  1. Nice pictures, funny story :)
  2. got it! Soldered the two crippled brown cable-ends together (using the red wire from "dead-pin"). Put it all together and it works now. :joystick:
  3. Hi Zahry, man you need to rethink your quality management. Seriously. Item arrived today. Attached it - buttons do not work. System freezes. Again and again. Totally disassemble your extension and checked all Pin to Pin connections with a multimeter. Found out that one pin connection is not working. So had to check all the wires to check if a cable is broken. Then I Found out: The freaking red cable belongs to the pin that should be dead (Thanks to metalnwood's post at SimHQ). You accidently connected the wrong pins and cut off the correct wire for the missing pin connection. It obviously can't work like that! Hope it did not damage my hardware. However the worst thing is that my wife is mad at me, because I spend the whole afternoon to find this out. Grrrrr!! :-P I now must cut down the whole ps2 connector to get access to the cable you accidently cut off and solder it to the crippled cable on the other connector. Fingers crossed. *Image shows the "pin that should be dead -but isn't". Therefor the pin right from this "dead pin" should be connected - but it ain't. :-/ @Miky: my delivery took quite a while but I don't blame zahry for that. The delay was caused by customs or toll whatwever you call those mosquitos.
  4. PeterP, your advice - as usual - helps to enjoy this game even more. I followed your instructions and all worked well. However, there is a point I would like to add: This tiny spring with its round plastic-head is there for a reason. It makes sure the pedals re-center at any time - especially if there is just a tiny input. It's there because this is a toy made in a toy fabric. Those pedals have tolerances during assembly process. So, if this small adjustment spring is removed, your pedals may not fully re-center. This may occur especially within small inputs - let's say 5-15% ruder and then let go both pedals, taking off both feet. You cannot feel or see this small deviation on your hardware but you can clearly see it in the software device settings. In case you use rubbers instead of that big spring or simply don't mind that re-center function, you are good to go. In Case you do care, there are two ways to make it fully re-center: 1. install a "deadzone", just a small one, 2-3% that's it. or 2. and this is what I recommend: Follow step #8 described in PeterPs' instruction because the friction caused by these parts is probably the main reason why this problem might occur. Oh and the issue "Wolle" reported seems important as well! Be carefull or mark those teeth.
  5. Thx Quirk, i tried what u said and must say zoom function assigned to that hat switch works quite well. However, i still would like to put that zoom function to that grey slider on Hotas Warthog.
  6. 1st of all, i did a forum search but coundn't find a sollution, so pardon me if this problem was allready discussed earlier. :book: Problem: Assigned zoom view to slider_2 (that grey slider THR_FC on HOTAS Warthog). Any slider position other than 0% (down), 50% (middle) and 100% (up) results in unsteady zoom shaking camera. It's slightly bouncing in and and out on the zoom axis. I disabled Trackir "z" axis to make sure there is no interferrence. Doesn't help. I use Trackir and TM Hotas via TARGET. Pls help
  7. What is actually the length of your stick extension you show on first page? Do you have a picture of the Color options as well? Orange sounds fancy.
  8. you guys might try this stuff as well. Works fine for me. thx thietze, for your How To.
  9. Hi zahry, same question as cowboy10uk. I want one :joystick:
  10. @Alphainfinity: Beautiful!
  11. its pointless to run x64 with less than 4gb anyway. can't report performance problems running vista 64. Then again, depends on system specs.
  12. This might be handy, however you'll need good equipment. And note that a good AKG or similar headphones beat the crap out of any noname headset/ 2. 1 or 5.1 Combo. Besides when the cockpit door is closed- that gives me enough KA-50 feeling. ED did a good job here, u can raise cockpit sounds (buttons, clicks, cannon, rockets etc.) and seperately adjust environmental sounds such as engines and stuff.
  13. Interesting thread here. I can understand boths sides, on the one hand ED can't simulate something that doesn't exist or wasn't proven. On the other hand its kinda frustrating getting shot out of no where without any warning. I also asked myself why would KA-50 run against Nato AA Systems like Patriot and co. Thus parts of the campains look indeed unbalanced to me. However and this has also been answered a couple of times: feel free to edit. Now i can't edit hidden units can i? Sry iam an editor n00b  :megalol: Besides, DCS BS is an outstanding plattform and i am looking forward for tons of campains/ missions done by the community.
  14. german one. The english one is available on dcs page and came with my copy. Would u mind sending it to me?
  15. u got a pdf manual as well? I'd like to have that one. :book:
  16. Not on the ABRIS but in 1st person view. here:
  17. I am not talking about sharp maneuvers here. It happened that i hovered at some point when wingman 2 asked permission to attack bandit. I allowed his request then he hit me from behind. I agree to allways have an eye on your flight group. However i just don't have the time for babysitting 3 Wingmen when i am in the middle of a battle. :joystick: Plus as i descriped this happened to me in hover mode, twice. @JAck: Will try. oh and a question: I've seen a producers note where Wingmen are marked red. Where is that secret button?
  18. My Wingmen are driving me crazy. First of all whats the best way (formation) to avoid your wingmen crashing into u? Its annoying when one of em buggers kills u with no reason. And what about the AI attack behaviour. It's weird sometimes. When i use em for attack they often die in a heroic suicide mission. For example: - Wingman detected targets from save distance. - I ordered him to hold position / gave him ingress point. - I ordered him to attack (a single!) datalink target he just spotted. - Although clear on sight (6 Km to target) and fully loaded with AT-Missles he went off to engage the target with full speed and died because he went way too far into bad country. What am i doing wrong? :helpsmilie:
  19. Good idea. Logitech Freedom / Evo FF Pitch/ Yaw Deadzone: 4 X Sat: 100 y Sat: 70 Curve: 20 Rudder Deadzone: 0 x Sat: 100 y Sat: 100 Curve: 15 Collective Deadzone: 10 x Sat: 100 y Sat: 90 Curve: 0
  20. I have it and can tell u that ff doesn't work as it should. The stick doesn't rest in the position where u trimmed. Instead the stick moves back the direction to center position. With small movements (then hit trim) u are fully back to center. It works for extreme inputs on x and y axis but still it comes back half the way. I tried about a day to configure it, then finally turned FF off. So far i read that the MS FF2 is the only stick where trim via FF actually works. :joystick:
