  1. HH-60 / MH-60. Given the enormous positive feedback of the UH-60 Mod it would be rewarding for ED or a 3rd party to offer an official module. Endless options for missions: Troop transport, cargo transport, aerial refueling, Special Forces insertion / extraction, CSAR, MEDEVAC... Maybe even fast rope and winch operations if they develop this.
  3. Hi Snappy, I fly night missions quite often, Special Operations especially with low level flying. It´s not easy with the NVG´s of the MI-8 but it´s possible, even with GPS, if you turn all the lights down. You have to use the three pairs of light controllers, which you know for sure and additionally the 5.5V controller behind the right pilot´s seat (see attachment). I wish we had something like the UH-60 / MH-60 in DCS, but for the time being the MI-8 is the best compromise, I think. I mapped the NVG adjustment to the toggle switch of my Thrustmaster F/A-18 grip. This is very useful. Do you have any idea how to simulate an IR strobe for LZ markings? It is difficult to see green smoke at night...
  4. Hi, I´m looking for realistic helicopter controls (cyclic and collective). At the moment I fly with TM Warthog+15 cm Extension (Sahaj) and TM WH Throttle as collective. Now I would like to improve my hardware... Has anyone experience with controls by microhelis.de? https://shop.microhelis.de/OH-58D Can anyone compare them to Komodo´s controls? Thanks so far!
  5. +1:) What I would like to fly is a modern, powerful and versatile helo.
  6. Hi, just finished my new MI-8 video. Enjoy :) https://youtu.be/7G_0P-2vcFU
  7. SOF raid on terrorist meeting - new MI-8 video Hi, just finished my new MI-8 video. Have fun :) https://youtu.be/7G_0P-2vcFU
  8. Hi, I often get a Generator failure a) during the Cold start sequence and b) after a landing. During the cold start it often (but not always) happens a while after shutting down the APU and raising the engine RPU to full. Sometimes everything is working fine, sometimes the Generator failure comes. I don´t know why because I always use the same check list. When I do landing practise the failure happens often after putting down the collective (but only after a while, not instantly). - ? I can provide trackfiles if that helps. Any idea? Is it a bug? Thanks!
  9. Hi, I got the same problem. I set a simple mission up, just for landing practise around Beslan. Several LZ´s on the riverbank just for training. Even during the start up the generator failed (engine RPM going down, had to put the throttle up again and again) which I never experienced before. I shut the mission down and restarted it. It went quite well until the first landing. After a few seconds on ground the message came "Generator 2 failure". I spooled the throttle up again and had to restart the Roll stabilizer. Then took off, flew without a problem and after the next landing same thing. Repeat at every landing. I never had that before. The start up procedure was correct and not different to my other flights. I do ´nt have a clue. It cannot be the altitude, because it was down in the lowlands on the river. Any idea? Thanks!
  10. A twilight calculator or even an illumination table (sunrise, sunset, begin morning nautical twilight (BMNT) end evening nautical twilight (EENT), moon rise / set) would be helpful to be able to plan the beginning of a mission - should it be dark night, dawn or broad daylight? Up to now you have to start the mission to test this and if it is dark, you won't know, for how long... The sun data must be available somewhere in the background of DCS because it´s working beautifully. We are just not able to see the data. https://aa.usno.navy.mil/data/docs/RS_OneYear.php This is an example. Enter your coordinates and get the light data for this place. But if in DCS it was more simple and we'd get just the sun data, that would be fine and help a lot.
  11. Definetely the eastern and southeastern part. That's where the heaviest fighting took (and still takes) place - in russian times and since 2001. Landscape has great variety: mountains, snow, large forests, desert, deep canyons in Paktika and also some medium sized cities as Jalalabad and Khowst. Great would be also the inclusion of the Tribal Areas of Pakistan, where some of the real bad guys are. The theatre would offer great opportunities for the upcoming MI-24, the MI-8, the whole bunch of fighters from MiG 21 to A-10 and F-16. Also for some really awesome Special Ops which were conducted especially in this region throughout the whole time. So pleeeeeease give us a kind of SpecOps Helo as MH-60 or another capable western medium sized helo (UH-60, Sea King, Puma...)
  12. Hi, I got the same problem always. Despite being in the checklist, the button seems tonbe non-functional.
  13. I also got problems with the AI Harriers taking off from TARAWA. They take off quite normal (not vertical), fly their route to the airfield, make their final and then suddenly getting kind of trapped in a low and slow forward hover until they crash into the next obstacle. There seems to be a bug in the landing procedure. The other planes I tested as comparison are all working fine. For the Viggens I even didn´t give them the landing waypoint, just some flyby waypoints and for Tornados I only gave them the command to start from parking position. Both the Viggens and the Tornados are landing fine (even without command) while the Harriers always crash even with the landing waypoint. Anyone made similar experiences?
  14. Sahaj 15 cm Extension I fly the KA-50 most of the time and am using the Thrustmaster Warthog Throttle as a collective (invert direction), TPR Pedals and the Warthog stick with the Sahaj 15 cm Extension and the original spring. I can highly recommend it! Very precise while soft, there´s no problem to conduct 2h missions at low level / terrain flight. Quality is very good and the package arrived 3 days after my order.
