  1. Just an update: I received instructions from Slaw via email. And was able to complete the calibration. Had to set the center dead zone at 5.0 for the rudder axis and the upper dead zones for the brakes at 2.5. All working fine now. Also an updated video with the new software is supposed to be posted on youtube in a few days. Appreciate the good service Slaw provides.
  2. Just received these pedals and am having problems with the calibration. Dummy that I am, I can't figure out the proper sequence in calibrating the pedals. No instructions were give given and can't find any on Slaw's web page and the video on his youtube channel only shows an older version of his calibration software. Have made several attempts and the brake axis are fine but the rudder axis centering is off even with a 4.5% deadzone. Have attached image of calibration screen. Hopefully someone here who already has these pedals can help me figure out what to do. Thanks!
  3. Both are very good. But I agree with Guppy. If I could only pick one it would be the TPR.
  4. Good luck. Expect a long wait even if they do go back in production. My order shipped on May 7 and still have not received it. Latest tracking info showed it left Netherlands on May 11.
  5. Finally had a chance to check this out on the WIN 10Pro computer that has my Thrustmaster gear on it. I don't see a problem with displaying controllers in the TARGET Device Analyzer. Please see attached images. Image #1 shows the device analyzer. Image #2 Shows a Win10 update I still have not installed. Image #3 Shows recently installed updates. I have all but the rudder pedals plugged into a USB 2 10 port powered hub. The pedals are plugged into a Inateck Superspeed 7 Ports PCI-E to USB 3.0 Expansion Card. Edited: Just want to add that I went ahead and updated to the latest version of Win10 and still see all controllers in the Device Analyzer. So looks like my original thought that this issue might be related to different versions of Win10 was wrong.
  6. I would agree. If moving up from CH or TM entry level pedals, this would be the next best step.
  7. To each their own. I would never get rudder pedals without toe brakes.
  8. Would second that. Especially if one lives in the US. Currently selling for $118 on amazon. The VKB pedals with shipping cost $268.
  9. Maybe it would be helpful to see if this issue is tied to a particular version of Win10.
  10. Slaw's latest model is the RF Dora V2.: Total cost including shipping to US was just over $570. Received a set a few weeks ago. Now my favorite pedals.
  11. Order #3277 arrived. Had ordered two. Both installed and working great. No issues with the calibration. Would highly recommend. Didn't have any issue removing old sensors. But I did have a problem with one of the installations: the wires running up into the joystick handle came loose from the board. Had to take off bottom of throttle and pull the wires further up into the handle so that I could plug them back into the board. Have attached image of the wires after I pulled them further into the handle.
  12. Hi Merrek, Thanks for sharing that. Considering your affection for the F-16, have you taken a look at the Realsimulator F16SGRH? It can also be used with the TM Magnetic Base. Or with their FSSB R3L base.
  13. I don't see much of a downside here. The Thrustmaster Warthog Throttle is just fine. I would take it over the Virpil throttle anyday. (I own both, but much prefer the TM.) Or if one can afford it, sounds like the Winwing throttle is very good also. I also don't see any issue with using controllers from different manufacturers given that almost all sims can recognize multiple controllers. And there is Joystick Gremlin for those that don't. I think you make some very good points regarding mixing the TM controllers with the Virpil bases.
  14. Agree. I especially like their angle mounting bracket when using a side stick. And their mounts for MFD's. Tried the Virpil mounts but their clamping mechanism hogs up too much of desk top space. I much prefer the low profile of the Monstertech clamps.
  15. Just received these pedals. Serial #0008. Well packaged. Easy to assemble. Easy to adjust. Calibration spot on. An extra cam provided for those who desire a hard center. Am using default cam. Would highly recommend.
  16. Keep getting error message when closing program. Please see attached image. This is on both my WIN 7 and WIN 10 computers. Any ideas on what is causing it?
  17. Ok, don't know what I did wrong but I've run into problems with installing firmware and trying to calibrate. When I try to calibrate only the X and Y axes are responding. Also none of the button presses seem to be working. And on the black Black Box LED #2 is flashing red. The grip does show up under Devices and Printers. Only the X and Y axis are showing up as active. Have attached image showing firmware that was installed. Any ideas on how I screwed this up??
  18. Personally, I prefer the TPR pedals over the Crosswinds. However, they are more expensive than the Crosswinds and also in limited supply. Currently unavailable at Amazon. Assuming this is because of the coronovirus oubreak.
  19. It says 'available to purchase'. So if you want it, place your order and wait along with the rest of us. :P
  20. Just a heads up, when entering code in VKB's shopping cart hyphens need to be inserted into the spaces between the numbers in the discount code. Couldn't figure out why the code was being rejected until I reread the instructions for using the code at VKB's site. Don't know why the hyphens are missing from codes at DCS.
  21. That's weird. I've no problem with the site or with placing orders.
