Spoilt for choice-Simshaker Jet seat or HF8?
Tehrawk replied to rapid's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I havent. I just seen this video. After seeing this video, I am making my own version using external sound cards and transducers. It will be half the price of the UShake6, but it is not a plug and play solution. This video compares the UShake6 to the HF8. Basically says that it cant compare to a transducer system. I dont think any of them are ideal for flying yet. They definitely dont have the options available for racing sims. I will be using FlyPT Mover to control my transducers, and 80% of the options are for various car effects. But people say they still add to the immersion when flying. -

Really sorry to hear that Sven. I loved following your ridiculously ambitious project. It really is an inspiration. Hopefully you can land on your feet soon, and get back to it. -

UShake6 is best. But also more expensive. https://www.simracingstudio.com/product-page/srs-ushake6-includes-srs-license-for-bass-shaker It uses transducers, which have no delay and better feedback. The other two use a rumble technique similar to joypads. -

I think I got it to work now. Everything looks fine in visualizer. One thing that was throwing me off, was the right hand disappearing when the stick is not centered. The other thing was having to disable and reenable Leap every time I start DCS. What is the optimal way to use this? Hands invisible and no pointers?

Thanks again for your help Sielu. I am stuck again though. I am unable to get my hands to register accurately in VR. I can get it to sort of work on Leap version 5.6.1.0. But the pointers are way off to the right of the screen, and they seem to drop connection and stop moving momentarily. I have tried a few different versions. Including 4.1., 5.0 and 5.2. But none of those work at all. What software version should I be using. Do I need to copy over LeapC.dll from that version?

I designed a case, that could also house a small LiPo battery. I have attached the stl files if anyone is interested. I have not been able to get it to work though. I was able to flash the devices, and they are recognised as mice after restarting them. But I cant get them to register any mice clicks. I have no idea what I am doing wrong. I am running FingersApp.exe also. Left Finger.stl Left Finger battery box.stl

I finished the AH-64 cyclic. Works quite well. I had to chop off the rest, because it felt a bit too cramped. The 3d printed switches are a big finnicky to get right. Ill get back to the collective when I get some free time. -

Ah cool. It all makes sense now. I was wondering what those small pieces were for alright! That is a pretty genius solution. -

Thanks again for the AH-64 files Viper. I am really sorry to see you have to go through all the hastles you have been experiencing. Hopefully it will go a bit smoother from now on. I have printed out the cyclic and collective files you sent me. I printed them in ABS @ 0.12mm. I have sanded, filled, sanded and primed the collective. Im just getting ready to sand the cyclic. I am printing the hat switches etc in resin. I have pretty much every button I need. i just cant figure out what button to use on the lower trigger. I have some 12x12x7.3 mm Tactile Push Buttons, for the top trigger. But the other one, I cant find anything that fits. Do you know what button is intended for this? I am trying to source some shift registers, that are compatible with MMJOY2. I think they are going to hold everything up on me. -
