  1. It's the french special inverted cobra , gen5 fighter pilots are jealous of it ..
  2. Found this : http://www.mirage-jet.com/TURNRA_1/turnra_1.HTM https://www.quora.com/What-is-the-instantaneous-and-sustained-turn-rate-of-fighter-planes It can explains differences between Sustained Turn rate (STR) or instantaneous Turn rate (ITR). How do you estimate your turn rate ? Tacview ?
  3. Hello, Thanks for the advice. I guess the intake cones are automatically open while in supersonic flight. If you fully reduce the throttle, it will disturb the turbofan fuel/air ratio, and stall the engine. Key word of MF1 is : smooth The official ceiling altitude of MF1 is 52000 feet with a max ceiling altitude at 60700 feet (18500m) [1] . But those performance charts are given to an empy wings confifuration (configuration lisse) . By the way, the engine should not stall at 50k feet in normal flight operation. 4. This is quite frustrating, but keep in mind it's still an early access product. the best is ahead I'm sure real pilots don't appreciate to tie knots into their brain, and they prefer to keep the easier methods to estimate things. Why it would be different on sim ? I think there's no difference between setting your altimeter at the target QFE (nearly impossible on high elevation targets because of altimeter limitations), or simply add target elevation with local QNH to know at which altitude you have to press the trigger. Second method is much more easier : my opinion. Practice a lot, and you will find your own "settings" naturally. Happy flying !
  5. Thank you for sharing this excellent training campaign for mirage F1 As mentioned by Ramsay, the real magnetic variation of LCRA-Aktrotiri is +5.20°E https://www.aidu.mod.uk/aip/pdf/ad/LCRA-Akrotiri-Combined.pdf
  6. Most of time, if the altitude is above 2000 feet => throttle to idle + relight switch + keeping 300kts speed and 10° dive are enough to run the engine again. If the airplane is "shaking" or if you have engine misfires, it's maybe a compressor surge => Cut off the engine and then follow relight procedure.
  7. That's why comms and buddy spike calls are always useful
  8. Hello, Is it possible to add to kneeboard checklist the air pressure conversion table ? Like this chart : https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/upload/iblock/22e/1dwrbma741e8frfkvlbyuvjbm535rpnz/QFE_SETTING.png (package: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/fr/files/3316429/) Thank You
  9. I don't know how rotating knobs really works in the real mirage , neither in DCS Devel. In my opinion, the VOR/ILS course rotating knob is easier to use, and it's much more faster. Maybe use the same settings for the fuel totalizator ?? (or add different knobs like radio, to set thousand and hundred kgs, if the fuel tot gauge has enough space for that)
  10. Will try zoom function. Thanks for the advice
  11. Hello, I have some problems reading the alarm panel in VR. I'm using oculus Rift S. Can see lamps but not the text. (same behaviour as HUD) Maybe adding the panel in kneeboard should help. Regards,
  12. Already posted my settings in another thread, but could be useful for Thrustmaster TWCS Thottle owners.
  13. turn off mirrors and heat blur, you will save 20 fps ..
  14. Hi, Once we refuel the airplane, or add external tanks (bidons), we have to calculate the amount of remaining fuel of the aircraft. The hard part is to reset the fuel remaining indicator located in fuel controls main panel. It's only possible to increment by 1kg the fuel quantity. It's really painful to setup if you have to add 5000 kg of fuel. (in case of airborne refuel for example, once it will be released) Is it possible to improve the reset thumbwhell, by adding thousands units ? (by pressing and turning the knob for example, or using internal / external ring to select digits) or use a tweak reset function that calculates and set automatically this indicator ? Thanks
