  1. Thank you all for taking the time to assist with very useful assistance E55-EF :pilotfly:
  2. Here's the Thrustmaster disassembled: The main pcb shows the lower switch contacts (carbon ptm) and throttle/rudder pot assembly these will be hard wired up to the collective stick. Next move is to bend the goose neck form 15mm copper pipe, attach and extend the grip wiring with 12 core cable. E55-EF
  3. Update: Well after a little more "Airtime" things are getting a little better and i am beginning to understand the dynamics required to fly the Huey in a reasonable fashion, but for a better feel ive opted to replicate her controls using the thrustmasters hand grip and internal electronics in a homebrew cyclic gooseneck and collective stick mashup albeit with much preciser potentiometers. The JoyStick i acquired was a used Saitek x45, dated i know and not really heli friendly, but what a difference it makes to overall control of my flight modules and very well laid out to Again thanks for the info its been invaluable. E55-EF Ps for interest ill post pics of my build as it progresses
  4. Thanks for the pointers Guys, All taken on board :pilotfly:
  5. Thank You Ive purchased a better JS to so hopefully things will get better E55EF
  6. Hi Wraith No Rudder pedals in use, i do have them but they need a repair so not implemented them yet. I do like the Huey but i am disappointed, if i cant resolve the flyability issues i will consider requesting a refund as at present i deem this model unusable and not fit for purpose, but hopefully that wont be the case and i certainly dont believe iam on my own with this issue ? 7. Hi All I recently purchased the Huey, but a week later and i still cant get this bird to fly stable to the extent it renders the game play impossible, i have tried countless known axis curve settings but its still like trying to swat a fly! The only way for a stable controlled flight is to switch on the Autopilot !, whereas the KA50 flys straight out the box, my JS is a thrust master T flight so not the best but it copes fine with the Ka which for all intents and purposes is a much more complicated heli ? Any assistance or pointers to the fix would be appreciated TIA E55EF
  8. HI Just treat my self to the Huey and i have an issues with the JoyStick ,no matter what flight/mission i select the thing goes haywire as soon as i fly and only autopilot+autolevel can stabilize it, its setup as default profile. Its a ThrustMaster flight Stick X which works ok with the KA50 ? Any assistance appreciated. TIA E55-EF
  9. I,d say the clips faulty as all three should be lit, and yes you should be able to set orientation within the software. Personally i believe i/r tracking is quite dated and over complex, why not take the MPU9250/Hatire approach which is very accurate and not dependent on ir light strength. http://www.edtracker.org.uk/ https://forums.bohemia.net/forums/topic/162571-head-tracking-for-under-10%C3%A2%E2%80%9A%C2%AC/?page=5 At approx 10 euro to build its more bang for your buck E55-EF :pilotfly: Make sure to use the 9250 as this as a magnetometer so no drift.
  10. Hi Capt Zeen Thank you very much for taking the time to offer such a comprehensive and informative reply, i will follow your advice to the letter and hopefully address both issues. Many Thanks E55-EF
  11. Hi Forum I am adding an additional 23" touchscreen monitor for the ka50 instrument panel and at the moment have Capt_Zeens Helios profile running on a 19" with mouse interaction. I would like to display the Shkval and Abris panels and also re-size the image to fit the 23" ts monitor, could you please assist or point me to a good tut on the subject. Thanks in advance E55-EF :pilotfly:
  12. Hi Whats rating of the psu powering the hub, and have you calculated the total ampage needed. E55-EF
  13. Thanks for this, helped me out a lot simple but informative. E55-EF
  14. Thanks for all the input i agree with Bad and have made the decision to stick with the multimonitor setup with an additional touch screen for the instrument panel, im a noob but love the whirlybirds and practise most days. The DK2 and i presume other VR headsets are,nt OTG friendly that and the poor graphics + the cost to upgrade gpu/cpu as put an end to my VR gaming foray for now. As for the 680,s yes i never expected a fantastic result with the display, just wanted a low cost peek at VR but they are more than capable with Lcds etc. E55-EF
  15. Thanks SVS, pressing 5 also gets me into the cockpit instead of riding on top of it lol Performance is what youd expect 26fps but surprisingly fluent display/graphics but certainly not playable on or off line as im getting a fairy light effect with the instruments and focus is very poor.
