the Maverick is locked onto, nothing will "lock" (Not even the annoying telephone poles or fences!) It was dawn on the 4YA server while flying but with IR Mavericks, ,it shouldn't have mattered?
  8. Yes, i noticed this as well. I dropped two CBU97s on a group of tanks in the F-16 last night. Many beautiful explosions but no kills. Meanwhile in Ukraine, a $79 FPV drone with a small warhead is tearing up T72s, T-80s and the like with ease.
  9. I've seen this in multiple aircraft (AV-8B, A-10A and F-16). Flying on a 4YA Server that has a JTAC overhead, I keep seeing a long vertical black line that stays for several seconds. On the pro side, it sure makes a great waypoint to fly to traget! i wasn't sure where to report this so here it is!
  10. I thought I would stick this under General to make it easy! I flew Multi Thread (Beta) tonight on VR. I was on the 4YA Multi-Player Servers. Overall a really great experience. Issues I had - I noticed while taxi-ing around the HUD characters had a noticeable blurring effect. Hitting F2, I could view my airplane fine. Viewing others, I got the blurring/shimmer/shaking effect. Hitting F6 to see missiles in flight, the same blurring/shimmer/shaking effect. While maneuvering around an enemy base that had JTAC and red smoke, sometimes I would get a black vertical line appear from the smoke. I wasn't able to screenshot this. Here's my settings in the screen shot below. p.s. Using Oculus Quest Pro, OpenXR native to Oculus, Foveated Rendering plug in (in case this helps debug?) p.s.s. I used to work in software development so I hope I gave enough details to appease the dev gods! p.s.s.s. - Wow even the screen shot from 2D is a bit blurry!

While I do not have a Crystal, I have a Meta Quest Pro and have been using the Fovated Rendering from here (https://github.com/mbucchia/Quad-Views-Foveated/wiki) It usually works very well for me but last night, in one of the 4YA Servers, I was getting all sorts of stuttering and noticed OpenXR Toolkit kept flashing "CPU Bound" in red. My rig in a new Intel i9 13900k, 64gb, RTX 4090 with VR settings set to high. I installed the latest Beta update yesterday and after updating, as usual, went ahead and ran Multi Thread DCS I'm running the Quest Pro at 90hz and maxxed resolution and again, usually no issues. 4YA had the Syria map with about 20 players. I don't know if this was a fluke, issue with the new beta or a setting I need to look over?
  12. Question about this mod.... First, it's been fun! One of our squaddies adores this airplane and it's his favorite. Just made sure I had the latest build a while back Problem....on the CV Stennis, doing 11 knots and one waypoint, the A-4E starts as "On Runway" but for some reason, despite all our efforts, none of us can hook up. Left ALT 1 gives no message as to how far we are from locking in. I just went through the map we like to fly and I'm not spotting any obvious issues. I tried changing from "on Runway" to "Parking Hot" to see if that was a problem. No change. Any help appreciated! Thank you!
  13. I wonder how the 4YA server is doing it. I'm trying to wrap my mind around the event/trigger(s) that would have to setup to do it
  14. I have heard a lot of conflicting answers on this, so perhaps someone can help me find the right one. I can't recall the name of the server my squad has flown a few times (starts with a 4, we think)....but it was a lot of fun and once all the ground targets were destroyed, the airbase was captured and available as a new coalition base. I haven't tried any of the scripting tools, only what is available in the map editor itself. I see that airbases can be captured based on the options, but it appears to be only via ground forces? My experience has been we can only make it neutral after enemy forces have been removed. Ideally, I would like to stick to the map editor and if learning the scripting program is the only way, show me where and how, please!
  15. I have been following this great tutorial and it seemed to be going well... However, the Sound to All and Message to All on base captures are not working. And the enemy base turns neutral, not Blue. Help :)
