  1. While the hacks are active, you will still see a list of servers showing up but keeping refreshing the list and notice that 99% of them have their "Game time" frozen which coincides with servers freezing.
  2. lol, my bad. Was just looking at thread titles and this caught my interest. There are a ton of free mods on the microsoft flight sim scene that if asked, creators would be willing to let others rip into other sims free of charge but like i said...only with express permision.
  3. Unless with express permission from the original owner/creator.
  4. Please check the final model will run in FC2 before poly reducing the hell out of that amazing model. Are you setting a 300k poly (tri's) limit or as a target you think will match the average gaming computer power? If so, please test before you start hacking away at that beauty. My original target for the bae hawk was somewhere around 60k (tris) based on the old FC1 engine performance, 9 pilots flying simultaneously and really low performance computers used by some pilots. Before that model was completed, FC2 had arrived but the main parts (that draw the eye) of the model had already been poly reduced to hell and back. This was both a blessing and a curse. A blessing in that i no longer needed to worry about any poly limitation in FC2 (tested with 18 hawks = 2.1 million polys (tri's) = negligible difference in fps - at least for me). But a curse because for the remaining components yet to be made or yet to be poly reduced could have higher detail yet if so, would not match the main areas that were now lacking the same level of detail....so i tried my hardest to reclaim that detail by going back to the original models and piecing bits of high detail sections back onto the low detail. That wasn't fun or quick at all!
  5. Can you export that component into Pro Mechanica please to perform structural tests like this one? :P It's just insane seeing that level of detail in your main gear door, almost looks to have the same detail as an engineering cad model....which is always a great to see! ;)
  6. Very nicely done leafer...keep us updated ;)
  7. Your topology looks fine....i can only see quads and no tris which is great. Going by the 5th picture, appears you've enabled a turbo smooth or mesh smooth modifier with iteration 1 (increased poly count 4x). If the remaining pics represent the base model, which looks fairly detailed to begin with then you're going to find alleviating the areas with bad polygon flow using turbo or mesh smooth will increase the total poly count dramatically. But since it's not being designed for a game...no need to worry about the polygon count. :smilewink: You can use smoothing groups to define edges of a model but it won't help to smoothen curved surfaces unless you have sufficient polygon detail to smoothen the sudden changes made in topology. If you're interested, I created a 4 part video back in 2009 on how i've used mesh smooth to create an aircraft model...maybe it can shed a bit of light on how to maximize the effectiveness and efficiency of mesh smooth. I'm continuously learning how to best use mesh-smooth and it can be a really tricky b*****d at times....so don't give up!....your doing great
  8. If you'd like to see the model in full HD, you can at the following link: http://livestre.am/Mozg
  9. Holy Hell....She's Gorgeous! What program are you using and what form of modelling approach are you using to create the fuselage? i.e. i use 3dsmax with meshsmooth.
  10. and 2 months later....hows it going?
  11. Well a T-45 variant wouldn't out of the realm possibility. The hard part is done, new gears, air brakes and tail hook and she'd be carrier worthy.
  12. czarnyolek, it will hopefully come with many colour schemes...all in good time ;) I beleive RED4|LittleDog has started on the skins for last years 2010 solo display. beaker, thank you very much...i really appreciate that. :)
  13. As you've already probably heard, the model is complete and now in full use by the VRA team. A big thanks goes to: RED1|Crow - Mapping, Texturing & Animations RED9|Trigen - Hawk Sound Mod RED6|Crash - Texturing RED8®|Ells - Texturing The model is not public yet, an update will be provided if and when it it does.
  14. Some amazing work Cory....cannot wait to see it when its finished.
  15. AMAZING!!! Can't wait to see you guys at vfat 2010
  16. is this only with flamming cliffs? And i have the XFX 5870 1gb with Asus P5Q-Pro mobo. All working fine.
  17. Thanks, found the track location as you directed. Though it seems when your start the same mission up it over-writes the previous saved track with the same mission name. I guess a simple rename to the track file after each flight will fix this Thanks again Panzertard
  18. Another bug to add to the list: The player who hosts the server doesn't get a saved track (.miz.trk) file. Tested with 3 different hosts and each tested as a client player. Only clients received a track (located in the temp folder).
  19. Bae Hawk T1 2010 solo display The virtual red arrows presents a new RAF 2010 solo display skin for the VRA hawk mod. All credits and thanks go to Little-Dog for his dedication, making this possible. Here are some screens... More info about the display to be announced.
  20. Short movie of some early 2009 training for our upcoming full VFAT 2009 show and movie. Hope you enjoy, rate, and comment  The pilots: RED 1 : Crow (Peter Hovland) RED 2 : Firstdate (Alexis Diemoz) RED 3 : MadMax (John Leckie) RED 4 : Shaggy (Björn Evans) RED 5 : R1pper (Martin Cooper) - me :D RED 6 : Eagle (Timmy Renotte) RED 7 : Baron (Mark Farrugia) RED 8 : Wombat (Jens Lingier) RED 9 : n/a (recruit) Movie by Ange
  21. Cheers bro.... Yeah, i already made the changes to the canopy shape. Now looking like the pictures.
